Food was delicious!! I forgot to take a picture of the drinks but I had a strawberry lemonade and my sister had a strawberry alcohol one that she said was amazing. Will definitely go again to try the Mac n cheese with brisket. Gumbo - 9/10 if you don’t like spicy don’t get it Pot Pie - 7/10 - not very flavorful Chicken & Waffle - 9/10 Beignets - 8/10 too much bread Seasonal Pie - 9/10 if it had ice cream 10/10 lol

Hunter's is a fun and unique spot in South Boston! The atmosphere at night is great but it's also a good spot for Brunch. The Catfish & Chips was one of the best fish and chip dishes I've had, I highly recommend trying it! The Pulled Pork Sandwhich is also delicious! I wasn't the biggest fan of the Popcorn Chicken but it is good. Definitely recommend coming here for food!

To get it out of the way the experience here was awesome. Forgot what is was called but we got a chicken platter which seemed like a Sunday special. It was way more food than I thought we’d get (which I’m not complaining about). The chicken had good flavor and wasn’t dry, not the best I’ve had but definitely not the worst, I enjoyed it all the way through. The sides were really good. The collard greens were fantastic with a hint of spiciness that complimented it really well. The only thing I didn’t love although it tasted good was the cornbread. For me, it was a little underdone but I think that’s how they make them there because I asked to return it and although the new one was more cooked it was still a softer texture cornbread than I’m used to. The atmosphere is nice, welcoming and entertaining. Our waitress was awesome and really nice and accommodating.

The snacks/appetizers are great, the entrees are alright. Cocktails are great. It’s a little loud for Sunday dinner and a the a/c wasn’t very strong so it was hot. It seems like it could be a good cozy bar scene. I got the pimento grilled cheese which was a glob of pimento cheese. I really like pimento cheese, but this was a ton. The berry cocktail was really good

Perfect atmosphere, love the intimacy hunters gives off down to the private bathroom. The food is above perfection, wings served crispy, the cheddar biscuits savory and sweet, but a must have; anything chicken with the Nashville seasoning. The seasoning has the perfect amount of spice where you can’t stop eating it. It goes down great with ant specialty made drink.

Had my eyes on this spot for about 2 years. The shrimp and grits is what attracted me to this spot and oh maaannn did they deliver! Chill relaxing vibe, good service and good drinks too.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about but this restaurant has improved! It is definitely a younger crowd. I went here for the first time with my friend and we had such a great time! I believe our waitress was Alessandra and she was so sweet and the service was perfect! My friend and I each had two drinks and we shared four appetizers which we enjoyed very much! It also smelled great in there because of the Christmas theme. Very cozy, I loved it there!

Been here several times now and never disappointed! This time around we ordered the popcorn chicken both spicy and traditional style and they were so juicy and tender, not too spicy so I really enjoyed that! Then we ordered the brisket sliders which were absolutely delicious! The biscuit was so flavorful and the brisket was so tender and had the best sauce. Next the chef suggested the shrimp and grits which was hands down the best dish ever! The grits had a nice smoky flavor and the sauce drizzled over was amazing, jumbo shrimp cooked to perfection. One of us had the spicy chicken sandwich with the biggest piece of chicken, so juicy! I had the seafood gumbo, because it’s my favorite! Mom had the chicken and biscuits, which she enjoyed. A nice mojito and strawberry rose sangria were our cocktails. Everything was perfect! Can’t wait to go again soon!! And I love the quaintness of this please, super friendly wait staff too!

SO GOOD!!! I saw this place on Instagram so my husband and I went for our anniversary. The inside is small but cozy and has a really cool vibe. It has a high ceiling above the bar with a big chandelier and a warm rustic feel throughout. They have very limited seating, I think they said 10 tables inside and a few outside tables with heat lamps. We had a few of their specialty drinks and they were delicious! The menu had plenty to choose from but without being overwhelming. We had the cornbread (yum!!), Popcorn chicken (good chicken but didn't love the honey mustard sauce), fried pickles (very salty but good), and pulled pork Mac and cheese (delicious). Everything was VERY rich though so keep that in mind if your eyes are bigger than your stomach.

Came here on a Saturday around 2 pm, and of course the place is packed. Was told there was a two hour wait for a seat... Then, before you could say anything, the hostess looks over her shoulder and spots three seats at the bar, Fantastic!! My friends and I enjoyed the place very much. It is LOUD here, just like we like it, don't come in at such a busy time if you can't yell your conversation :) Service at the bar was Excellent! The food was good, we enjoyed ribs, brisket and nashville hot chicken sandwiches, all on point. My favorite of the day? The corn bread, it was melt in my mouth. Had to order a second one to take home, it was THAT good. When in Southie, definitely stop by a for a visit.

Read a bunch of the reviews, and I have to agree with the noise level in the restaurant is tough to have a conversation over dinner. They may have been a bit short staffed in the kitchen as our simple meals took almost 25 mins to prepare and serve. On the positive side, the food was delicious. We have the corn and crab chowder and it was quite tasty. We also had the jambalaya and the 1/2 fried chicken dinner....both of those portions were huge! The jambalaya came with rice and was more than just a single meal. The fried chicken dinner came with awesomely creamy mashed potatoes, collared greens and corn bread. Together, this could've easily served 2 of us. Nice fund. Will recommend to others that wants something different than Italian or seafood! Enjoy!
