In
summary,
very
mixed
feelings
about
this
place,
probably
a
decent
option
for
work
related
stays
but
better
to
be
avoided
for
any
form
of
special
occasion
or
vacation.
We
stayed
at
the
hotel
for
one
night
as
an
IHG
Platinum
member
with
the
specific
intention
to
celebrate
new
year
as
a
couple.
We
booked
the
stay
including
the
dinner
buffet.
The
good:
-
the
building
is
really
nice
and
modern.
The
rooms
are
large.
The
bathtub
was
one
of
the
longest
I
have
seen
in
any
hotel.
We
had
a
nice
view
from
the
room.
-
The
swimming
pool
is
nice
and
was
quite
warm.
-
Importantly,
the
whole
complex
is
very
safe
-
The
breakfast
buffet
was
extensive
-
I
did
feel
like
the
staff
tried
to
help
with
the
many
issues
we
faced,
but
was
probably
just
disorganized
or
untrained.
So...
The
Bad:
-
We
booked
via
the
app
but
by
accident
only
entered
one
person.
When
we
tried
to
add
a
second
person
at
the
frontdesk
the
staff
was
overwhelmed
and
we
needed
to
talk
to
the
IHG
person
and
it
took
them
in
total
30
minutes
to
figure
this
out.
Also
after
we
were
in
the
room
they
told
us
they
forgot
to
ask
for
the
signature
and
would
need
to
come
to
the
room
to
get
it.
I
really
wonder
if
the
front
desk
staff
is
properly
trained.
-
The
biggest
issue
we
encountered
was
when
we
tried
to
go
to
the
buffet
dinner
we
had
booked
with
our
reservation
in
the
evening
and
we
were
told
all
restaurants
are
closed
because
it's
NYE
and
the
only
way
to
get
food
is
to
either
get
some
bites
in
the
very
basic
looking
hotel
bar
or
have
room
service
deliver
a
la
card.
So
we
choose
a
la
card.
After
90(!)
minutes
the
food
arrived
but
they
were
out
of
some
items,
worse
yet,
a
number
of
items
were
incorrect
which
is
a
big
deal
as
we
have
food
restrictions.
We
called
them
and
told
them
what's
wrong
/
not
edible,
they
said
they
would
deliver
it,
we
waited
for
three
hours
and
they
never
did.
In
summary
probably
the
worst
NYE
experience
in
any
hotel
we
have
had.
-
small
nuisance,
no
pillows
on
the
pool
bed,
had
to
lie
on
the
wood,
and
no
towels,
we
chased
the
staff
and
it
took
them
a
good
20
minutes
to
find
towels.
-
even
though
the
complex
is
safe,
the
hotel
is
on
top
of
the
hill
so
you
can't
easily
walk
places.
What
makes
matters
worse
is
that
the
hotel
charges
an
astounding
amount
for
the
hotel
taxi
(i.e.
150
USD
(!)
for
a
10
minute
airport
dropoff
that's
just
5-6km
away,
that
is
exactly
50x
what
a
normal
taxi
on
ride
hailing
apps
charges,
so
luckily
the
staff
helped
calling
a
regular
taxi
via
their
app,
note
international
ride
hailing
apps
don't
work
in
Luanda
at
this
time
so
you
need
a
local
number
and
you
need
to
pay
cash...
-
Which
brings
us
to
the
next
problem,
there
is
no
ATM
in
or
around
the
hotel,
nor
is
there
a
way
to
exchange
money,
that
seems
like
a
very
rudimentary
service
lacking
here.
So
if
you
don't
bring
cash,
be
prepared
to
pay
for
the
most
expensive
taxi
rides
of
your
life
-
the
lobby
is
stunning
but
the
cool
glass
elevator
was
not
functioning
-
to
top
it
off,
both
of
us
got
food
poisoning
after
the
stay.
Since
the
only
items
we
shared
were
during
breakfast
it
was
probably
one
of
those
