Donā€™t....just donā€™t! Checked in at check in time, to be told the 2 rooms we had werenā€™t clean. We were in town for a concert, so we changed clothes in one of the dirty rooms, then went to the concert. When we got back at 1 am, to open the doors to both rooms still dirty. Went to the front desk and the poor lady was frantic with angry patrons just like us. They gave us two new rooms, which one was at least clean, but the other had tiles missing out of the shower stacked on the sink with sheet rock filling the tub. Went back to the front desk, with still more angry patrons to finally be given a clean room. This place is in serious need of upgrades. The photos online are of when the place was new, so donā€™t be fooled. When we were ready to leave the parking lot was full of cars that had broken widows that had been robbed in the middle of the night. It was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Check in is at 3 PM. Itā€™s nearly 7 PM and my room is STILL dirty. Iā€™ve been freezing in the lobby waiting for a room Iā€™ve already paid for. Numerous of people have checked in and gotten rooms while I still sit here at wait. Apparently they were short staffed for housekeeping today. Thatā€™s not our problem. Call a third party cleaning company and handle the situation. Itā€™s graduation weekend in a college town. A well-managed hotel should be able to handle this situation. Their own employee at the front desk even admitted all they were doing is changing sheets and not doing full room cleanings! Gross!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME HERE!

This could be a very nice hotel with some remodeling. The staff were friendly and did their best to accommodate guest given the lack of management. We arrived and key cards were not working so escorted to our room which was occupied by a family. The family was told they were put in our room by mistake because their room was being cleaned by the one cleaning lady for the entire hotel! I feel sorry for the people that have to work at this hotel. Horrible conditions for anyone to have to sleep in let alone work in.

Very nice hotel, a little old fashioned, you can tell it was once a very nice hotel. There was some spots with damage, but not horrible. Receptionist was very helpful. As for our room, very cozy, there were a few small stains on carpet, you could tell they tried to clean it. The bathroom light was out but our room was a suite with a second bathroom so we didn't mind (we did inform them when we left). The pool was very nice and scenic, it was warm. The breakfast was good, biscuit and gravy bacon sausage cereal milk waffles juices coffee and eggs. Over all great for what we paid. Will stay again.

We booked the Executive Suite with credit card miles. When I went to check in on Saturday at 3:50 pm, the young man at the counter (appeared to be a manager) was very unprofessionally dressed and said that housekeeping was running way behind. When we returned a few hours later, they didn't have any more Executive Suites available, so they gave us a regular room. (Tammy at the desk was professional and at least attempted to provide good customer service.) They promised to send two rollaway beds, but we only received one. Our room did not look like the photos online, and our bathroom door would not completely close. The fountain in the middle of the hotel had stagnant water that was starting to turn anaerobic. At the pool and another location in the hotel, several wet ceiling tiles had fallen on the floor before we arrived, and they had not been cleaned when we checked out. The breakfast was good (eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal). Unfortunately, the hotel seems to be substantially understaffed and falling into disrepair.

It was horrible, room smelt like it had been smoked in, and basically the whole room was nasty. Carpet was stained and looked nasty, couch was stained and nasty. The night stand drawer had crumbs of candy or crackers being spilled in it and not cleaned. The handicap bar in the shower was so loose it was about to come out of the wall, obviously a potential hazard. Vending machines were not working and would take your money. Front desk was notified and all they could say was that they would write it down. Never heard another word about the money we lost. The pictures that are advertised online of what the rooms look like are not even close to the actual rooms look like once you walk into your room. I could go on and on. An incredible miserable stay. Do not use this hotel......

Absolutely poor service and unsanitary conditions. Checked in to our room to find bed sheets dirty with dog hair, stains and burns from cigarettes. Lamp shade covered in ash even though it was booked as non-smoking. The smell of smoke was very strong. The door would not latch closed and didnā€™t have security latch to hold in place. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Shower had mold and the floor looked as if had not been cleaned in a very long time. When we went back to the desk, because they wouldnā€™t answer the phone, Anthony said there was not a thing they could do because they were sold out. Called Expedia to cancel and they spoke with manager Nicole who magically had a new room for us to move too because they refused refund. The 2nd room had crackers all over the floor and the beds had not been made yet. This was after 430pm when check in was at 3. I refused to stay in this hotel. We left and enjoyed our stay at the Hampton inn which was very clean and had amazing service. If i could rate Ava hotel with a 0 stars I would. Renters beware!

If I could give this place NO STARS, I would! Iā€™m not the one that usually write reviews but I wouldnā€™t dare let others stay here! I was sold an indoor room yet when arriving my room was outside and didnā€™t not come with all amenities such as microwave and fridge. We stayed for a couple of days and had to ask for them to clean our rooms which they did not even do the whole time here!!!!! When did cleaning rooms become an option?!?!?? We requested towels which they did not have!!! We were inform laundry service would be here on our second day around 9am, I guess they never made it! I had to go buy our own towels due to them not having towels and the one they did have were stained to bad for use as well as purchasing toothpaste( because they didnā€™t have that as well as shampoo). Staff lied about providing certain services and did not do for a duration of four days. All and all donā€™t do it go to super 8 or even motel 6!!

Hotel has inadequate management. I stayed here 2 weeks and my room was moved 3 times during the short period. It was not easy since I had my 4 children with me and the management could care less. I was only offered by one cleaning lady for her to help. Then she ended up not assisting in anyway probably because the management instructed her not to. Their cleaning staff is beyond lazy for the most part and does not service the rooms unless told to multiple times sometimes not even then. I moved rooms the first time because we stayed an entire week and nothing was done to our room not even the trash getting taken out. There are parts of the building structure where you can visually see it falling apart and it isnā€™t a very safe environment for kids. Their breakfast isnā€™t all that great either, and the staff at the restaurant is unpleasant as well. All in all this hotel either needs to be torn down or just hit a complete 180 turn around to be an adequate place to stay.

The rooms are spacious but do not get cleaned and the sheets donā€™t get washed regularly. They put me in 4 different rooms before finding one that was ā€œsemi-cleanā€. The sheets had hair, stains, and other remnants in them...one bed even had the remote still under the sheets. According to the front desk staff, the washing machines havenā€™t been working for quite some time and the owner has no intention of fixing them because it would cost too much. The bathrooms had wads of hair in the floor, one toilet hadnā€™t been flushed, and there was hair in and around the sink. Hotel has a large amount of drug use clients and saw multiple used needles and drug remnants in the parking lot and the surrounding shrubs.

When we first checked in and went to our room the door was cracked open... so... pretty sketchy from the get go. We opened the door and the lights wouldnā€™t turn on, there was no bedding on the beds, and the room stunk. We immediately went back to the front desk and changed rooms. He apologized and gave us a new room, this room is a little better, but not by much. Stains all over carpet, furniture, and even spots on the sheets. Iā€™m feeling really creeped out by some of the others Iā€™ve seen staying here. If it werenā€™t for the fact that Iā€™ve been traveling for 12 hours with 2 toddlers and am completely exhausted I wouldnā€™t stay here. Iā€™m pretty sure this is a crack hotel. Avoid it if you can.

The staff was friendly. The foyer was beautifully decorated. I enjoyed the indoor pool, sauna and gym. However, several machines were not in working order. The decor was pleasing and the spaciousness of the public areas were impressive. The beds were nice and comfy. Ā I did not like the cleanliness. The trash can was full upon my arrival in my room. There was a drink left in the refrigerator. The ice machine and the soda machines did not work on any of the floors. The Wi-Fi did not work. Pets were allowed to run off leash. Currently, the hotel is under renovation. Hotel Ava is beautiful, and has lots of potential and possibilities. Overall, I felt safe. It was comfortable and at a convenient location with access to many restaurants. I would love to stay again when the renovations are complete.
