I
came
to
the
office
with
carpal
tunnel
for
a
hydrodecompression
treatment
(6
months
ago).
The
procedure
involves
injecting
saline
into
the
canal
where
the
nerve
is
located.
The
procedure
cost
PLN
2,300,
a
follow-up
visit
after
a
month
another
PLN
300.
The
clinic
and
the
entire
service
were
fine.
I
have
great
doubts
about
its
effectiveness.
The
symptoms
actually
disappeared
3
weeks
after
the
procedure,
but
only
for
3
weeks.
So
I
returned
with
a
complaint,
but
I
was
still
charged
another
PLN
300
for
the
visit
and
received
recommendations
for
physiotherapy
treatments
(shock
wave
+
high-energy
laser).
These
treatments
cost
another
3
x
PLN
230
and
actually
helped
for
about
2
weeks.
So
I
went
for
conductivity
tests
again
and
unfortunately
the
conductivity
results
did
not
improve
at
all
after
the
hydrodecompression
treatment.
With
the
results,
I
went
to
the
surgeon
who
referred
me
for
surgery.
The
surgeon
confirmed
what
I
had
felt
myself,
that
hydrodecompression
cannot
cure
carpal
tunnel,
but
only
provide
temporary
relief
by
unblocking
the
nerve
from
the
canal.
To
sum
up,
it
was
a
pity
to
spend
almost
PLN
4,000
if
I
had
to
undergo
surgery
anyway.
Taking
into
account
the
fact
that
the
treatment
involves
inserting
salt
for
a
few
PLN,
it
should
cost
several
times
less.
Then
there
would
be
some
sense
in
spending
this
money
waiting
for
proper
treatment.
