I came to visit the hotel and the museum, i visited in the summer and the hotel had a jewish Ukrainian refugee camp staying here. I was so appalled when i walked in i heard the receptionist cursing out a 8 year old jewish boy and you can her hate on her face. 8 years old, what could he have done to you? But it didnt end there. I went through the restaurant on the way to the synagoga and i heard it again but now from the waitress. I didnt know that when the hotel offers a "jewish experience" this is whar the jewish experience is....

It is a little disheartening to see a former מקום תורה now being used as a hotel. But the fact that there is still an active shul maintaining the קדושה is comforting

The Synagogue in Chachmei Lublin Yeshiva is a synagogue located in Lublin, Poland, in the building of Chachmei Lublin Yeshiva. The synagogue was completed in 1930 along with the rest of the complex of the Chachmei Lublin Yeshiva. Apart from religious functions, it was used as a lecture hall for the yeshiva , having been able to seat over 200 students. During the Second World War, the building was vandalized by the Nazis, and all of the contents were damaged or dispersed. After the war, the building of the yeshiva was taken over by the Medical University of Lublin. The room of the synagogue was redecorated and adjusted to needs of the University. The colouring of walls and columns was changed, and the windows located on the Eastern wall were bricked up. The synagogue, having an area of 200 square metres (2,153 sq ft) is within the second and third floor levels in the southern wing of the building. The main prayer room has a section for women, which has an entrance at the third floor. A separate staircase leads to the platform. It is based on 8 green, round Corinthian columns, placed on three sides of the room.

A Jewish place of life before the holocaust. The only reason the building is still standing is because the Nazis used it as an office. Now it's a hotel, but you can still see the synagogue.

A visit to the synagogue and to the museum exhibits in the adjoining rooms is the best 10 zloty one will spend in Lublin. And there is a kosher hotel restaurant downstairs, which is pricey but an experience in itself.

Great museum. Please help me identify the man in this photo, we suspect it might be our relative and we would like to learn more about him. Visited this museum back in 2013.
