I gave it four stars, instead of five, for two main reasons: lack of elevators and a prevalent, downright obnoxious presence of Catholic symbols, mainly crosses. Crosses are everywhere- in the rooms, corridors and the cafeteria. There is even an active church in the hotel which makes for a very unwelcoming atmosphere for members of other faiths or non-believers. The lack of elevators will be a problem if your mobility is impaired. You will not have access to some of the attractions of the hotel like the viewing terrace on the 2 floor. Aside from that, the place cannot be faulted for cleanliness, and it can be downright praised for food, service and ample parking. Also, it's in a great location right in the center. If the religion aspect or the elevators don't bother you, you will find this place a good value for the money.

Super comfortable and stylish accommodation. With parking. In the front of the old castle 🏰. Have automatic doors 🚪. In the room you have: coffe stick ☕, 3 tea 🍵 packets (black, green, fruit), sugar and milk (creeame) for individual size cup. Cup for coffee or tea and glass for water. One bottle of mineral water. Small electric cattle. Surprisingly but room also have warm plaid (holds in wardrobe). Lot of restaurants near.

I initially planned to stay at Dom na Podwalu only for two nights but my plans soon changed, and considering my initial experience there, I was very happy to extend my stay. All of the receptionists were polite, friendly and helpful, especially when I had problems with the coffee vending machine! My room was clean, large enough for one person and well equipped, with a modern and functional bathroom. I really liked the tidy and spacious breakfast room, which offered a great choice of food and drinks. The person working in there was always and so kind to have meat-free scrambled eggs made for me, when I asked if that was possible. Be it the relaxing atmosphere of the place, given that Dom na Podwalu is adjacent to a church, be it the friendliness of the locals, I can honestly say this has been the best accommodation I can remember among all my recent travels.

Really great hotel, super value, super breakfast.

A very good hotel in the building of former monastery. I spent there three nights on the business trip. Rich buffet breakfast. Some rooms are smaller. Parking is free. The location between the castle and the old town is amazing.

Close to old Town so it is great place if you want to visit Lublin. Clean rooms, but nothing special. Great breakfast and service at The reception. Own parking its A plus.

What an exceptional level of service! They were out of rooms when I showed up (I did NOT make an advance reservation). Instead of "sorry..." Daria recommended some other hotels, called for availability, and arranged a taxi. She did not have to do this, but it was very much appreciated. Thank you.
