On 13th February 2022 I joined Martin for his Communism in Lublin/Poland tour. I have been visiting Lublin for many years but I had little knowledge about the origins of communism, the fall of communism and life under communism and just how important Lublin is in the story of communism in Poland. Martin was an excellent guide with a comprehensive knowledge of the subject. I really liked the fact that he showed us many photographs to help us understand, some of the pictures were old photos of shops and buildings that we we actually standing in front of. Martin presented the subject of communism from a human angle and injected some light and amusing stories to what was sometimes a brutal, very restrictive regime. Highly recommended.

Nice guide, nice tour, good vibes. Perfect 3 hours walking tourto learn city basics, then next day you can walk in the city like local. Recommend !!!!

Together with my husband we took a Spooky Lublin tour. It was very entertaining and enjoyable tour providing us with a good education of the darker history of Lublin ;-) The guide and his tales were amusing and float well from one story to another. And we saw parts of Lublin that we would not normally discover! Highly recommended to the English speaking crowd!

Martin is a great guide. The tour were around 3 hours. We learnt a lot of new information. It was fun. He also gave us extra tips after the tour on where to eat and what to do. Definitely recommend Martin 😌

Our group chose to have private Lublin’s old town tour. Wow! We heard a lot of stories and jokes which are not part of regular history books :) Maybe I am wrong, but it seemed like Martin adjusted the tour based on our insterests. We were with children (aged 6-13), they were equally interested and did not get too tired.

Being a tour guide in Kraków, I was very interested in learning about the history of Lublin. I stumbled upon Martin, who happens to be Dutch, so I was even able to receive a private tour in my own language! Martin is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to adjust the tour to the interest of his clients. He showed me everything I wanted to see and even got me entrance to crypts that are normally not accessible. I learned to much, I love Lublin even more now!
