Wow this place is amazing! We traveled from Columbus to check out the museum and we weren’t disappointed. We have a membership with Columbus Museum of Art and through the reciprocal agreement program this was all free for us. The museum itself is free but normally you would pay $10 for parking. But since we have the membership it was free. They had works of art from all eras and I was happy to see a Renoir as those are my favorites! We spent 3 hours and didn’t get to see everything before they closed. We will be back! They have a little coffee shop with food (we didn’t go in so I can’t review that piece). They have bathrooms up and downstairs. Plenty of parking and everything is accessible. Check this out, you won’t be disappointed!

I loved it here and want to go back soon. I went on a Friday when it was not crowded and found it very peaceful. Beautiful building and grounds and the museum features wonderful artwork. And admission is free! You pay for parking inside and it’s super easy.

We haven't been to TMA for a few years, so I took my 12 year old son and his friend. We all loved it. They learned a lot. I forgot some of the more famous pieces they have on display.

The ceilings are high, the exhibit is large and spacious and beautifully set up. There are multiple items to review in one space. The art is interesting and there is so much to read. You can literally spend 5 hours at this museum just reading everything and learning. It's free with $10 parking. There are multiple places to sit in every room, the staff is friendly, and the environment is quiet and extremely well kept up. Love it here.

The Toledo Museum of Art is absolutely beautiful. It's definitely one of my favorite places to visit in Toledo. They have some amazing art exhibits with tons of beautiful art. They have an excellent Egyptian exhibit too. If you love art, I definitely recommend coming to the Toledo Museum of Art.

Truly a world class museum on par with some of the best in the world. The collection is huge and quite diverse covering ancient all the way to modern Make sure to see the glass pavilion for a extensive collection historic and artistic glass. The museum is free and the parking fee is reasonable.

Pretty impressive; a Van Dyke, Monet's Water Lillies, a couple of Van Gough on loan. Didn't see any Rembrandt's.

First time visiting the museum. The staff was professional and friendly and the museum exhibits were awesome. Spent 3 hours and ran out of time. Looking forward to going back. The Caravaggio exhibit was special and I learned a lot about the artist, his life, and style. I have a new appreciation for art in the little time I spent there.

I was very impressed with the Toledo Art Museum. It's free and you can easily spend a few hours here. The ancient art room is absolutely beautiful and I could spend hours just sitting there. The collection is surprisingly great. The staff was all super friendly. And the giftshop had a lot of cool glass.

Great museum! The mummified cat was neat. They had some really nice pieces and everyone we spoke with that worked there was super nice. If you get to close to something it announces that you’re too close and to back up. Beautiful pieces in the gift shop as well.

Came on a field trip with The Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club. We saw an amazing exhibit of artworks by Jacob Lawrence. Very nicely curated. It's such an amazing museum and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I am happy to have learned this gem that is just over an hour away from Detroit.

The museum was great. Some modern, contemporary, and a good amount of the great fine arts. It would be nice if parking was free, but I'm sure it goes towards the Museum

I am so grateful to have such an incredible art museum in our city. My son & I frequent this place. We always enjoy ourselves. If and when he does get antsy about not interacting with the art, we just head downstairs where he can touch EVERYTHING! My little dude has been Culturally educated and inspired with the opportunities we've had to visit this place from such an early age. Thanks Toledo!🖼🎨🌃🎵😎

Went to see the traveling Age of Armor exhibit that is currently on display. It was wonderfully laid out with an available audio tour. How ever long you think you'll be there, add time. There's much to see.

First time visiting TMA. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of art - Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh. It was very eye opening. Also visited the Age of Armor exhibition. The museum admission is free. Paid for parking $8.

It was a bigger museum than I expected and curated well. The inside layout is a bit confusing but you can see a lot. You get a lot of hope for good items when you first walk in and see the Van Gogh and Monet right away, but that was about it. There was a small Rodin Thinker as well. All in all, a good time, and worth a visit if you are in the area

What a treat! This is one of the best destinations on our trip. What a bargain! I believe it's 30,000 pieces of Art and a $0 admission fee! Only $8 for parking and you get the likes of Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet and Egyptian art and more things than I could possibly name. It would take probably several days to get through this Museum and we plan to return next month.

My son took the Art in the Dark class and he loved it! He wants to take more classes there. I really like how, not only is it a specific class, but they also got to visit parts of the museum and learn about different exhibits too. He worked on several pieces of art over a week. Definitely recommend!

First impression from a concert venue perspective. Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle Theatre is very nice. Beautiful design. The staff very helpful and polite. I recently saw the Queens of Soul concert on Jan 29th. The TSO and singers were excellent. The sound system was off. At times you could barely hear the singers over the orchestra and at other times the voices were perfect. I was only 50 from the stage. The only other concern- there is only one mens/women's rest room in the theater. There was a huge line of people at both bathrooms during intermission. One bathroom each. I don't understand that. No concessions at this time as well. Overall I will try this spot again in the near future.

A world-class museum that doubles as a wonderful Toledo date-night location. The docents are generally friendly and helpful, and regardless of one's artistic tastes there's likely a gallery to satisfy. HIGHLY recommend!

The Toledo Museum of Art has a wonderful collection of art. It is very accessible with convenient access and parking. The art covers a large genre of art: from print, painting, sculpture along with works in aesthetic art expressed in furniture, carves stone and glass. It is an excellent mix of modern, impressionist and traditional expressions of art. Our visit to the museum with our grandchildren today was an introduction to the protocols, the beauty and necessity of fine art in a cultured world. I knew that I would enjoy the museum. I am well pleased that they each found their own points of pleasure which piqued an interest in the arts.

This is a great museum with impressive Egyptian collection amongst many others. Don't miss the glass gallery across the street housed in a sleek glass building designed by Pritzker recognized architects. Nothing against Toledo, but this is much more museum than you might expect in such a city.

Really great place to spend time in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm not into all the details of art but can appreciate what went into most of what you see. The featured exhibits are always amazing and worth the small fee they charge. The Caravaggio exhibit was worth every penny. I had zero knowledge of this artist or his work and i would pay to see it again. The cafe is also a great place to eat and it helps the museum so grab a bite as the food is well made and delicious.

I wrongfully believed that an art museum in Toledo would have what would be considered a 'laughable' collection at best. I'm pleased to have been proven utterly incorrect, and pleasantly surprised at the variety and scope of pieces on display. We also got to visit during the Paranormal exhibit, which was amazing! I had barely gotten past the first few pieces when we unfortunately ran out time, so I wasn't able to spend nearly as much time there as I would have liked. All in all, it was a more than satisfying experience that I will definitely look forward to having again.

Wonderful, large and diverse collection of various paintings, sculptures, etc from various points in history. Museum cafe is also an actual restaurant and is pretty good. Certainly large enough to spend hours looking and still not get through it all.

Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Toledo Zoo, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. As someone who has visited many zoos in the past, the Toledo Zoo stands out as one of the best experiences I've ever had. From the moment we entered the beautifully landscaped grounds, I knew I was in for a fantastic day. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff members who guided us through the layout and daily events. Their dedication to providing visitors with an exceptional experience was evident in their warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. The diverse array of animal exhibits at the Toledo Zoo was nothing short of awe-inspiring. From the captivating Arctic Encounter, home to the majestic polar bears and seals, to the captivating African Savanna teeming with giraffes, zebras, and lions, there was no shortage of breathtaking encounters. Each exhibit was thoughtfully designed to replicate the animals' natural habitats, promoting their wellbeing and providing an authentic experience for visitors. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education was evident through the engaging interactive displays, guided tours, and various presentations available throughout the day. It was refreshing to see an institution dedicated to preserving and educating people about the importance of wildlife and their ecosystems. As a family-friendly destination, the Toledo Zoo went above and beyond in providing exciting activities for visitors of all ages. My children particularly enjoyed the interactive playground, the educational and entertaining train ride, and the chance to feed some friendly animals in the petting zoo. The sight of their excited faces as they interacted with the animals was worth the visit alone. One of the highlights of our visit was the enchanting aquarium, where we marveled at the colorful fish, graceful sea turtles, and mesmerizing jellyfish. The meticulously maintained tanks provided an immersive and calming experience that left a lasting impression. Despite the zoo's popularity, the layout and crowd management made the whole day feel relaxed and enjoyable. The walking paths were clean, well-maintained, and easily navigable, with numerous benches and shady spots to rest when needed. In conclusion, our visit to the Toledo Zoo last weekend was an unforgettable experience, one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic day out with family or friends. It's not only a wonderful place to create memories but also an essential destination for learning about our world's fascinating wildlife and ecosystems. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this incredible gem in Toledo!

Great options for kids to play and make their own art. The restaurant insider is spacious and accommodating for people with kids. The gift shop had a great balance of ridiculously expensive things and kid-friendly items. So many exhibits full of artifacts and then great contemporary sections as well. Support this museum!!!

The Toledo Museum of Art has so much to offer for engagement and wedding photo locations! I much prefer the outdoor locations so I do not impede on museum-goer experiences, but they are so good you won't even miss the indoor spots! There are marble columns for some classic and regal-looking photos and then there are pathways surrounded by unique art. My favorite spot is this cool metal building/wall. Rainy or bad weather? The Glass Pavilion is a very cool spot right across the street.

Staff were amazing, kind, overall incredibly helpful and all in very good spirits. They appeared to be educated behind the museum and Truly happy to be there. It was Massive. If I had the time I would spend the weekend exploring and educating myself. Adored the Egyptian and Greek exhibits. 🖤🖤🪬

I had done no research on this museum prior to coming here and didn't have very high expectations. I'm glad to say that this place actually wow'd me and is one of the best art museums I've ever been too. This place is huge and you could literally spend all day here looking at everything. As a frequent museum-goer, this is a hidden gem amongst the Mid-West for some of the best contemporary art in the country. The museum is larger than I anticipated. Husband and I like to read the summary cards on paintings we like or feel have more context. After 3.5 hours we managed to cover the left half of the upper floor. Judging from the little map I received that's probably half of the indoor area. We will return when the weather is warm to view the other half and the outdoor area. Cost was $8 for parking, no admission. Social distancing was fairly easy since the rooms are... well roomy. Favorite thing so far is the room full of pillars. I also immensely liked seeing several depictions of Jesus with an adult face.
