I had stayed at many Mom & Pop motel where the owner had taken pride in the property. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. When I saw the exterior of the property - I thought the taxi driver has the wrong address. The moment I open my door to my room I was welcomed with a cool burst of an air-conditioned room and it smells very clean and fresh. From there on is all downhill- the kitchenette has NO microwave oven, or sink. Just a broken room safe sit on top of the counter for the world to see. Plus a mini refrigerator. The bathroom is a nightmare itself from poor maintenance issues; sink faucet and shower are corroded - water shots everywhere but down. The bathtub drains very slow and the shower goes from cold to hot when you shower on their own. The ceramic tile flooring throughout the room and also the bathroom are nice and chipped and cracked. Popcorn ceiling was the rave of its time back in the 70s.- but now full of dust from years has gone by. You can see this property used to be nice at once upon a time. Now it's dated and neglected. It's one step to be classified as a Roach Motel.

This area was affected by the hurricane, as you come thru the channel you can't help but notice the 3 or 4 hotels that were damaged and closed. They are starting to bring Sunrise back to life. When they get everything back to ship shape - it will be nice. At this time, they do not have a restaurant or bar. It is an older hotel but very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have bikes that you can ride to the nearest grocery store & bar. We had a boat slip and a room. The dock had water, electric, and wifi. This is a fisherman's hotel!

Make this place your home away from home. Best service and a great location for a big family or friends getaway! We will be back soon, thanks for the awesome hospitality!

trash; the worker who I contacted was very rude , the rooms were not cleaned properly even though they told us we couldn't come into the room early because housekeeping had just came in at 12 and the only good thing was the view. Would not recommend this to anyone at all.

Was nothing like posted on the internet. The pictures must have been before the storm they had in October. The rooms had no microwave, the beds are hard and the AC made loud noises. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

A horrible experience The hotel is far from the center and the area is very dangerous. From what you see in photos, there is nothing. Faced with a problem we had within the "resort" they did not help us in the least and they ignored the situation. I would not recommend it to anyone

This is a place where they treat you like family... Entire resort is spotless clean and well maintained. Staff is very professional yet very accommodating and welcoming.

Very helpful staff. Accommodated our large group and provided us with free use of large poolside banquet room.

Clean, safe, great value and very friendly staff. Perfect for a quick fishing getaway. Boat docked right outside room and yellow fin tuna on ledge right off shore from harbor. Harbor is well protected from elements and has Knowles marine if you need fuel or help with anything. I cleared customs at west end but Sunrise is a port of entry if you want to head straight here. I'm on WiFi now in room and it's very fast. Have made multiple VoIP calls back to states with no lag on either side. Will be back. Google maps has the wrong location for sunrise on map but may be corrected soon. Its the old Running Mon Marina if you can find that in GPS. Also, no food on site but they call a cab to take you wherever you want. Lucaya is $16 taxi away but Sunrise Marina and some local restaurants are much better.

Unorganized do not book of airbnb.......they messed up our reservation. Nice people but aware how airbnb works. Undercharged and did not get our money.
