We stopped at the restaurant of this hotel for breakfast, so my review applies only to the restaurant. They have a very extensive menu, of local and western style dishes. I ordered the continental breakfast, which included fried eggs, sausage, baked beans, toast and fried potatoes. The plate was abundant and everything was good. The eggs were fried hard, and that’s the only way they made them. The service was also good, and they made a strong cappuccino. The restaurant itself is a bit run down, but it’s a very good place to eat.

I was very confused by the reviews once I checked in to this hotel as the rooms, service, cleanliness and amenities were no way near what the pictures and reviews showed!! It seems that management have a very low expectations of what the room should look like. The hotel reception was dark and dingy. Once we went up to our floor, the hallways were the same. Upon entering the room, it was very disappointing as they had a passing resemblance to the pictures. The rooms were spacious however, the air conditioning was less than sufficient. The only way to cool down was to stand in front of the stand alone unit. The vent pipe was also torn so the air vented warm air straight back into the room. Despite asking staff to resolve this, it wasn’t until there was change in staff. Some masking tape was finally put on the pipe which came off as the pipe was covered in dust. We did what we could by placing a towel on the torn part of the pipe. There was also no room light switch (!). The only way to turn the light off was to take the room key card out. The bathroom was really small and badly wired, wall plaster slapped on and left and painted with no care at all. There was a small fridge but unplugged and needed a power adapter to turn it on. The windows were dusty, not cleaned for days. Some of the windows were cracked. The room rate came with breakfast. Unfortunately, being vegetarian, we had to make do with bread, butter and jam. In my experience, we were not happy and would not stay here again. If you have very low expectations, happy to pay over $68 USD (reduced from $99!!) for a hot, dusty, badly maintained hotel, you’ll be fine.

First impressions are good but I have not stayed overnight. I passed by on Sunday afternoon and was served immediately. The waitress explained things well, gave me prices and showed me the table I wanted with a power socket. I ordered a family size slab of cake! Moist, plenty of chocolate,10k ugx and quick service. Friends recommend the lunch and evening buffet as one of the best in town. The hotel is in central location. Igar Plaza Hotel is a good place to stay in I was attended to in a very pleasant way. The suites are clean, well organised with a clear view of the city

Right in the heart of town, you'll find this hotel. They have delicious food and an assortment of a menu. Their house breakfast is particularly appealing and you wouldn't want to miss that.

The hotel is in the heart of Jinja city. Great food, friendly service help. And also affordable.

Located in the centre of Jinja Town, Igar Plaza is easy to access. A great place to meet up a friend and have a coffee.

The service at Igar Cafe is one of the slowest I've seen of all time. No one even bothers to come to you unless you call them! Like how does that serve the purpose of service? The food was a 5/10 because the chips were not well done and the tomato sauce tasted stale. They really could improve in a lot of areas! I'll give them a plus for ambiance.

Wonderful food served including African barbeques especially Ugandan served hot with very generous and friendly services and clean washrooms.

We didn't stay, we just bought take away for a road trip, the food was amazing. All the variety we got from the buffet were tasty, my favourite was the chocolate balls and the matoke and peanut sauce. Super yummy. Definitely coming back.

The team is so welcoming, the manager was so exemplary, we had to cut a cake for iur friend, but he joined us with some of the attendants to share the joy

Only went for a coffee. Service is okay, latte was good as was the muffin. Location on Maine Street is not ideal but hey one can't have everything.

Good service by the waiters/resses. Good internet service,good security. Though it would be good to have Tv Screens for news updates.

Passed by to grab a snack on our way but the service took forever. We eventually decided to do take away but the sausages just tasted weird. I wonder whether it was the oil used or the sausages that were going bad.

It is true it is safe and secure but the customer service is terrible. As a long term tenant I would expect some good customer care but it has not happened. They do not make changes on your schedule but on their schedule and it never gets done when they tell you it will be done.

The location is thr best straight in town and near all amenities and important places

It has week internet and the time given to castomas ,they don't even enjoy what they want to do with internet ,as people now days don't enjoy place with no internet, it has good rooms but internet and given time .
