Upscale restaurant offering a unique flavourful menu and will not disappoint. Being a solo diner i always feel unwelcome despite being a paying customer but here they offer a unique experience with cosy ambience and a welcoming environment. I had the mussels and it was one of the best i ever had, it was fresh and soft. Cannot give 5 stars due to the server who asked me twice if i am finished with my mains, it was annoying since i was enjoying the food and resting a while. I cannot devour the mains in a matter of minutes…

Absolute gem of a restaurant. I want 10 years ago and it was beautiful. Went again on the 3rd August to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Based in the UAE, we flew here to try again and it did not disappoint. Thank you.

As a vegan visiting Limerick, there are not a ton of restaurants with great options to choose from. Freddy’s provided enough options in a sophisticated, upscale atmosphere that was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a special occasion. I’d highly recommend going to Freddy’s when you’re in Limerick and can’t wait to go back next time we’re there.

Fantastic restaurant, fair price, friendly and serviceminded staff. I have visited freddys a few times and the food have always been top quality and tasty, they are very close to 5 stars.. The restaurant itself is rather small but nice and cosy athmosphere. I highly recommend a visit to freddy’s..

Just spent one night in Limerick, got a reservation for 16:30, booked out for the rest of the evening (always a good sign). Staff were very friendly and accommodating, food was lovely, I had the lamb shank which was excellent.

My husband and I were visiting from United States. We had a great experience at Freddy’s. They were very accommodating to changing our reservation time when we were running behind. The dining room had a cozy feel to it. The food was excellent. We had the steak and chicken with potatoes and both were delicious. The only thing we were not thrilled about was the crab appetizer, it tasted more like tuna fish mixed with mayonnaise. However, we are used to getting very fresh local crab from where we live. For dessert we had the nutty Irishman martini and WOW it was delicious!! We would definitely recommend others to visit Freddy’s for the food, drink, ambience, and friendly staff.

Nice restaurant in an old coach house. With high TripAdvisor ratings, they only provide set menus for two or three courses. For is plentiful, service is generally OK. And wine selection is also ok. There was no opening bread or nibbles to get starting prior to eating. They don't have too many other types of drinks, which makes it hard for the individuals who don't drink wine. However, if you have dietary requirements, it is good to call in advance so that they can make the right food for you. Overall, some room for improvement for already good place.

Nothing special or different, only a few dishes. The service is not professional, they are running all the time and it is not comfortable to eat around them, not respect for the process of the wine. The main courses over 20e, I dont recommend the vegan pastry and the cheek needs more sauce or better cooked. Desserts, I recommend the dome, very nice if you like the peanut. The vegan brownie is too dried.

Freddy's has some of the nicest food in Limerick. A wide choice of dishes and a vegetarian/vegan friendly menu. We loved our mains of Pan-Fried Hake with Risotto and Beef Cheek. Service was friendly and efficient. It's very busy so you need to book to be sure of a table.

The Spicy Korean chicken wings is a must have, I so loved it ❤️. For the prawn pill pill I think it’s too oily. The sea bass was really mouth watering 🤤🤤

Freddy's is without a doubt, the best restaurant in Limerick. The food is out of this world, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is cosy and romantic. We chose to come here for a very special occasion recently as we knew there was no better place to go for a celebration and it just made our day! We rolled home afterwards and can't wait to come back again!!

My husband and I were looking forward to dining at Freddy’s. The staff were great - professional, accommodating and very pleasant. We also liked the atmosphere. However the reason for the 3 stars is the food. We had the Tian of crab and duck salad to start, the honey glazed pork belly as our mains and the cheese board to end. Aside from the inclusion of the Fivemiletown goats cheese which was a master stroke, the rest of the food was decidedly bland. Not bad by any stretch but average. The individual components of the Tian or Crab didn’t pop at all and so nothing (including the crab) didn’t taste of anything. The pork belly missed the punch of honey and whist didn’t need additional salt, we had to add some just to be able to taste something. Sadly, it felt like the chef has given up innovating, isn’t sourcing ingredients well or is trying to appeal to a too broader audience. We’d love to try this restaurant again in a year to see if things have improved. Prices weren’t too bad but too high for just average.

Friendly staff and good service. There was nothing noteworthy from the food and drink, I think I had expectations of a more fine dining experience.

Disappointing to find a stone in my risotto on my first visit. Told the waitress who informed senior management. My complaint was ignored. Wasn't looking for much, but some acknowledgement would have been expected. Left with a pain in my tooth. Poor customer experience.

I’ve visited Freddy’s multiple times over the years and based on my opinion, this is the best restaurant for both food and atmosphere in Limerick. Perfect for couple, families, celebrations or small get togethers. As a vegetarian, Freddy’s serves my favourite food in Limerick and I eat dishes here that I wouldn’t typically eat elsewhere because of the quality and taste. The waitresses and manageress were also very helpful when I had questions about the food and giving me pointers.

Exceptionally good food. I had the pork tacos for a start. Everyone at my tables food looked delicious. I had the fillet steak, it was the best steak I have ever eaten. Just a superb dish. We only booked four and a fifth turned up late and the staff were very accommodating.

Wow, this place is so great. Their Christmas menu was wonderful. I got the duck parfait appetizer, oven baked nut roast, and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Their food quality is spectacular. Will definitely come here again when I'm in Limerick again.

Favourite restaurant in Limerick. Went with the Mussels and Steak. Our table was a few minutes delayed initially and we were treated to 2 free glasses of Prosecco. At the end of service we were also given another free drink. Considering we were kept waiting no more than 2 minutes for our table we felt there was no need to even acknowledge the delay. However the staff and owner were apologetic and made our dining experience enjoyable. 5 out of 5.

Lovely atmosphere and environment. Waited an hour for a main course, which turned out to be bland, unseasoned risotto. Portion sizes are good but still pricey for what you get. Staff are just ok.

Freddy's is by far my favourite restaurant for dinner in Limerick city. The menu is perfect, a good selection of starters, mains and desserts but not too many. The quality is always excellent and the atmosphere is intimate and inviting with someone always greeting you at the door with a smile. Went there last week for a family catch up and can't wait to go back! Thanks guys! ☺️

Very nice in-restaurant experience. Lovely waitress and decent food. Reserving online was a bit strangely militant. A lot of caps lock warnings about this and that. Soured the initial mood

Found the food and service disappointing considering it is meant to be one of the best restaurants in Limerick. I got the steak which was dry and slightly under seasoned. Felt very rushed while eating as the server asked several times if we were finished while we were still eating. Their last seating is at 9 and the chef finishes at 10:30 so you are rushed to finish the courses and order before then, we got three courses.

We went to Freddy's restaurant for a family 👪 birthday. There was nine of us. They made a big deal of the birthday girl. The staff were extremely friendly. The food was delicious. The nine of us had empty plates. A great experience all round highly recommended.

We had a family dinner at Freddy's, it was my child's communion day, so important to us. The service exceeded expectations. Liz was amazing, making us feel special that day. The food was delicious and even specially prepared for our kids! ! ! I can't recommend it highly enough. I will definitely come back again.
