It was the most excellent food I have ever had in Ireland. Very friendly restaurant staff and cozy atmosphere. Delicious dishes, I highly recommend 7 hour lamb, tender lamb in excellent sauce. Excellent rosé wine. Special thanks to the chef on.

By far the number one restaurant here in Limerick, delicious food, fantastic wine and out of this world deserts. The atmosphere here is low key, magical and relaxing. I've been here a few times, and absolutely adored it. If you want to tempt your palate, The French Table is The Place to visit in Limerick, and even in Ireland.

This restaurant is a precious jewel. The staff are great, attentive but not intrusive. Just as you are about to need something they appear magically and then shrink back into the background. The food is marvellous. This can also be expected as the menu is just right. Small variety of starters, main courses and desserts. If you are expecting a larger choice you are in the wrong place. This menu is just the right size with enough variety to allow the kitchen to show their culinary talents and expertise, where flavours blossom in your mouth. A place where you could believe they deserve a Michelin star, but where the owners prefer simplicity instead of pomp. Thank you for staying true to yourselves.

An excellent restaurant with very good food. Although the food is well made and we had a great night, the food might not be to everyone's taste. The portion sizes are a little bit on the small side I would recommend the side dishes which do serve two quite adequately. The atmosphere is quite and darker than the average bright light restaurant which is a nice change of pace and it does have a more adult feel. Id say be aware of French eating custom. You will have bread on the table when you arrive and generally be asked if you want some wine or another drink. Then, generally it will take some time to be served so you can relax drink, chat and eat the bread. The portion size will be small but the food will be good and the sides do serve two but I would recommend getting two sides anyway. In my experience none of this will be rushed so if your looking to get in and out of a restaurant or have kids that easily get bored OR are picky eaters this is not the spot for you. Best bet is an adult group who want to have a nice meal in a relatively quite restaurant and then go to a bar after.

This restaurant is a little gem both for food and atmosphere first of we we're running late so we had to push our Reservation forward by 1 hour and thay we're very accommodating when we sat down the Waitress brought us lovely bread and crisps. Thay have a lovely wine selection and the food was fantastic the service was second to none and we felt very welcome not rushed at all

This restaurant was a wonderful find in Limerick. Classic French dishes prepared beautifully using local great ingredients. The sauces were perfect, distinct and light enough to let the ingredients shine through beautifully. Service was attentive enough to be nice. Room is gorgeous with a volume level that is buzzy without being too loud. I will definitely be back anytime I am in Limerick.

Service was attentive and friendly. For starters we had the french onion soup - it was excellent. We also had the pie - it was also very tasty. For main, I had the slow cooked lamb. It was wholesome, but maybe lacked great flavour. The veg was very fresh and tasty. The potato Gratin was disappointing. We also had the vegetarian dish, and was very good. For desert, we went for the creme brulee, and the bread and butter pudding - both of which were excellently done. We found the meal to be good value. The restaurant lacks a decent atmosphere. Would return again though.

Our first visit here was okay, good food but bad service. The staff were not kind to us. We asked to move our table to a free spot (instead of sitting in the middle of the room) at a window, which we were refused as it was “already reserved”. However, when an older couple were being seated next to us they also asked for this other table and the waiter wanted to sit them there but our server stopped him as we had just been refused the seats. Ageism and unfriendliness in general. My sister had a similar experience, having reserved a table with a note saying they wanted a window seat, the server tried to sit them elsewhere regardless. Ageism again. Our second visit here was simply bad. We have never experienced such incompetent and slow service. We waited 30 minutes before ordering, to make our order I had to grab the attention of the waiter myself. There was no cutlery on the table, I had to ask twice for it before I got a knife and fork. I also had to ask separately for spoons for the soup. The main course was not good, the meat in the stew was chewy. The dessert “La diplomate” was delicious, the starter of onion soup was good, but it is not worth the pain of dealing with the awful service.

One of the best restaurants I have ever visited!!!! Food is top class!!!! The atmosphere and service is extremely great and pleasant!!! Will definitely come back and recommend!!! If you want to taste great food, definitely The French table Restaurant is the best choice!

I went here for a date night, requested a romantic table and got a perfect corner table with views of the city lights along the river. My partner and I shared two starters, a main and two desserts. The food was beautiful, the service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was relaxed, private and very romantic. The prices are high, yet appropriate for the quality of food and service. I would highly recommend going here for a special treat.

Great spot in a great location in Limerick city. Very elegant but not overwhelming. Amazing french food - great quality and price. Portions are perfect - you can easily go for 3 course meal which i recommend. Don't miss dessert as they are top class there. Service was excepcional too. I highly recommend it. It was my second and not last time visiting The French Table.

Had a phenomenal candle lit dinner. My wife had the steak and it was like butter, truly delicious. My onion soup was pretty great, and the old fashioned way made to perfection smooth with a hint of citrus. Last, we each had a crem Brule and truly wonderful. Glad I got to make it here before leaving the city.

What a perfect choice of restaurant to celebrate a conferring! Always knew we had chosen wisely and the almost four hours we spent there yesterday over lunch was an absolute delight in every respect. Really great service from the wonderful waiter Roman to the chat with the patron Thomas before we got stuck in and Deirdre always her attentive self. Delicious, no, superb food, great wine, lovely atmosphere and an occasion to celebrate. We'll be back with the B-Team for round 2!

You love a restaurant where the food is super tasty and staff is too friendly, if you're looking for both and you're staying in Limerick then I must say you should check this out😉 I won't say much just go and try yourself...

Came here for my fathers birthday dinner. Food was amazing! Great presentation and cooked to perfection. All for a very reasonable price! Staff were extremely polite and friendly. The desert tray was also a really good feature. They also had a great selection of wine. Lastly, their escargots were some of the best my dad has ever had! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone! I can easily say we will be going back here again.

Most of the food was nice, but not mind blowing. The service was ok, the waitress seemed like she really didn't want to be there. It was very quiet when we went in but they seated everyone in the same corner which was annoying. The steak was incredible and the deserts are just Beautiful. The early bird menu doesn't include coffee with your desert! Specify tap water if you don't want any hidden charges

Had the onion soup, duck, rabbit, bread pudding and creme brulee. Fantastic food all around. 15/10 Waiters were great.

Very enjoyable experience, food top class, service attentive and atmosphere lovely. Only slight quibble was that the temperature was a little cool for one of our party but overall, an excellent place to eat in Limerick. One other issue there is parking, it would help if some of the spaces outside were clearly marked for the restaurant customers.

Nice restaurant, we went there for lunch one day and it was surprisingly quiet. Food and service were good, - sufficient time allowed between courses (à la mode de France). Prices were up from last time - no surprise there. Recommended

Excellent experience. Second time there last Thursday. Food excellent, staff and atmosphere excellent. Overall, the real value comes from the overall experience not just one element. The food, wine are superb. Looking forward to going back soon.

I met Trish on The French Table Stand at The Castletroy Shopping Centre...She was amazing and went beyond the call of duty when dealing with my requests...I went back 3 times as each purchase was a gift...All the recipients were thrilled with the pastries..I will be back..Breda.

Just a great restaurant for a special occasion! Had Snails, Venison and some Glace Caramel for dessert! Service is outstanding too with a fantastic wine selection!

I am from the US and found most of the food in Limerick and the surrounding area to be bland and unpalatable. The French Table was a welcome change from the typical Irish food and plates were flavorful with good presentation. Don’t miss out on dessert!

Excellent food. Had a staff party for 12 people and the service was great, was not as expensive as we thought given the quality of the menu. Would highly recommend. (be careful of the clamping further down the street!)

My friends and I enjoyed a beautiful leisurely Sunday lunch at the French Table. The food was delectable, particularly the Duck and the Mixed Fish dish. The service was excellent, professional and friendly. All round a most enjoyable experience. We will be back.
