I just had the worst experience. I have been to Specsavers Kilkenny for a number of years and I always had a pleasant experience. Not this time I didn’t. The attitude of the eye consultant was atrocious. While I understood that it is really important to blink being “yeld” continuously blink blink blink blink blink and then being told the letters by the consultant when I was clearly stating that I couldn’t see them made me feel that I have just waisted my time and money.I am not the one to write a review but it left me angry and disappointed. While I understand that I was probably doing it wrong but there are multiple ways of explaining it without an attitude. In a nice polite kind way I was explained on previous visits. And to wrap it up I was sent to choose some lenses and the only nice person in there Luke was busy with someone else and I was passed to two other staff that weren’t bothered whatsoever to explain a thing! I understand that the works being done loudly during working hours would have an effect on the staff but certainly not at this extent!

Great friendly helpful staff dealt with me this evening for and during my eye test late this eve. Covid aware from start to finish. Well done all . Will be back shortly to select frames from the ones they helped me to pick out. Got sorted out frames etc all done . Well done Ken and Colin for all the help and 2 female colleagues also. Unreal the new shop double the size now but with the same top class care.

Had a problem with my Prescription, Called to Specsavers in Kilkenny and met with Jessica Carroll. Jessica went through every detail of my Glasses with me and was very attentive professional and informative. A week later new lenses and Jessica had everything sorted. Delighted with the new Glasses.

Went in to price new lenses for my frames cost was €480.which I thought was a rip off. And yet if I got new frames n lenzes for same money I would get new sun glasses for free. So what a rip off there is nothing for free a con job.. I have been going to Specs avers now for 20 years but Greed seems to b flourishing here now too. Very dissapointed I left the shop still with my scratched lenzes. Martin. Q.

Excellent service, very attentive without being rushed. My wife is a wheelchair user and they couldn't of been more accommodating, something we don't usually find elsewhere. Don't push you to the expensive options either and actually listen to what you want.

Brilliant service today in Specsavers Kilkenny. Lovely lady sorted me with replacement of new frames as my handle had broken feom my own. Thanks so much for your help

Great morning side conversation to start the day and very professional and accommodating throughout. I would say to be more genuine in your professional speak during assessment explanation would feel more relaxing and normal, but a beautiful job done nonetheless.

Service has got brutal. Waited over a month for contact lens being told lies about delays from suppliers when in fact Aideen & Lisa havn't a notion what they are doing and ordered my old prescription & thus I had to wait longer for new ones to come in. Not at all accomodating around working hours being told 5.10pm was the latest app that I could get. This isn't to mention previous issues I've had with Specsavers. Have been with Specsavers for 14 years. Taken my business elsewhere now & would not recommend anymore.

My dad went in complaining of a 4 day migraine and pain behind his eyes. He had previously seen his Doctor who told him it was just a migraine. Thanks to a fantastic optician in Specsavers, he was immediately referred to the hospital for a check and an MRI the next day. Turns out he had a very serious stroke! Now he is in the hospital getting the help he needs. I don't think I could ever thank Specsavers in Kilkenny enough for this. They saved his life. Our entire family are so grateful.

first time i had been to an opticians for many years ;i needed to go due to a change in driving licence .If this taught me anything it was how not to treat a customer.For a company of this size to try a humilate a bloke who had not been to an opticians since 1979 .It started of great a decent bloke on reception taking details ;saw 2 other staff who were very helpful ;then it came to the last person who clearly needs a lesson in HR .Put it bluntly paid the €30 and left and got my eye test dome elsewhere with no drama.
