This is the best Chinese food around. Mr K creates elevated dishes that leaves you excited for your next visit. If you're a vegetarian or vegan , mr K has pages of excellent options.

If you want authentic, made from scratch Chinese food, this is your place. Be patient because the food is made when ordered but is worth the wait. The soup dumplings, country cucumbers, stir fry green beans, walnut shrimp, and hot pepper shrimp are incredible. We like to order several different dishes and eat family style. Most dishes are large and are perfect for sharing.

Update in response to business: My reviews are for potential guest who want a preview of what they MAY experience because of what I experienced. 1. I know a can drink doesn't get a refill.. duh 2. My "things to note" are things to note because I've been all over the WORLD & never been asked about fried rice with or without the soy sauce so I noted it 3. Like I said 2 expensive... 70+ 3 entree, 3 drinks and 2 apps.. expensive is subjective people can make their own decisions 4. This was the only food we both ate all day and we were fighting for the bathroom when we entered the house... then ate it again because I paid so much, he threw his away and I still had to go to the bathroom. Food was good though. Kinda just warning you like when you eat at Taco Bell! :) First time going here. They need a person at the door or a stand with a bell because the entrance is big when you walk in.. but our waitress was nice and informative. They have a lot of things on the menu. The food was delicious. Would recommend the pan fried dumplings. The portion size was huge, lasted for dinner and lunch the next day. Things to note: If you ask you for fried rice they ask you if you want soy sauce in it (this threw me off, because I've never been asked that for fried rice, no soy sauce means your rice will be white not brown and obviously have no soy sauce flavor) Food was (way too) expensive 70+ for rice, dumplings, drinks and another entree Refills are not free No military discount Stomach was messed up afterwards

10 out of 10!!!⭐️ My Mom and I have been looking for a new Chinese food restaurant to go to and we have found it!!! Yesterday we decided to check out Mr. K's restaurant and EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!! Our waitress Torrie was awesome! She has an amazing personality super friendly. When my Mom and I asked about food choices or ingredients she knew her stuff. We got the magnolian beef, shrimp fried rice, spring rolls, shrimp lo mein and coconut shrimp with white rice. EVERYTHING was delicious!! I definitely recommend trying this restaurant out! It's a hidden gem 💎. 😊

The food was delicious! Service was fantastic, and the chef came to say hello. I recommend you try this place at least once. We will definitely come back again!

Mr K's is a quiet place with a very exciting menu! I'm so thankful for the menu updates since the restaurant's original opening. It brings actual Chinese flavor and spices in a place that is nearby to home without having to drive all the way out to the Cary/Triangle-Area for good meal. We went in to order mostly a bunch of appetizers to test it out and braised pork belly. The soup dumplings are some of the best I've had in NC, and you can tell they're handmade! The scallion pancake spicy beef wraps were a fun flavor combo, the braised pork pan-fried bao ("Chinese hambuger") was an isntant favorite, and the crab rangoon tasted like an upgraded Shanghai-sweetness fusion of an American classic appetizer! (So addicting!) We will be returning and will definitely be ordering more off the main menu now that we have gotten an idea of Mr K's Authentic Chinese Restaurant's use of spices. If you enjoy authentic Asian cuisine, Mr K's is bringing the Shanghai and Sichuan flavors more accessible to those outside the bigger cities!

We came on a bad night, they were short staff, however the waitress was wonderful. She immediately told us and others that there would be a wait and apologized. We were okay with the wait, and when we received our food, it was well worth it. We started with the soup dumplings, which had a good amount of filling and tender. I had the braised pork belly with white rice. The pork was tender and flavorful, swimming in a tasty brown sauce. My companion had the Mongolian lamb, with lamb so tender and the onions crunchy. This was our first visit, and we will return to try more dishes. I apologize for not getting our waitresses' names as she was so very busy. She was super and genuinely made the experience great.

Everything was great! The food was fresh and hot. And the hostess was really friendly and offered suggestions. I HIGHLY recommend the chicken with garlic sauce it was so good I forgot to take a picture.

Went to Mr. K’s today because the amazing reviews. And we will be returning. We got the soup dumplings. Best soup dumplings we’ve ever had. we also had the Crab Rangoon. not pictured. while they were delicious, we wouldn’t have them again. The inside mixture was too sweet for our liking. but the outside was perfectly crunchy. But like I said, while delicious it just wasn’t to our liking. We got two dishes to share and had plenty left over to bring home. We did the Mongolian Lamb and the Peking Shredded Pork. The Shredded Pork was fantastic and it comes with the Bao buns. And it was to die for. We also ate it with rice. The Mongolian Lamb was also delicious, and the onions it came with were a perfect compliment to the taste. We are very happy we live a bit away and our schedule does not allow us to just drive by cause we would be there every day trying something new. Now, our server said they were out of a few drinks. I don’t know what they were out of, since we just told her we were having water. So if you have soft drinks with your meal, and it’s a big deal, then double check before going.

The soup dumplings are the best thing on the menu. Tori was a great server. Friendly, approachable, attentive and polite. Food was a solid 4. While the dumplings was 5/5. The fried food had a bit to much grease on it, but the flavors were all there. Menu is very diverse, easy to read, and well organized. The soup dumplings were amazing! The food was also very delicious and did not leave me with the feeling that most Chinese food does. Staff was very friendly and our food came out in a decent time! I highly recommend coming here 😊
