Lovely dinner with a group of friends. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the place well decorated showcasing Khmer culture and art. It did get quite hot and stuffy and we asked staff to turn on the fan to give it a bit more flow of air. Our food were great, stunning plating and tasted great too. Definitely a great place to try out khmer cooking.

I would have given five stars since the taste of the food is really great (especially Prahok) as well as the presentation, creativity and the traditional yet modern ambience. However, the beef was really hard and chewy, and there are a lot of small bones in the frog filling making it very difficult to eat. I tried to complain to the waitress on site but the waitress just replied me that she does not speak English and ignored the complaints. The waitress was also not very attentive to come check how our food was and if we would like to order more drinks or dessert. Given the high price tag, I have a higher expectation than this, hope you can continue to improve to live up to your full potential. Hope to visit you again and try more dishes.

Great place to try Khmer food! There are many choices of food that reflect Khmer cuisine pretty well. The view was also pretty nice from the balcony. TIPS: go to rooftop to have a better view! We went there a bit late so there were no more white rice left… which is ridiculous for any Khmer people like me😅 Prices are a bit high but food were good so worth it.

An authentic local food. Love the environment in the restaurant despite the stairs climb. You can view the magnificent old rail station from the outer side of the restaurant.

I think the dishes was alright but not exactly WOW. First time we tried the Chicken with Banana Flower salad and the dressing is pretty nice but overall on the sweet side. Services is pretty good and our server is polite with nice smiley face. But can't believe that they ran out of draft beer!

Location was interesting and inconspicuous. The restaurant was quaint and modern. Food was traditional Cambodian fare which was good. The chicken tasted better with the condiments.

We came here for dinner based a recommendation from a friend. Very nice interior that is put together beautifully. Good food. And good selection of Cambodia cuisine.

Authentic Cambodian food in the heart of Phnom Penh. Located on the second floor of a building right in front of Canadia Tower, this restaurant’s interior was designed to mimic a traditional Khmer wooden cabin, exuding a very cozy and homey atmosphere. You also get a nice unobstructed view of Vatanac Capital. We ordered Amok, Cambodia’s National dish, and it is probably one of the best I’ve ever had in the country. The flavor was very rich, the fish was perfectly cooked and did not have any bones like some other places. When asked what dish is good, they recommended getting the bamboo roasted chicken so we ordered that as well. It took quite a long time to be cooked, not sure whether it is the procedure or just them forgetting our order. Regardless, the taste was great, the chicken was juicy and tender. The egg dish was a bit strange in my opinion, because I expected the sauce to be spicy, but it was too sweet for my likings. Lastly, we got khmer iced condensed milk coffee, it tasted great but there were not much quantity for the price. On that note, this restaurant is on the pricier side, not very reflective of the average Cambodian salary. The taste is great but the portions were a bit too small and the service was also a bit questionable, staff did not look welcoming at all. The sign at the entrance was quite small and hard to notice. I was debating whether to give this place a 3 or 4 stars, but decided on 3 so that there will be future improvement.

Nice food but awful service! I love the location of this restaurant even though it might be a bit difficult to find for visitors. The food is delicious, so I kept recommending it to my friends and acquaintances. I have been here three times. I enjoyed two times here even though I encountered an unpleasant vibe from the restaurant’s waitress in the first time. I could have not just returned for the second time but the food is so good, so I gave them a try again. And the experience was nice. For the third time, it was just awful. They forgot two out of three orders and the minutes that my partners was just finishing his meal, they came and asked whether if I ordered what I told them (really?). At the end, I was charged for thing that I didn’t order. I understand that the restaurant was full at that time but the staffs need to be better trained. Have it a try by yourself because the food is nice and hopefully, they train their staff properly!

We went to there during weekday, the food was ok, and not too crowded, if you folks really into local food I would say might be better somewhere else.

Nicely presented food, but it lacks in the flavour department. A small restaurant up 3 or 4 flights of stairs. The front of house staff are friendly and look after you well. Prices are good for what you get - our meal for two was $40. But overall it lacked seasoning.

So glad that Labaab is available at The Mekong at the Courtyard Marriott this January. Classic tastes I crave as a Cambodian but served in an open and spacious setting.

The perfect Khmer Cousins focusing on the taste of the Mekong River. All the Khmer dishes taste very nice here. I do like the Fish Amok, Pork Rib, Fried Crab with Pepper and Fried Rice Seafood. Talking about the location, it’s perfectly stood In front of Canadia Tower and Vattanac Tower. The view is ver impressive.

The stairs going up to the restaurant on 2nd floor is a bit dirty but the restaurant itself is clean with nice ambience. Nice varieties of regional food: Khmer, Thai and Vietnamese. A good place to try Indochina food.

A hard to find by great little venue. From the decor to the food options both meat eaters and Vegas vegetarians alike will be please they came here for dinner! Google maps wasn't that helpful finding the way so note it's up on the 3rd floor with some funky lights! Fairly near the new Rosewood Hotel and shopping mall!

What an exceptional culinary experience! Hands down the best Khmer food we've had in Phnom Penh! Warmly recommended: La'Baab, Cuisine from the Heart of the Mekong! Located on the 3rd floor above Pharmacie de la Gare, near the railway station, Labaab has it all: delicious local food, exceptionally prepared and presented, very welcoming & kind service, a beautiful traditional Khmer interior and lovely jazzy music. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 31 years anniversary!

This Khmer cuisine restaurant has been a favorite of mine for over five years, and today I had the pleasure of bringing along some guests. The food was, as always, delicious. Some dishes could have been a bit less saltier for my taste. When I asked the staff for salt, they brought a mixture of salt and pepper. It might have been challenging due to the high number of customers, but there were a couple of instances where I had to get up and get their attention as the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Nevertheless, it remains one of my preferred Khmer cuisine restaurants, and I'll be coming back.

An small authentic Khmer restaurant in city center. Just right next to the train station and Rosewood hotel. The building is very old but the owner decorated indoor area with a cozy traditional atmosphere. All dishes we ordered were delicious. The only thing I would complain is the male toilet is missing its lid.

Great combination of Khmer and VN foods. As it’s name suggested, land along the Mekong river. Don’t forget to try Amok and deep fried fish!

Good food with a nice ambiance. You have to take the stairs up to the 3rd floor or so (no elevator). We ordered Cambodian fried fish with mango salsa, grilled catfish with mango salsa, and stir-fried mushroom and garlic (which came with beef). We enjoyed all of the dishes, especially the fish dishes, but they could have had more seasoning. We asked for soy sauce, garlic, and chili on the side to add to the dishes. Both fish dishes were crispy. The mango salsa was also really good! The total came out to ~$30.

Entrance is on the big road, RN1. Look for the small sign, it is close to the small Samsung store. Taste was okay but prices are very high and portion size is quite small, I would not recommend this place.

Good Khmer food and ambience. I like the interior of the place, very traditional. It is on the pricier side though considering what you’re getting. I would recommend the amok and stir fried eggplant & tofu.

The restaurant I did not expect and it also answered my question. From the outside of the building, which everyone thinks may be an abandoned building, there is a delicious Khmer restaurant. Designed in Khmer style, the right hand sees the Canadia building and the left hand sees the Vattana building, delicious food. In addition, we can take beautiful photos as a souvenir. You should try it once to get a new and unique feeling.

Nearly could not find the restaurant because it just have a small sign. It's located inside an old apartment. You have to go up to come to the restaurant. The decoration of restaurant is beautiful. The food is so delicous with eye-catching arrangement.

Had a wonderful meal here, we were helpfully told the restaurant was a little hard to find but once we found the stairs it was all ok. Food was delicious with very generous portions in a lovely setting. Staff were very attentive.

This restaurant was great! We were visiting from the United States and wanted a good place to try local Khmer food. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We had Cambodian fish with mango salsa, Khmer BBQ ribs and pineapple rice. Our friends ate quail eggs, stir fried squash greens, and peppercorn steak. All delicious!

Very good address, quite hard to find the entrance though, but once there the decoration is amazing and so the food is. Lots of traditional Khmers dishes, with a very good service. No elevator so no access for wheel chair though.

The restaurant vibe is so authentically Cambodian and sort of jazz. It’s an old building left from The French Colony. Located on the second floor. The window view is so relaxing capture the most iconic spot of Phnom Penh cityscape. The foods there are really good I love everything on the menu. But the cons side for me is it is relatively expensive.

Labaab is <Southeast Asian food 101> Very easy, comfortable food without any aversion. Many variety of food to choose from, and staffs are welcoming with good English. The location is great, close to Vattanac Capital. Though there are no parking space, you can park infront of the pharmacy i guess. Not to mention, Labaab is great place if you want photo taken with Vattanac Capital. Sometimes they dont have some food on the menu, and I guess they only have some dessert prepared on a day. Very impressive place. Must go place in PP
