"Unprofessional
and
Heartbreaking
Experience
at
Hilltop
Veterinary
Centre,
The
Barn,
Hinksey
Heights,
Oxford,
OX1
5AB”
I
am
deeply
saddened
to
write
this
review
about
my
unfortunate
experience
at
Hilltop
Veterinary
Centre,
The
Barn,
Hinksey
Heights,
South
Hinksey,
Oxford,
OX1
5AB.
My
beloved
kitten
passed
away
a
few
months
ago
under
their
care,
and
I
am
utterly
disappointed
with
the
unprofessional
and
unsatisfactory
treatment
provided
by
the
staff.
From
the
very
beginning,
it
was
evident
that
the
veterinary
team
lacked
the
expertise
and
compassion
required
to
handle
my
kitten's
condition.
They
failed
to
accurately
diagnose
his
ailment,
leading
to
a
delay
in
proper
treatment.
Their
lack
of
attention
to
detail
and
thorough
examination
is
unacceptable,
especially
in
a
profession
where
lives
are
at
stake.
The
only
thing
it
seems
they
care
about
is
their
fees.
As
soon
as
your
insurance
limit
reaches,
they
stop
the
care
and
force
you
to
put
the
poor
pet
down.
To
add
insult
to
injury,
the
veterinary
centre's
insurance
limitations
hindered
the
level
of
care
my
kitten
deserved.
The
fact
that
their
ability
to
provide
adequate
treatment
was
dictated
by
insurance
coverage
is
not
only
disheartening,
but
also
raises
serious
questions
about
their
commitment
to
animal
welfare.
It
is
distressing
to
think
that
my
kitten's
untimely
death
could
have
been
prevented
if
the
veterinary
centre
had
prioritized
his
well-being
over
financial
considerations.
Moreover,
they
charge
us
a
hefty
amount
of
money
despite
the
fact
that
we
had
insurance
and
Vet
Centre
membership
as
well.
Throughout,
the
staff's
demeanour
throughout
this
ordeal
was
far
from
comforting.
They
displayed
a
lack
of
empathy
and
failed
to
provide
the
emotional
support
that
pet
owners
desperately
need
in
such
difficult
times.
Their
insensitive
and
dismissive
attitude
towards
my
concerns
only
exacerbated
my
grief.
I
strongly
urge
pet
owners
to
think
not
twice
but
thrice,
before
entrusting
their
beloved
companions
to
the
Hilltop
Veterinary
Centre,
Hinksey
Heights,
Oxford.
The
level
of
care
provided
was
far
below
the
standard
expected
in
the
veterinary
profession.
It
is
a
devastating
experience
to
lose
a
pet,
and
the
added
disappointment
from
the
veterinary
centre's
incompetence
has
made
the
grieving
process
even
more
challenging
for
all
of
us,
including
my
children.
It
is
my
hope
that
by
sharing
my
unfortunate
experience,
other
pet
owners
will
be
cautious
and
find
a
veterinary
centre
that
truly
prioritises
the
well-being
of
animals,
demonstrates
professionalism,
and
offers
genuine
care
and
support
during
difficult
times.
