How does a Vegan cuisine restaurant run successfully in Indonesia, where people virtually eat meat through out the day ?? It works wonders ! Wonders for us vegans !

For vegan lovers its a heaven..whatever the reason is..for our health or for doing our belief,being vegan is good for your health..we order lamb satay and chicken steak..food is good,service is good..in their wall,we can find all the athletes and celebrities whose vegan

One of few old vegetarian restaurant that still operate until nowadays. Located in central Surabaya area. We have been quiet regular customer for their satay. But most of the time were only take away. During covid, they did small renovation by painting their interior, and change the lightnings. Now it brighter and looked tidier. Simple and clean spacious dining area. We tried some of the Indonesian Vegie Foods and quiet surprise. It is good and tasty. Not over but right on. And as usual, we love its Satay (now called Fancy Nut Satay). And their sambal terasi is very yum. Pricewise quiet reasonable. Will I comeback ? For sure..

I ate here today for brunch with some other meat eaters and they were just as surprised as I was of how good the food is! Love it here! The service was spectacular. I ordered the cheerful burger and it tastes amazingggg. One thing I would like for it to change is the size of the patty - It was about 1cm off from the diameter of the bread bun. So whenever I try to take a bite, my teeth just kept pushing the patty off and I ended up eating most of the bun from each bite, instead of eating it in an equal manner. But no complaints on the taste as it was as amazing as it is. I also ordered the vegan egg which was spectacular - I saw that they sell the frozen version too which I was equally tempted to buy but I don't think I am allowed to bring frozen goods back to my country. The orange juice was INCREDIBLE, I dare to say. The juice is freshly squeezed and at a reasonable pricing as well! If I ever come back to Surabaya, I'd definitely stop here again

The perfect place for vegetarians. The food is healthy, vegan with big sufficient portions. The menu is expansive with plentiful options in mock meat made out of soya and very well priced. Surabaya being a non touristy destination, the staff doesn't speak much English which causes a little bit of communication problems. But it as a quiet place with great food. We ordered The asparagus soup - huge bowl serving up to 4 people, homely with authentic Chinese ingredients and fresh produce. Tom yum soup - Huge bowl serving up to 4 people, spicy yet delicious. Waldorf Salad - soya mayonnaise, lots of nuts, raisins and fresh ingredients, extremely tasty and well portioned. Silken Tofu sizzling pan - one of the softest tofus ever, just melts in the mouth. Crispy fried mushroom- varied mushrooms deep fried with a tangy sauce. A definite must try. Mock prawns in a sweet and sour sauce Rice noodles with mock chicken Noodle bowl with fried wontons and a clear soup type side. All in all great food and a definite must try.

I've been coming to this restaurant many times, but had a less than pleasant experience recently. I came around 6pm, ordered a meal, and they prepared the food very quickly. About 15 minutes all the menus we ordered came. What's the problem, we, who didn't know that this restaurant closed at 19:00 pm, were forced (or to be precise, the waiter indirectly forced us) to eat faster. At around 18:30, the restaurant staff had already started to tidy up the seats (and make annoying noise), turned off some of the lights, and even got ready to go home (while carrying their own bags while serving the customers who were still eating). It's really uncomfortable to have dinner with such situation. If they really have to close at 19:00, when we first came or when we still chosing the menu to order food, the waiter should give a message if they close at 19:00, so that buyers don't have order too many food, or just order to take away, not dine in.

Love most of food on the menu. Its better to eat food that can be eaten together with friends/family (such as udon, noodle, tofu, soup, vegetable, etc) compared to order personal menu (such as nasi goreng/pangsit mie/bakso/etc). Still the best vegetarian restaurant you can find in Surabaya

Loving Hut Restaurant is a well known vegan restaurant in Surabaya. The menu mainly consists of Chinese and Indonesian cuisine with a few western cuisine. I recommend Loving Hut restaurant either for vegan or non-vegan people. They can have a new experience tasting delicious vegan food.

Very nice place for vegetarians. Food is very simple and delicious. Staff are very active and serve order quickly.

I've tried so many kind of their menu. My most favorite was their pure festive, their satay and the stir fry green bean dishes. I was sureprise by how the "chicken" tasted almost similar like the real one. Very yummy and the price is quite reasonable i guess. In this pictures below, i was ordering crispy joy with rice, veggie feast n chips, and fried enoki. Well they weren't the healthiest choice in their menu, but i felt like i wanna eat something fried so i went for it and everything was as yummy as usual and last but not least I super enjoy eating their sambal, it's spicy and a bit sweet. I just love their vegetarian foods, since it's not that easy to find a good vegetarian restaurant so 5 stars.
