Stayed here for a wedding. Didn’t get to check into our room until 1am bc of festivities. Upon arriving we realized the AC didn’t work in the room. At this point we just slept in the sweat box of a room bc after 15 hours of wedding stuff who wants to relocate rooms at that time. In the morning when we went to check out all they offered was to comp our parking. Had no desire to argue. The motel 6 even has working AC. The least they could have done is offer some meaningful compensation other than parking..

Not a five star hotel! The rooms are average and are smell. There is no open restaurant for part of the day closing before 11. Room service food is simply bad aside from being expensive for what’s offered. You can get a better room for the price.

My husband and I have been going to Loews NYC for years for date nights. We always go back as they really value repeat guests. Service is outstanding and unmatched by any of the other high end hotels that we have attended. Check in is always quick and seamless. Most recently we were greeted with cookies, hot chocolate, champagne upon check in. The location is perfect on Park Ave and within walking distance to Central Park and some of our favorite restaurants. Rooms are immaculate, bigger than most hotels in the city. Modern decor. Management really cares and goes above and beyond to make it an exceptional experience. I have and will continue to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC.

First of all, this is not even close to a “5 star Hotel” as it claims to be. Paid $750 for a room and experience that should have been half that. Rooms are dated, particularly the tiny bathrooms with yellowing marble from 40 years ago. Staff was nice but not overly so. Everything just felt very average. Not what I was expecting. Beware.

Wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Room is nice size for NYC and lovely but small bathroom. Received a treat of magnolia bakery banana pudding from the staff which was a nice surprise. Room service very good as well, would stay here again. Great location as well.

The location is quiet yet walkable to lots of shopping, restaurants, and shows. The room was really spacious with AM/PM housekeeping service so we didn't feel rushed to get out in the mornings. The cafe/grill is a convenient perk, and all staff members were amazingly friendly. We loved our stay!

Loews Regency epitomizes elegance and hospitality. The service does not get any better. The moment you pull up, in your car or cab, there is someone immediately welcoming you and greeting you. Check in is most efficient and seamless ... and the rooms- clean and very spacious! Hats off to the housekeeping team! It's not just the initial welcome, come back from any activity or stroll in Central Park (around the corner) and once again the greetings and welcomes abound. This property and the staff know how to combine comfort and class. The best place to stay in NYC. To add, we have stayed her on multiple occasions and have found this excellent level of service to be true each and every time! Shout out also to Isaac who always makes you feel right at home. He is such a hard worker and greets you with a welcoming smile every time! The staff here is genuinely nice and caring. Juan, Robert, Abdul, Angelina, Bill, (can't recall all the names), but each and every one go above and beyond to ensure your stay is excellent. They all have such kind spirits. We are most thankful for them all. Nothing beats being remembered upon return. We are always greeted with a "welcome home" or "welcome back"- such a refreshing touch!

We just spent 5 days at the Loews Regency and were blown away. Every detail was perfect. Our room was right outside the elevators but the elevators didn't make a "ding" noise when they arrived so it wasn't a problem. That is so rare! Room service was quick and delicious and the servers were so helpful and kind. Every service person made us feel like royalty. The shower was so strong that I could actually wash the shampoo out of my hair easily! It just felt like someone had considered everything that was wrong in other hotels and fixed it. We could not believe how reasonably priced it was for this absolutely amazing hotel.

I am staying at this so called ‘5 star’ hotel for 4 nights. The room itself is nice enough, but not as luxury as I would expect from a 5star hotel in Manhattan. One morning we had no heat or hot water for many hours, could not shower. We never got a discount for this, just a generic apology letter. Also, a $70 breakfast each morning was included in our room rate. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? I was excited. Unfortunately it’s a big scam. This morning I spent $107 on a generic breakfast for two. I had the NY bagel (ess-a-bagel, cream cheese, 4 slices of smoked salmon, onion, tomato, capers) and my husband had French toast (3 pieces) and a latte. The food tasted generic and not high quality or luxury. So in the guise of $70 worth of breakfast included, I actually paid $37 …. which is what I would’ve paid at a generic restaurant anywhere outside the hotel. They have inflated their breakfast prices to scam customers. Overall, I think it’s better if you spend your money at another 5 star place, this one is not worth the money.

This review would have been 5 star if this was a 2 star hotel, the last thing you expect from a 5 star hotel is a cockroach roaming your room. We choose this hotel based on our previous experience with their sister hotel in Chicago where I was impressed with their cleanliness and attention to details. I had initially booked at different brand and I changed it to lowes based on that experience after I realized they are in New York too. That was a mistake I wouldn’t be repeating in the future. It is hard to fall asleep after having such an experience. So let's just say I was shocked to be greeted with this. I understand that things happen but a 5 star hotel with premium rates should held themselves to much higher standards. Now once that happens you start seeing things that usually overlook like rust and poorly maintained drawers and burnt light bulbs. The staff are very courteous and attentive and did reach out and offer their apologies but that doesn’t change the events, it is not like we got the wrong food order. As for the rest of things they are on par with other hotels…nothing wow..

There are much nicer 3 star hotels in the city that are half the price of a night here, and I would rather stay there The room was grimy (especially the shower), everything felt aged (fixtures, furniture, electronics), staff were unable to do simple things. My colleague also had a massive wet spot in the corner of his hotel room that nobody would visit his room to investigate I corrected them on my email for billing 3 times at the counter, giving every letter individually with a supporting word, and continuously caught her making typos (she would not confirm it afterwards). I then struggled for a week to get a bill for my business trip, because the email was wrong. I left a message asking for a callback, and never got one. I will admit the lady I spoke to on the phone when I finally got through to one was very helpful and knowledgeable Once I did finally get the bill, I found out they charged me for catering? Which I absolutely had not gotten Do not go here. Spend your money someplace better. Look at my photos, and you tell me if you think this is an almost $600 a night experience

We visited NYC during Thanksgiving break and Lowes proved to be an excellent choice. Shout out to Angelina, she was very accommodating with checking us in early, recommending eateries and ensuring we knew everything the hotel had to offer. Overall service provided from the front door, desk, housekeeping, room service to restaurant was stellar.

Amazing experience staying here for several days! We were traveling with a 10 month old baby and the level of accommodation was wonderful. They provided us a crib, fridge/freezer, and even a small kit of baby friendly supplies. In addition to that, the location, food, and overall comfort were all exceptional. Will be top of our list next time we visit the city!

The Regency distinguishes itself in many ways. Above all, we stay here because of the exceptional staff. They are terrifically dedicated and attentive. There is an effort to do everything possible to make guests feel pampered.

My recent visit to The Regency Hotel left me thoroughly impressed, not only with their outstanding bar service but also with the beauty of my room. This upscale establishment has truly mastered the art of creating an inviting and sophisticated environment for patrons to enjoy a memorable stay. Let's start with the bar service. The bar at The Regency Hotel is a true gem. From the moment you take a seat, you can sense the dedication to providing an exceptional experience. What immediately stood out to me was their extensive selection of wines. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply someone looking to enjoy a glass with friends, their carefully curated wine list has something to suit every palate. The staff at the bar are not only knowledgeable about their wine offerings but also incredibly attentive. Their recommendations and insights are spot-on, making it easy to explore new varietals or stick with old favorites. This level of service elevates the entire drinking experience, ensuring that every guest feels valued and well-cared for. What truly sets The Regency Hotel apart is its environment. It's a haven for those seeking a place to unwind, relax, and engage in meaningful conversations with friends. The ambiance is refined yet comfortable, striking the perfect balance between elegance and warmth. It's an ideal spot for both intimate gatherings and larger social events. Now, let's talk about the rooms. My room at The Regency Hotel was nothing short of beautiful. The attention to detail in the design and decor was evident from the moment I stepped inside. The tasteful furnishings, luxurious bedding, and well-appointed amenities created a space that felt both elegant and inviting. It was clear that the hotel had put thought into ensuring that guests not only have a comfortable stay but also a visually pleasing one. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a place to unwind after a long day, The Regency Hotel offers both exceptional bar service and beautiful rooms. The combination of outstanding service, a diverse wine selection, an inviting environment, and stunning accommodations make it a standout destination for anyone seeking a memorable and luxurious experience. It's a testament to The Regency Hotel's commitment to excellence, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a remarkable stay.

There are myriad reasons we always stay at the Loews Regency on our frequent visits to the city. Location cannot be beat. The UES is beautiful, a short walk to the park — a quiet and genteel neighborhood relatively speaking. The staff is professional and courteous. Clearly they recognize us as repeat guests, which leads to an even more hospitable feeling. Once when my daughter and I stayed there after she had outpatient surgery at NYU, the staff was above and beyond solicitous - bringing buckets of ice every couple of hours so we could manage swelling at the surgical site, re-arranging a storage closet so we could use the wheelchair lift to bring my daughter into the restaurant. A concierge called more than a couple of times to check on us personally. Beyond that, the rooms are lovely, comfortable beds and I love that the blow dryer has a narrow concentrator nozzle. It’s a small detail, but it’s small details such as these that set the Loews apart.

Excellent family vacation from start to finish. The staff here is very accommodating especially the bell staff. Thank you Lowes for always making us feel welcomed! Happy holidays.

I did not stay here, but stopped in the bar for a drink, and although I was there quite a while with my single drink, I did not feel at all pressured to vacate the table. The waiter checked in with me and graciously refilled my water glass but never made me feel rushed. A lovely experience--very classy.

There was no complimentary water in the room - after an 8 hour flight I was shocked to see the $12 price tag on the bottle. For a 5 star hotel that’s pretty low class. And a no go for me so I’ve cut my stay short and left after two days. Otherwise: the lobby gives the impression of a 3 star hotel. The room was great though and the bed was comfortable. Some of the employees were very friendly, others not (particularly one of the ladies at the restaurant reception). I won’t be coming back.

This is my second stay at the Loews Regency and it did not disappoint. Comfortable and understated are the best words to describe this hotel. Just steps from Madison Ave. shopping and Central Park, there are many different kinds of guests. Everyone is welcome here. The guests are as friendly as the staff! We ate most of our meals at the hotel and were not disappointed. The hotel was clean and maid service was great. Front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. The bellman staff was great with hailing cabs. The main bellman somehow arranged our large suitcase and three carry-on bags in the trunk of an Uber- Camry. Despite all the NYC hustle and bustle the Loews Regency is a restful spot. I can't wait to return.

Everything was amazing great service for rooms and excellent service in the bar and grill slow at times but very good service. Then the hot water heater broke, and there was one day without hot water that was unacceptable. The staff was helpful and accommodating during this situation.

My stay was amazing! The front desk Abdul was very professional and kind and was attended to all our needs. Also the hotel staff was super friendly, breakfast delicious. Also a 5 stars to Jaqueline (our housekeeper). Her joy is contagious. She really seems to value and love her work! Hope to be back soon!

Superb! A gorgeous hotel with incredibly attentive staff and great amenities. The food was awesome and the bartenders really knew their stuff. I texted when I needed ice or more towels and they were very quick to respond and go above and beyond. Highly reccomend this hotel!

Love this hotel... convenient, comfortable, staff is great, everything works, everything close by. Smaller floors at the top (above about 17) have balconies on the corners, hard to get. Great views up and down the avenue and quiet in the back. Sort of like your own Park Avenue apartment...

This place is great! Great for families - double premium is spacious for a family of 4. Amazing views of Park Ave. Our family spent 4 days. Victor was great, really welcoming and accommodating. Thank you all. We will be back!

Solid hotel - locations a huge plus Could improve lobby appearance - dated carpet (stains) and entrance just didn’t seem very welcoming Food and service was a solid experience too although could be better compared to other 5 star hotels in the area that I’ve stayed at Overall, I’d stay again because of the location and relative value. With these small adjustments, the hotel can easily make their guest experience a huge win and ensure guest loyalty

This feels more like a fancy motel than a 5 star luxury stay. - 12AM Checkout was delayed for an hour (they took our number and said they'd let us know but that never happened so we had to keep checking) - Breakfast was a total ripoff, totaled to 100$ for an omelet and an avocado toast, juice and coffee. - They charge 12$ for water - AmEx platinum member welcome amenities were missing - Our bags were taken from us to be brought up to the room but then given back to us when we were checking in?? We were so confused - Bathroom door does not close Everything seemed so unorganized, yet extremely pricy and so many hidden fees. Would recommend spending a couple more to book a better hotel to avoid this.

Good location, friendly staff. Bathroom in our room was more like a 3 star. Be careful of the automated mini bar which charges you if you move the $12 Fiji water, which also has a restocking fee and tax on top of the $12 for the water.

Extremely friendly crew. Very supportive concierge desk - thanks to Kathleen, Ela and Robert. We stayed six days and felt at home from the first minute. Besides very nice bar and Grill. Five of five stars well deserved!

Came here with my fiance and my pup and had the most amazing time. Room was huge and the bed was super comfy with good quality sheets. You couldn't hear any noises from outside (I was on the fourth floor facing the street) or from the other guests. I am only taking one star because my bathroom wasn't super clean when I checked in with various hairs on the shower area from the previous guest. This place is super pet friendly and that was a huge plus for us. Location wise I would say amazing location, I was centric but in a more residential area which I appreciated but you are 2 min walk away from central park and from the shops at 5th Ave.

The welcome by Angelina at check in was unsurpassed. She was delightful, kind and extremely helpful. She went out of her way to get us an early check in/room upgrade. What an excellent way to be welcomed to a new hotel. Carlo at the bar was extremely kind, excellent server and 'berry' funny...a little joke between him and us. Roberto, the concierge, made an excellent restaurant suggestion and even booked a reservation for us. So very helpful. This hotel is a wonderful property and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely stunning stay at Loews Regency NYC! Our recent visit to Loews Regency NYC for our 25th anniversary exceeded all expectations and has firmly secured its place as our favorite hotel in the city. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our celebration extra special. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with delightful sparkling wine and decadent chocolate truffles, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. The highlight was undoubtedly the spectacular suite upgrade offering breathtaking views of Park Ave. Christopher, Heather, Abdul, Angelina, Karen, Daniella, Victor, and others went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, making us feel truly welcomed throughout our stay. The hotel exudes a refined elegance without any sense of stuffiness, creating a relaxing ambiance in the beautifully appointed rooms equipped with all the necessary amenities. One morning, the hotel hosted a private event at the renowned Regency Bar & Grill for breakfast. Instead of simply redirecting guests elsewhere, they graciously arranged a delectable buffet on the second floor at a reasonable price—an exceptional gesture rarely found elsewhere. Room service was prompt and consistently excellent, and the housekeeping staff seemed to have an uncanny ability to anticipate our needs, ensuring our room was always immaculate. Special mention must be made of the exceptional service provided by the bell attendants, who undoubtedly rank among the finest in the city. For anyone planning a trip to Manhattan, I cannot recommend this extraordinary Upper East Side hotel enough. The unbeatable value and prime location make it an absolute must-visit. Thank you once again for an incredible trip that exceeded all expectations.

Well-located, close to subway, Central Park and great shops. Spacious and clean room. Good quality items (towels, blankets, pillows). Only con is restaurant price - other than that, all great.

The room and hotel itself was fine, but I accidentally left behind my diamond earrings and a necklace in my room and when I called to see if they were found by the staff I was simply told there was nothing in lost and found. When I asked if they would mind checking directly with housekeeping as they were sentimental I was told to call back the next day. When I called back the next day, at the time they suggested, housekeeping was not available. When I asked to speak to the manager they told me he was unavailable and the process was to check with lost and found and if not there they did not have them. When I asked to leave a message with the manager to see if they could just do a little extra digging given the value of the belongings I never heard back. I completely accept that I left my belongings there but they could have provided a little more effort and service, asked for my number, looked into it just a little further and then followed up. NOT GREAT.

Loved my stay! A great location and wonderful service. The room was immaculate! Plenty of towels and appreciated the freshening of the room each day. Very friendly staff.

Very comfortable. Felt like home away from home, with the extra service. Tried to have Breakfast at the diner this morning but the space was way too busy... very popular, will try again and hope it lives up to their reputation. Dissappointed not to have breakfast in house when I want to, but there are options: the bakery next door with delicious coffees and/or room service is always available. The Spa connected is high end and professional (had a mani $$) as expected. My experience of the hotel has been very enjoyable.4 nights. I did over-hear another guest complain that they stayed longer than a week and the hotel standards had dropped, including the freshness of the food and their fridge... on that note, this has not been my experience. Great central location to shopping and the park as well. I would return.

From the moment we arrived to our departure we received the most stellar I service . The room was gorgeous everything was clean every surface polished I could not have been happier. My two other companions were as happy as I was. All precautions were taken against covid. Thehe beds were incredibly comfortable. I would stay there again gladly
