Okay so I haven't been in a while because the toast they used was thin toast and I love a good thick toast. I returned on the weekend to take mum out for brekky and well.... they changed the toast to thick toast. I am so happy and I am obsessed. Java hut is my favourite breakfast place, they have the most decent breakfast prices out of all the places I've been to. They also have a great range of alternative milks and I really enjoy the food. The picture below shows the Veggie Breakfast, it was only $12!!! I added the bearnaise sauce for an additional $2! Such a big yummy breakfast for only 14 dollars. Gawler is 20 minute drive from me and it is worth the drive ! Best value place in Adelaide!!!!

Still the best breakfast & for best price i know! I went in today and got a mega breakfast. It was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes here are amazing while still being very cheap. Perfect place to bring the family for breakfast, brunch or lunch! Absolutely amazing and friendly staff that provide amazing service whether eating in or getting take away. I'd highly recommend the Javahut to anyone and everyone, amazing dietary options to suit all needs and a kid friendly environment. Head there and enjoy yourselves.

I'm amazed about the size of the big breakfast & mega big. Really good value. They make really good Iced Mocca, too, with ice cream, not cube. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

Had the Eggs Benedict on pancakes and couldn’t help but feel a tinge of food envy when I saw the big breakfast ordered by the couple next to me. If I return, the big breakfast will definitely be my choice. Here’s a tip: order the Eggs Benedict on a single pancake and save the other for dessert. At just $13.50 for Bennie, these breakfast prices are reminiscent of rates I haven’t seen since 2006.

Awesome food and friendly staff, never had a bad meal or experience from these guys. Breakfast is always great and their REAL CHICKEN schnitzels are awesome as well! Not the normal processed rubbish other stores have.

What can I say about The Java Hut, except.... Great staff, lovely food at affordable prices. I was visiting from Cape Town, South Africa. The Java Hut is a favourite place of my sister and brother in law who live in Craigmore. Indeed, they had occasion to visit twice last week. Their arms didn't require twisting to do so!! 😊

I love this place - the food, the service, and the prices. The only downside is the wait time when they are busy ... last w/end we waited for just over 50 mins!!! This is why I only give it 4 stars.

They were understaffed yesterday so took a while for our food but it was worth the wait. Especially the blueberry pancakes 🥞

Brilliant place for a snack or meal. The staff are lovely and always smiling and friendly. You can't help but feel part of the family.

I had a great value English breakfast style meal here and my partner had an eggs Benedict with pancakes instead of toast. Both were very nice. I even had English breakfast tea in proper pot and a mug with the tea for 2. It's a handy stop if you're traveling and on the way from Adelaide to Barossa Valley. Tables outside so you can probably eat with your dog too.

Driving through on our way to Clare we stopped here for a quick coffee and something to eat and I’m so glad we did! This Cafe was extremely busy which is always a good sign. Prompt service, good location and great food. Chai Latte was 10/10!

Everytime I go to Javahut they never disappoint! Best place in Gawler for a nice big greasy breakfast. Great staff too!

  • 3/5 Tom W. 2 years ago on Google
Very trendy. Excellent service. Didn't try the food. But they didn't know what 'cold brew' or 'over ice' were. It's summer. Coffee doesn't have to be hot to be amazing.

A nice mug of coffee definitely worth getting up early for! Finally a nice cup of joe in days. Love the vibe and the decorations of this place which features a lot of monkey 🙈 elements. We ordered a brekky wrap and Java Cheese, all were delivered perfectly. The ingredients are fresh and the combination are magnificent. Really nice place to start your morning with.

Love it here! The Java Hut is home to the greatest breakfast and brunch foods there is, with a variety of choices. Every time I go here it takes me 20 minutes just to decide what I will order. It has delightful customer service and a beautiful interior. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options.

My wife and I have our favourites around Adelaide, this would be our favourite cafe up the northern area. Awesome food with big portions. Make sure you book because they're always busy.

Big breakfast all day. Very popular. Suggest you book. Friendly staff. Excellent value. I had the snag and onions in a roll, wife had steak sandwich and chips (huge) and couldn't eat it all. Daughter had fish and chips (huge) 2 large fish. We'll be returning soon.

Awsome as usual. Been going there for 16 years and it's always awsome. Great food and drinks, value for money. Only one small complaint are the fly around windows areas but no fault of there's as can't stop them as near doors.

My wife and I stopped at this nice cafe while crossing the Gawler, and we had a delicious brekkie. We tried Tookie and Samplette which were tasty. The staff was friendly and welcoming as well.

The wait staff were very lovely and accommodating. Toddler friendly with high chairs available. The food was very fast! The coffee was good however we weren’t blown away by the food. The scrambled eggs were plain and average. The big breakfast wasn’t well presented but ok. The banana pancakes were the star of the show, absolutely delicious!!

This cafe is exceptional as they haven't raised their menu prices in the last few years, making it stand out from the rest. The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. It's become a must-visit spot every time we pass through Gawler. Kids love the name of their food as well.

The Java Hut is one of those little gems in the Gawler community - it’s a busy cafe and I can see why. The food here is amazing. The quality of the big breakfast, and the price point are spot on. But what makes this place in my view, is the amazing friendly and smiling staff. I was greeted by two smiling ladies who made me feel very welcome and this I can see how they interacted with their guests was heart warming. When you have good food and service like this, ofcourse people are going to come back for more!

Went for breakfast yesterday, staff were friendly and food was tasty! Very good pricing as well. Definitely recommend🙂

  • 4/5 Suzanne H. 9 months ago on Google
For its price point this thriving cafe is somewhere you have to go! The staff are busy preparing and serving generous meals of simple but well done meals of chips, pancakes, bakery bread with what you want. We enjoyed the snitizel meal with an amazing amount of chips, eggs on toast done my way, cream cheese toastie and a cheese toastie. Staff were friendly, book ahead for groups, cafe was neat. Thank you

The food was fresh and warm when it came out. Big servings on big plates was very nice and so very reasonably priced. The food was delicious. One of the best cafes in Gawler.

OMFG, what an awesome place for breakfast/brunch!! Never been here before, drove past it for years, but today we went there for Brunch and I was absolutely taken back! Orders came out without much time passing and they were all excellent well prepared and portioned meals, Definitely get bang for buck here. The food/dishes isn’t presented elaborately with fancy cutlery and plates like a typical hipster cafe in the city/inner suburbs, it is just good honest food as per the menu in good portions. Same goes for the coffee/drinks, and I reckon this is why I’ve been so impressed with this place. I’m writing this still in the cafe letting it all digest! We’ll be back in due course! (P.S. Ignore all the 1 Star reviews for this place. They’re all idiots who were probably cooked when they wrote it)

we have been working across the road for about a year and only just started going here, normally I don't like cafe style food but finally decided to try and now its one of our favourite places to go. So far I've tried the warm chicken salad, big breakfast and the doorstop, today we got the chicken schnitzel burgers. like always it is amazing. my co worker has an allergy to tomatoe and they were very careful with the food prep and cooking it away from anything that may cause a reaction. amazing people, amazing food honestly you cant get better :)

Have been here more than once. We generally try whenever the family and I go out, to try some place new. But the last time we where here it was such a pleasant experience so we thought we would try it again. And they did not disappoint. Each experience was great. The staff are friendly, and the food was delicious (even my picky 3 year old loved it), servings size felt generous and the pricing wasn't too expensive. Food: 4 Staff: 4 Price : 3.75 (not quite a 4) Overall it was great and definitely will be coming back again.

Fantastic food, big portions & well priced. The only downfall is just how small the shop is. Rarely ever a table free, booking in advance would be a smart thing to do. It can get very busy and crowded, but the meals are definitely worth putting up with the hustle and bustle!
