Whoa! We came to Adelaide from Sydney to attend an International Conference. We stayed in Hotel Grosvenor. Soon after checking into the hotel, we were rushing to any restaurants. But we didn’t know in Halal restaurant since we are very new in Adelaide. That time we came across Afghan Charcoal Kebab House. Well, in Sydney the Kebab is like a wrap which is not originally a kebab we used to have in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. But yeah, here in Afghan Kebab I found the same taste and texture of Kebab I have ever cherished. For the next five days, we only relied on this beautiful shop. Lamb, Chicken skewers, biriyani, Kabuli pullaw, and many more delicious items are available here. The price is very reasonable and I appreciate the owners for their kind hospitality.

Amazing authentic Afghan cuisine. Very delicious and staff is friendly and accommodative. During our stay in SA, we had dinner and lunch mostly at this restaurant.

Decent ambience for just food Nice location right next to Rundle mall and still far away from the mall crowd Good food - liked the chicken and lamb but not the beef Accompaniments were not great for the meal. All in all a decent quantity for the price at a decent quality too So decently recommended 😃

This place was my first dine out place in Adelaide 2015 and I only remembered the pack of people queued to the back beyond capacity inside the shop. The fresh homemade bread was made in the traditional tandoor in front of the counter. The chicken kebab and pita bread are so delicious and tasty. ☆5 Other charcoal Kebab meat was a little salty or hard and tasty. ☆3 I normally don't like the yogurt sauce but it was mild and didn't have acidity to go with kebab. ☆5 Biryani was very mild and tasty. It just missing the fragrance of fresh spice. ☆4 Friendly customer service and a lot of regular customers were coming to pick up their takeaway food. Overall ☆4.5 but the pita bread is unbeatable.

Adelaide has a number of Afghan Kebab restaurants and while most are great, this is in the top for me. I go here at least 3 to 4 a month to grab lunch because the meat is cooked beyond perfection and that bread is made fresh, it is just great. Every single time I have been here I am yet to have a bad dish, they nail it every time. I have taken so many people over here for lunch and everyone loves it. Plus it is by far one of the best places to get an amazing lunch for a good price.

Great afghan restaurant. Food was reasonable However kebabs were too spicy. The service also wasn’t top notch as we have to wait for water and drink for 15 minutes.

Bit more expensive than the next door but still pretty good, I enjoy eating here as well, as long as they keep the mixed kebab plate less than 20 bucks :)

Yummy food. Service was friendly and fairly fast. The place was nice and cozy. My favourite part of the meal was the rice it was cooked perfect but had flavour. The meat was so flavoursome. I just dont like sausage and something tasted like a sausage so i could not eat one piece.

Meat portions were perfectly cooked and the pieces were all top notch and spiced to the point of deliciousness. Very enjoyable meal. I will most definitely be back when I'm in this part of town. The proprietor is a friendly and welcoming chap, which is also a plus. All in all, well worth a stop in 🙂

Stopped in here for a quick dinner with some work colleagues before a lecture and glad we did. Food both tasted and smelled delicious. Quantity was perfect for me, just enough but not too much. Person working was friendly and food was served promptly. Atmosphere was nice.

Had a really nice meal here with friend. The lamb skewer is really well cooked and seasoned. The bread is absolutely beyond marvellous, extremely recommended to have it while it is hot. The rice meal is impeccable too.

Not quite authentically afghani food. Seemed to have a bit of a Pakistani (spicy) twist to it which I found interesting. The meat was super tend though. Rice perfectly cooked.

Food was okay but not as per expectation. The restaurant staff are very nice. Salmon fish preparation was good. You must try a combo dish. Bread is really good. Overall it is nice.

Overall good. I ordered mixed kebab, couldn't find any issue, enjoyed the meals. Actually Im not a fan of lamb but they were good. And everything not too salty which was good too. But Im not sure there's something special, it gave me feeling like it's just typical kebab I can get from elsewhere.

Best falafel. I ever had. Especially other shops say they are using fresh bread but they are not. Afghan charcoal kebab the wrap bread they use fresh and it's so soft. Each bit feels good.

Food here is delicious and all freshly prepared. My favourite dish was the okra stew / curry. Vine leaves were also excellent. Kids really enjoyed their meat wraps with the soft fluffy pita bread and filled with salad and the meat skewer.

The service and food were both amazing. The bread for the hummus dip was made fresh, it was really great. The kebabs were steaming fresh and delicious. Would definitely come here again.

Overpriced kabab platter. Quantity is small and does not match with price. I am from Melbourne and eat kabab regularly and have delicious and good quantities.

Posting the photos of same skewer kebab on both sides. One side burnt black. Other side was fine. The restaurant guy was never agreeing that they burnt it badly, moreover saying thats how it is. Trying to justify this is how a skewer should be.. How funny..trying to establish that I don't understand how a skewer looks like.. Very bad way of imposing me to eat an over burnt kebab as he feels this is not their fault. Very disappointed. Will never eat there.

Tried kebabs they were soft and juicy plus the owner / server was very pleasing as he came and ask me should I make it mild as you kids with you. That one extra gesture make your day awesome. Baloni was good too plus kids loved it.

The only authentic and real taste of kebabs in Adelaide, juicy and sumptuous taste, and traditional fresh live Afghan bread from tandoor. Muhammad is very friendly and lovely host. A true satisfaction of a feast.👍🏼 😋 💕
