We had a fabulous afternoon in this wonderful family winery in front of a lovely warm fire. This is a hidden gem in Gumeracha which has great wine and food and wonderful staff. Lucca gave us all his attention and told us all about the family history of the wine. He made our day!! Don’t miss out on this fabulous winery you won be disappointed.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Another hidden gem in the Adelaide Hills. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with good old fashioned friendliness and service from the owners that are obviously very passionate about what they do. We enjoyed a lovely wine tasting whilst experiencing delicious food for lunch, topping it off with dessert to die for. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and can't wait to come back and try their home made pizza. Overall we really enjoyed our day. Thankyou to Greg and family for making this such a nice day for Andrew and myself.

Set Menu with matched wines was superb. The chef coming out to explain the menu items is a really nice touch. The staff are friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable. Always a great experience.

Lovely lunch, and they allowed us to do the tasting as we went - which was free if one then bought a bottle of wine. Better than most matched flights! We were looking for a treat not a bargain but this would have to have been one of the best value meals at a winery I can recall.

So friendly and welcoming and the wines are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ delicious! We went to a few wineries in the area and this was by far our favourite of the day. Greg was so warm and welcoming and made sure we had a great experience. Will definitely be back one day soon!

If food is a reflection of the soul, then Chef Katrina is the soul keeper. Her dishes are both wholesome and organic, a characteristic of someone who cooks out of passion... and not only for accolades. We shared three dishes, the Moroccan Veg & Chickpea Curry, the Coconut Basil & Chilli Chicken and the Barahat Lamb. All of which were GF (gluten free for us coeliacs) and flavour packed. Special shout out to Jenny, Nan and the team for providing a sincere level of service that most fine dining establishments are missing. Thank you Mt Bera.... we'll be back soon

We had a lovely meal here on the verandah, enjoying the view and tasting the lovely wines. The food was excellent and so was the service.

Discovering boutique winerys is something I can do forever. Mt Bera Cellar Door Restaurant is a amazing experience the service was beyond and above the wine was great and the food was out of this world. Its a must visit if I could give it a 10 out of 5 rating I would.

What an amazing place. We had a great day. The wine and food was incredible and very reasonably priced for the quality. We ended up purchasing quite a few bottles!! Kids had a blast running round the gardens too. Family owned and very friendly. Thank you for a great day guys. See you again soon.

Lunch and tasting in at the winery was exquisite. We sat in the verandah area with views of the winery and served a selection from the ample small plates menu. Catering to all tastes. The fennel and citrus salad was one of the best I have tasted. Wine tasting was spaced through our stay and the range was excellent. Greg the owner and wine maker entertained us with the history of the winery and composition of the wines. Came away with three bottles with one a birthday gift. Lauren the manager excelled at ensuring our needs were met with excellent friendly service. We will be back!

This is one of the best wine tasting experience I had in SA. Truly a hidden gem in Gumeracha. Great customer service, excellent wine, scrumptious food! Highly recommended! ★★★★★

Excellent premium wine tasting, so nice to have so many museum releases, and such a wide range with very little that we didn't enjoy. The new menu in the restaurant was very creative and well done, and good value for money, complements to the new chef. We love family run wineries, especially when the quality is as high as this.

The location & food are great here. They are very understanding of my dietary requirements & the staff are excellent. My only complaint would be that both times that we have visited the restaurant, we have been sat near large groups who have members who compete to be the loudest at the table. Both times my wife & I were there for a romantic meal but were unable to hear each other . Maybe groups should be seated together & doors shut to deafen the sound.

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The pizza’s were delicious, the wine delightful & the service and the views were amazing. How lucky are we to have such a great venue on our doorstep. Thanks for having us.

Not my first visit here nor will it be my last. I love Mt Bera Winery. Recently I chose this winery to celebrate my 60th with close family and friends. We had the 4 course set menu at $70/ person. Everyone raved about the food served and everyone loved the wine served. Many had never been and were in awe of the quality of both food and wine. The service was excellent and they were very attentive to our needs. Communication before the event was also excellent. I highly recommend you visit and see for yourself what a wonderful place Mt Bera winery, located at Gumeracha, is.

An absolutely delightful day of delicious wine flights, cheese & charcuterie board, wood oven baked pizzas, a fantastic view of the Crawford forest & Greg. Greg made a lovely day memorable with his vast knowledge of wine, climate specific grape varieties, moon phases & travelling stories. We had visited this lovely winery in the past & were so happy that we chose to visit again. Definitely would recommend.

On Sunday Dec 3 I invited 10 of my closest family and friends to join me for a milestone birthday lunch at Mt Bera Winery. I found the staff (Aiyana and Fiona) to be very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable and they both ably assisted me to make menu and wine choices for the group of whom three were vegans. The afternoon went completely to plan and exceeded my expectations. My guests enjoyed good food curated by award winning Chef, Robin, and fine wines, all served in a very ambient setting on the veranda, overlooking the Torrens Valley. Greg and Katrina, the very welcoming owners of Mt Bera, have completed extensive renovations to their winery, ensuring guests get a memorable food and wine tasting experience.

Lovely platter lunch with an extensive tasting menu. Plenty of non-wine options for those so inclined. Friendly staff and lovely intimate setting. With great garden views. Recommended, and will return!

Came across this little gem by accident. Beautiful setting, great staff and good wines. We ordered the share plate prawns and got 3 &1/2 each - small ones - very tasty but for over $30 thought it should come with at least some wild rice. Had to order potatoes - nice but not ideal with prawns. I think this is a place to watch especially if they can get the menu right.

Had a great time here on the weekend. The service was amazing. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was beautiful. The drive up was amazing and the location was absolutely picturesque! I have already been encouraging my friends and family to come here! I will definitely be back!

We visited this beautiful winery on the last day of our recent visit to SA, ending our holiday on a very high note. We enjoyed a long afternoon on the verandah lunching on plates of delicious pickles, popcorn, cheese, salad, trfuffled honey and lentil pies while tasting and learning about a seemingly endless and diverse list of gorgeous wine. We ended our afternoon ordering a mix of some of our favourites which were sent promptly, arriving shortly after we returned home to Queensland. Do yourself a favour and put this magical winery on the top of you list for your next visit to the Adelaide Hills, we certainly have!

Having scoured through many positive reviews I couldn't resist taking our overseas visitors for lunch at Mt Bera this afternoon. We were greeted warmly on arrival and proceeded to our table overlooking mesmerising views of the hills. We were looked after by Nan a very efficient and affable young man the minute we stepped into tasting/dinning area he took us through some very interesting varietal and nothing was too much trouble for him. The food we ordered were terrific match for the wine we tasted it was a very memorable experience and I would highly recommend food lovers and wine buffs to make a trip up here, we left with a mixed dozen and look forward to bringing our children here next.

This place is an absolute Gem. The food is rustic using fresh and local ingredients to produce amazing flavours. Nan was great and introduced us to the Mt Bera range of wines as we leisurely tasted many (at no cost) over lunch. We enjoyed quite a few of the wines and ended up buying a couple mixed dozens. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful experience at Mt. Bera yesterday. Didn’t have a booking due to mixup elsewhere, but they couldn’t have been more welcoming, accommodating and attentive. Staff were terrific in dealing with catering needs for children and vegans. Wine and food were great, beautiful views, lovely atmosphere. They made our day perfect.

This was one of the best tasting/dining winery experiences that my wife and I have had. We had not heard of Mt Bera before, but facing a long drive, we decided to break it at Mt Bera based on the excellent Google reviews. We called ahead and reserved a table. When we arrived we were impressed by the garden setting and the lovely old building. The staff welcomed us warmly and took us straight to our table, providing us with menus and water. I was about to indicate that we would do some tasting after lunch when the server explained we could taste wines during our lunch. We started with a generous gourmet platter followed by sharing the delicious Lebanese Baharat spiced lamb. We also shared a lovely caramelised peach/almond cake for dessert. Our meal was spread over 2.5 hours during which we tasted 19 of the Mt Bera wines - as designated driver I had to spit out all my tastings which was disappointing because we tasted some very nice wines. We particularly liked the Dreamcatcher SB and the Boundless Horizons Gruner Veltliner, Pinot Noir and Syrah. We departed with a mixed case of 12 bottles of our preferred wines. During the whole experience we were overwhelmed by the top quality service and friendliness of the staff. It's a pity that Mt Bera is so far from our home in Melbourne.

Really enjoyed our little stop over here at Mt Bera wine pre-lunch rush. Tastings are free but we ordered some small bites to go with the tasting. I recommend the baked Camembert! Also recommend the sparkling Pinot Noir. Also don’t forget to “check-in” as you stand near the fire place.
