Randomly stumbled across this place on Google/Yelp on our way home from skiing. We were very pleasantly surprised! This place was so good! The burgers were all very unique and the two we tried were great. We also tried one of their baos which was very good. The server was very helpful in telling us about the menu and giving us some recommendations. They were also able to accommodate my wife’s gluten sensitivity by making a salad out of her burger. The fries were also good. The prices are a little elevated compared to some burger shops, but these are unique creations using high quality ingredients. Other than that, no complaints, will for sure be back!

Overall: I would definitely go back and try more of the menu! FOOD: Pork Belly Bao $4 (pork belly slow braised in soy and mirin, fresh slaw, hoisin peanut sauce, served on a Chinese steamed bun): I did not enjoy this bao which is hard for me since I love bao! There was too much of everything else and not enough pork belly. The piece of pork belly was so thin and small that you barely tasted it. Combo Plate Chicken Karaage and Hawaiian Fried Chicken $15 (Karaage - boneless fried chicken with sweet and tangy house sauce; Fried Chicken - boneless fried chicken with garlic sesame soy chili sauce): Both the karaage and Hawaiian fried chicken was very good. The chicken were fried pretty well but most of the crispiness disappears due to the sauce coated on the outside. The flavor was there but not the crispiness but that is partly my fault for expecting Japanese style karaage. Chop Chop Salad (romaine heart, ham, apples, tomato, cilantro, red onions, parmesan, and provolone cheese): No price as this is included with any plate item. I liked but didnt like the salad (if that makes sense). There is a lot of dressing as its fully coated every item in the salad which is actually a huge plus to me BUT I'm not a fan of ham or fruit being in my salad. Da Hilo Boy Burger $14 (Loco moco burger - charred beef patty, caramelized onion, smoked bacon confit, mushroom, and fried egg): The burger is huge and looked extremely good. I did not eat this as someone else in our party had it. They enjoyed the burger a lot - said the flavor and texture was on point. Kimchi Fried Rice $15.50 (kimchi, smoked bacon, caramelized onion, fried egg): I did not have this but it looked extremely delicious and the person in our group said its something they ordered repeatedly. Chicken Karaage Kids Meal $6 (boneless fried chicken with sweet and tangy house sauce, served with fries). RESTAURANT/INTERIOR: Clean and minimal restaurant. They didnt have the full seating due to the pandemic (I assume). If its a concern to anyone, they did not space the tables 6 feet apart which is fine as the restaurant is pretty small. There was one row of tables on one side of the restaurant that was not available for seating. The restaurant did provide disposable tissue next to every door (main door and restrooms) for customers to use so no one has to touch the handles directly. STAFF: Everyone was friendly. The front of the house team was pretty much on top of everything - knew regulars by name, delivered the food and also offered to get utensils and napkins for each person, etc. My only issue with the team was food service was kind of slow. I'm not sure if its due to short staff or a lot of to-go orders but when we first ordered and sat down, I noticed none of the tables had their food and the restaurant was pretty full.

I had high expectations and was still pleasantly surprised. It’s a little bit on the pricier side but 100% worth every penny. The chicken is crispy even when coated in sauce, the salad is delicious with apples, cheese, ham, onion, etc, not just lettuce and dressing. I really appreciate the use of compostable to-go ware (although I don’t know what they use for forks/knives, I got chopsticks). The choice to buy eco-friendly boxes and utensils definitely makes me want to choose this restaurant over others. I didn’t dine in but the restaurant seemed very clean and put together and the staff was friendly. I will definitely come back!

This is the second time we had gone to this place, primarily to get our fix of the fried chicken here 😊 This is an awesome place to stop and grab a quick bite. It has a spacious interior for dine in and many folks stop here for take out too. Since it's the pandemic time now, the food is served in take out boxes with plastic cutlery, but wish they get back to serving the food in actual plates. I still remember having the fried chicken the first time i had been here, on a wooden platter. That was awesome. The food here is really good. You should go chrck it out!

The food is FANTASTIC!! Very good quality and quantity, well worth the money! Freshly made and the taste was like a 5 star restaurant. Will definitely be coming back soon. The chop salad is very, very good along with Karaage chicken and the Hawaiian chicken!

The Chop chop salad is my favorite salad from a restaurant. Sanita not only made me a bottle of dressing she also offered to get me ice when she found out I was traveling a long distance. Great food. Better service!

Unique take on burgers. A lot of flavor, a little too much. Not something I’ll crave. But it was different, which I enjoy. My husband enjoyed it more than me.

OMG everything was so good! Traditional karage is really juicy and soft while the skin remains crispy. Hawaiian karage has a sweet and sour sauce. Galbi was surprisingly good - very juicy and thick meat. Definitely have the chopped salad - also very delicious and refreshing. Will be very happy to visit again!

Unique burgers and food here at the box & burgers Eatery. The flavors were great. The fries were underwhelming but the yuzu sauce was so good. The burgers were not too hot which threw me off but I’d come back and give them another try.

Wow, great burgers. Patty tastes fresh, cooked juicy with a crunchy char. Toppings are fantastic. I had the blue cheese burger and can't wait to try the others. French fries are the skinny kind, very hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and so good. This is now one of my favorite fast food burgers.

4.5 stars! I wanted to try the food here because my husband has been raving about the baos, so I tried the kalua pork bao which had an Asian, Hawaiian, and Mexican fusion. I loved the Asian glass noodle salad with shrimp; very tasty, light, and refreshing. The chicken karaage was a bit too sweet and dry. I was not expecting it to be smothered in sweet sauce so it lost a lot of that crispiness (if you like yours crispy, maybe order the sauce on the side as a dip). They used chicken breast for the karaage and the meat was not sliced properly against the grain so biting/chewing the long pieces of meat was not easy. Other than that, the food was mostly enjoyable. If I’m ever around the area, I’ll probably try the pork bao and the Hawaiian style fried chicken.

This place is a hidden gem. Unassuming location hidden behind a gas station, but the food is anything but. Burgers were both gigantic in portions and flavor. Saw several people digging into the more classic Asian inspired dishes as well.

Located in Strip Mall above Fred Meyer Fuel station in Totem Lake. A small eatery with about 12 -15 tables. Hawaiian Fusion Burgers, a plain Jane Cheesburger, miso salmon, or an order of Katsu Chicken. All are served in appetite satisfying portions. Burgers look hand formed and pressed. Order well done and its should fine. Burgers above the Plain will have a Hawaiian Flare and Attitude. Chop chop salad slightly overdressed though tasty with fine ham bits, cheese, tomatoes and bits of apple. Side salad comes as a side with entrees like Katsu Chicken, Miso salmon. Aloha!

Pork Belly Bao was tasty. Fries were crispy without being greasy or over salty. The various layers of salad and condiments on the burgers were good. Presentation of the food was good. Dining area was clean. But the floors were sticky :( & the burger meat was not very tasty.

My birthday meal is not complete without the Hawaiian Chicken Plate and Pork Belly Bao. They're that delish, most especially the Chop Chop Salad!

These people know how to make karaage chicken! It’s juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside and just amazing! I stumbled onto this place from the Bellevue Farmers market. They had a food truck there and the line was insane! Being curious, I just had to try it. It was around $15 for the chicken plate which comes with salad and rice. But they ran out of rice so I got fries which is what I would’ve preferred anyway! One bonus is the portion sizes are huge! I easily this into two meals and steamed my own rice to make it stretch. I would def come back for the chicken!

The staff are super friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and has great umami flavor. The dine in area is spaced out and very clean. Such a great place to dine at for a casual night out. They’re da best place for some of those most reminiscent Hawaii flavors.
