I
drove
up
to
Chicago
from
the
southwest
side
of
Indianapolis
for
Labor
Day
weekend
to
go
to
a
show.
Hotel
prices
inside
Chicago
are
ridiculous,
so
I
decided
to
book
with
Best
Western
in
Hammond,
IN
since
it
was
only
about
35
minutes
from
the
show,
and
the
price
wasn’t
nearly
as
much
as
inside
the
city
(I
paid
$180
for
a
single
person
room
with
King
bed).
I
requested
a
room
on
the
end,
and
my
request
was
met.
Check-in
was
all
okay.
Staff
were
friendly
and
informative.
They
do
have
a
$100
credit
hold
that
stays
on
your
card
until
they
check
your
room
for
damages,
and
then
it
falls
off.
I
think
this
is
fairly
standard
practice
for
most
hotels
anymore
though.
A
major
selling
point
for
me
when
I
choose
a
hotel
is
whether
or
not
they
offer
a
continental
breakfast.
I
like
to
wake
up
early
and
get
some
hot
food
first
thing
in
the
morning.
Therein
lies
my
only
complaint
with
this
hotel,
and
the
reason
I
rated
it
4
stars
instead
of
5…I
got
up
at
7:30
and
went
down
to
the
restaurant
area,
just
in
time
to
get
the
last
cold
biscuit
with
gravy,
and
some
lukewarm
potatoes
O’Brien
that
tasted
freezer
burnt
(breakfast
began
at
7,
so
it
shouldn’t
have
been
that
cold).
There
were
no
eggs
or
breakfast
meats
available,
and
hardly
any
fruit
choices.
They
had
waffle
and
pancake
makers
caked
with
burned
batter
set
out
for
guests
to
make
their
own,
but
I
was
hoping
for
some
bacon
and
eggs
or
at
least
a
banana.
Slightly
disappointing.
Overall
I
would
recommend
staying
here,
and
will
likely
stay
here
again
myself.
I
think
for
the
area,
it’s
one
of
the
nicer
hotel
choices.
