I don’t recommend it at all. Go elsewhere. Can’t believe it’s part of the Marriott brand. No matter what room is given it will have stains on furniture. Missing light bulbs dirty coffee pots and if you’re lucky it’ll still be warm 😂

there are so many wrong things about this hotel. To start with, the hotel is not even located in chicago and is a 30 mile journey to the downtown. Second of all, the hotel is not walkable at all, it is facing an intersection a the only thing that you can walk to without jaywalking is the other hotels. However, that is not the worst part, the worst part is the absolutely terrible maintenance of the rooms. As soon as I entered the room I saw a stain on the carpeted floor aswell as all furniture being dusty and musty. the sofa and the chair had multiple stains aswell. Under the working desk, I saw a pair of kids glasses and a baby sucking thing. additionally, the telephones in the room did not work and the room service took 10 minutes to deliver a set of sheets and a pillow which were not very clean either

The service was outstanding. The room was inviting, spacey and clean. Hotel offers a huge variety for breakfast. The close vicinity to Chicago is another plus.

Well, the other negative reviews all pretty much covered my experiences. I’ll just add that the folks running the hotel had the emotional skills of the average spellbound teenager and the business acumen of a tortoise on holiday, so good luck getting anything but out.

The staff are nice, but I got bitten by bed bugs. Did not see the bugs but got bites in a line on my back and abdomen. First time to see bed bugs in US for 7 years.

First, I hate complaining. I would much rather throw praise and say this place is awesome. However, outside of the bald maintenance guy being a really good and friendly human and the area being decent, the hotel was not that great. You can see in the pictures that there's just minimal effort and oversight. I expected the place to be a little less than, as I was traveling with my dog. I knew it would probably be a little older, just not filthy. I legitimately worried about my dog lying on the couch and the carpets. Thorough cleaning schedules and updates are severely overdue. Everyone is struggling for employees; my industry is no different. We would not sacrifice our brand name or image just to grab another dollar. The room did have a full-size kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and dish washer. All of those were relatively clean and in good repair. That was a huge positive!

I wouldn’t stay here again. We stayed for one night and paid $129 plus a pet fee for our 30lb dog. For that price and the Marriott name I figured we would get a comfortable stay at a good hotel. The parking lot had 4-6 containers between the road and the building, which made the lot feel tiny. The lobby had the same claustrophobic feel with boxes stacked everywhere. The furniture in the room was extremely worn (backs of the chairs had no upholstery, just bare padding in parts. The toilet was unclean and needed a wipe down. There was a small stain on the pullout mattress. The absolute icing on the cake was that the room and hall absolutely reeked of weed. Breakfast was a bunch of soggy/cold eggs, once slice of bacon and cereal but no milk. There’s plenty of other hotels in the surrounding area. Maybe those are better.

I never complain and I’ve been a Marriott member for years, but this was by far the worst Residence Inn me and my family have ever stayed in. We stayed there 4 days and 3 nights and they will never see us again. There was one young lady that worked the night shift that went above and beyond to make things right for us and I’m truly grateful for her. I even emailed the General Manager and never even got a reply back.

Overpriced at best. The rooms were dated, furniture overly worn, and the place just doesn't seem to be well maintained. Rooms were not stocked upon arrival and the included breakfast was subpar. We won't be returning.

We stayed there and that's about it. It was rated one of the better hotels it actually is more expensive the most of the hotels in the area I hate to see what they look like. They told us they're hoping to get remodeled they need it desperately. The fireplaces don't work. The kid cooking breakfast never put enough out we had to end up going out to get something to eat. The cable went off about 11. And they let the kids in several parties run up and down the hallways all night long to like 3 AM. We had a two bedroom and the toilet in one of the bedrooms will not flush without the aid of plunger. I don't know if I would stay here again even if it was remodeled. I think next time we killed most at h2 across the

"Queen" suite with a double bed. Its completely unacceptable to advertise a queen bed when its a double bed. 2 adllts are very tight in a double bed. Hit my wife in the face 2x while turning over. Property is dingy. No welcome from staff. Will look for another option next time.

Hotel old and worn. They are going to update starting this month (sign in lobby). Was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good quality but selections were not as I have seen other Residence Inns. In fact have seen better selection in most Fairfeild Inns. No info in room about activates going on (Mon and Wed event). Did not say rooms wound be made up on X days like other Residence Inns do at check-in. Good location for seeing tourist places in area.

First impressions, it’s dated and needs some remodeling. Couch and carpet are heavily stained. The pool was only accessible by request and was very cloudy. I usually give 5 stars to Residents Inn because of their family friendly layout and cleanliness. Additional comments: The beds and couch are well worn. We overpaid for what was here.

The free breakfast was good. No one ever came to clean either of my rooms during our stay. Maybe due to covid the policy has changed. If so whoever checks you in should make you aware. Also someone should have also informed us about the mixer.

Toilet didn't flush and was backed up. Found roach next to bathtub. Customer service took care of problem. Breakfast was horrid. Far from any local attractions or numerous restaurant choices (next to Cracker Barrel.

It is a nice place to stay they have lemonade in the lobby at all times but what made me give it two stars is that the pool has bugs and dirt in it most of the time

Room was dingy, dated and trashy for the price they charged. Stained carpet, stained night stands, stained lamp shades, holes in walls, burn holes in curtains, stains on walls, dented refrigerator and light in kitchen didn't work. Moldy caulk in bathrooms. Alarm clock so dirty you couldn't see the numbers.

BED BUGS DIRTY ROOMS!!!!The first room they gave me was poorly cleaned it had some kind of big seeds all over it and smelled like old moldy mop water. They moved me to another room which I noticed immediately that the dishwasher was broken. They sent maintenance who didn’t properly fix it. Later i woke up to bites on my face and arm at which point I saw the bed bugs visibly crawling on the pillows and sheets. I called the front desk which later noticed that the lock to the door wasn’t even properly working. The night staff moved me to the hotel behind it and everything was supposed to get sorted out upon management arrival the next day. I spoke to management she basically treated me as if it didn’t matter with no real resolution to the situation. They were rude and smug about the entire situation. Only offered me another room after two rooms was already disgusting. As I stood there talking to management a front desk associate had to come from behind the desk to kill a huge bug crawling on the floor. Mind you I was booked for like 9 days for work. As a result No resolution I was unable to get the regional manager’s contact information and have to travel about 100 miles for training. RUN RUN RUN!!

This place is due for a remodel, that's obvious. But that's not what this review is about. Hotel accidentally over charged me for one night. I didn't notice it for about a month, because usually if there is a night that is more expensive they'll let you know. I called, and they immediately corrected it. Like, I couldn't get a word out edgewise. Thank you mysterious manager working Sunday afternoon!

Very poor experience. I could barely work the shower because the handle kept falling off. When we first got to the room the floor was wet by the tv. Not sure where the leak was coming from but the floor leak got even bigger and had to notify the desk multiple times. And being the room was wet we’re getting bugs that attract water. It took the front desk a day to come and we killed at least 8 bugs. I would not rec recommend here.

The first time we visited the room was slightly unclean. There was urine stains on the toilet seat and dirty underwear in the closet. The staff at the front desk was really friendly and understanding and I felt listened to my concerns. The second time we stayed the room was much more clean but the front desk staff seemed to have more of an attitude. And for some reason I was charged an extra $20 as an "incidental" charge before I even set foot in the room. I wasn't charged this the first time and the front desk staff did a poor job trying to explain this to me. For the morning breakfast during our one stay all of the tables were dirty and we had to clean one before we could sit down to eat. Overall the room size was ample and did fit our needs for our family of 5.

Great hotel, nice pool area, outside grilling and hangout area, basketball court, and they'll do your laundry for you for a price. Their gym is also nice, tv attached treadmills, and free weights up to 70lbs.

It is a older property. But the staff is great. Decent breakfast. Unfortunately due to covid they still do not do a manager reception.

I'm supposed to stay here for 2 months for a local work project and I will be checking out. This is by far the worst Residence Inn I've ever stayed at. I travel a lot for work and prefer staybridge hotels but will do residence inn when that's not an option. This hotel absolutely reeks of weed and cigarette smoke. The room is dingy, stained and ripped furniture. If you expect this hotel to be typical residence inn quality? Don't expect it here. Stay away.
