This place is in a beautiful spot with very helpful staff who speak English well, helping me fill in the gaps of my patchy French. We shared a truly delicious cheese platter and a decent coffee, but the outright showstopper was the burger - a delectable beef patty loaded with pickled veg, cheese, salad and bacon. I was able to request a gluten free bun and it was hardly distinguishable from a regular bun - fluffy, but against all odds maintaining its structure through the messy eating process. Far and away the best gluten free burger I've had in my life. The waiter commented that the chef has been working on this burger recipe for the last decade, and I'd believe it. He can stop working on it now though. It's perfect.

Mind the fact that they are open from 12 to 22, but they DON'T serve meals all the time. Meal hours are from 12:00-15:00 and 18:30-22:00. In the mean time only drinks and cheese/charcuterie stuff.

Great service in cost atmosphere of old Lyon. There are few choices on the menu, but quite good dishes. The least positive part is high prices.

Not sure how this place can get 4.5 stars. Terrible food even if the clueless locals seem to enjoy it. I had the “poulpa” octopus… it was a true disaster, overcooked, tasted like liver, coated with a ridiculous amount of spices served on a bed of overcooked vegetables, all of it soaking in a puddle of oil. I wasn’t alone, everyone else also seemed to be struggling to cut the hard rubber like texture. My girlfriend had the slow cooked steak, it tasted like parmigiano cheese instead of beef. It was served with fries, all of it flooded in a sauce that tasted like old oil. There was also some sort of tomato salsa on the steak. This meal was simply nasty. I wouldn’t go back even if it was free! Seriously, this restaurant wouldn’t survive a month in Lisbon, New York, Rome, Montreal, LA, London, Sydney, etc.

We (four adults and two children) spend very nice cozy time drinking delicious coffee, fruit juices and amazing wine. The staff is super friendly, which in my opinion is extremely rare to find in the old town of Lyon. We are definitely coming back here. We have found our new favorite cosy place in old Lyon. Big thank you to the staff...👍🏻😉

Rude staff. 1) tables free everywhere. Yet, they have us moved away from the sun because they have ”reservations coming”. We were staying for literally 10 mins - just move us if/when the reservation shows up. 2) cannot accept card payment under 10 EUR - so our 2 small beers for 8 EUR were instead charged as 10 EUR. Absolutely ridiculous. Other than that, nice place

It was my first visit to Old Lyon I was alone and it was intimidating to eat in the bussing cafes full of people eating together plus it was very noisy. Just when I was hoping to find a quiet place I found the cozy corner. I ordered a very delicious beef burger. It is a quiet, calm, and cozy corner indeed.

It's a hidden gem. We got there quite late, around 9.30pm but there were still lots of people. The staff was extremely helpful, they sat us down and came with a menu in English straight away, which for us was great. The waiter was amazing, very friendly and polite, he walked us through the menu and explained everything. The food came pretty fast, and it was *delicious*. We got the octopus with vegetables, chicken needles (which were in a crust of condiments with gorgonzola sauce, pomodoro sauce, and red cabbage salad) and a desert with cookies, chocolate, caramel and mascarpone. Everything was a 10/10. I regret not taking pictures, but we were starving. I would definitely recommend it if you want a nice experience for dinner. And the prices were good for the quality of the food also.

We were wandering around Vieux Lyon and came across this place. Formule du jour - entrée et plat or plat et dessert. I elected for the former, my wife for the latter. The starter "ravioli de poissons". Well, it more of a samosa than ravioli, but, when it tastes as good as that did, what's in a name? It was served on a salad that was to die for - finely sliced fennel, pink grapefruit, lemon and lime juice, pickled red onion, spring onion and baby podded bread beans, along with some smashed avocado. Absolutely fabulous. The main was beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, more of the beans and a gravy. Again, superb. I love the French habit of bringing bread to the table. Both of my plates went back close to being clean enough to go back in the cupboard! My wife's dessert was a cheesecake which looked good and, according to her tasted as good as it looked. Accompanied by a 50cl bottle of fizzy water and 50cl of beer, total bill was only €43. Very reasonable and, were I staying in Lyon for a few more days I would be seriously tempted to go again.

This place was packed with locals when we came for lunch. Small menu but ingredients were incredibly fresh. Great deals on set menu as well (3 courses for 20 or 2 for 17). House “petit pont” wine was also quite good.

We asked a young man where to order. He said to sit and they would come take our order. We sat for what felt like forever, three different employees walked by and did not take our order. Kind of disappointed given we came for the good reviews

Awesome lunch today. Had the special which included salad, regional sausage, and chocolate cake. Everything was awesome and even the vegetables on the main were amazing. Had a great local beer (Orbit IPA) and the staff directed me (in English) to the best beer selection in town.

Food was tasty. Had the sirloin. The meat itself was very low quality. It was very stringy, difficult to chew and even to cut with the knife. The waiter reply “ we’re sorry but this can happen “. I’m sorry too but the restaurant should be able to buy better quality meat. Before ordering they describe it as 5hours cooked at 50C, think that’s a lie now. If it was cooked like that the stringy bits should turn to gelatine. The glass of wine i asked for was 6.5€, they charged 7.5€, don’t know why. Not the best place to pay around 50€ for a meal for two.

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.
