Had their morning egg benedict with bacon. Loved the sourness of the spinach which goes well with the creaminess of the benedict sauce. Flavour-wise it is mediocre— nothing impressive. But great place for a brunch place with great ambience and service! The coffees are decent, was personally amazed by their golden latte(chai with turmeric and ginger). Picolo was okay and cappuccino was better.

There was a bit of a queue, we waited about 30 mins but the pancakes were worth the wait. So good!

Everything was perfect. The coffee, the food, the dessert. Also there is a selection of gluten free cakes, bread. The service was really good and the staff is really welcoming. Would love to go back again for brunch.

The best breakfast in Lyon I've ever tried.Love the pancake with beacon, franch toast, and all the coffee they provide! They don't accept the reservation, so maybe have to wait, but totally worth it. Reasonable price, and super friendly staff.

Nice quality of food and nice environment! BUT.. bad service the waiter keep saying it’s our last day before vacation that’s why she forgot us and broke the food cold.. is the last day that’s why she didn’t come to get order on time.. whatever happened the same excuse. At the end I asked take away the pancakes she said yes but she throw it away. We just left.. is shame a nice cafe with such a poor service! Maybe after holidays will be better

So we got a table outside from a friendly waiter. Than he went inside and had a discussion with a colleague. They sent us away because we wanted to have a coffee (at first) only (after I saw a review on a blog). They only wanted to sell to people who also wanted lunch. 😤

I did my Erasmus year in Lyon so have been to Diploid several times and have been back to Lyon twice since and went here both times! A reliable and delicious brunch spot. I’ve never been disappointed and I will go here again the next time I visit Lyon! Highly recommend. There’s a cosy outdoor corner as well among the quaint Lyon style buildings which I really enjoyed brunch in on one of the occasions I visited.

The full breakfast was amazing!! The coffee was the most delicious I ever had! And kudos to the waiter for agreeing to replace my bun with salad. What is also amazing about their breakfasts is their flexibility: you can pick a vegetarian option and can have extras. Quite crowded so get there early, also one of the few locals that open early at 8 30! Glad we didn't stay at a hotel and had the opportunity to have breakfast here. Thank you for the great experience, Diploid!!

Great place for healthy food and early breakfast. They propose a lot of type of milk - lactose free, almond….. all breakfast are healthy and very tasty. They were start early, when other cafes were closed, but food is really great. But only chair and seating a little bit hard, without soft pillow :)

Cute brunch place. Super busy on weekend so make reservations! It’s trendy and cute. The chai latte was disappointing so add sugar to bring out the flavors. Food portion was small for the price. My friends weren’t quite satisfied.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The pesto toast was really greasy because of the pesto and tasted quite bland.

Accidentally ended up here after maps switched directions from our original brunch destination… man am I happy it did. The food was amazing, particularly the yogurt, Turkish eggs, and the bacon pancakes. Not too heavy either; everything was light fresh and tasty. Definitely swing by here while on the island.

Absolutely loved this place! A delightful breakfast. I got the veggie toast with an egg and it was so good. Also fresh OJ. Lots of vegetarian options.

Great coffee and great food! We had their eggs benedict with trout and halloumi and they were amazing. Definitely recommend it when you are in Lyon and looking for a quality breakfast/brunch.

Amazing cafe! Went there on a Friday morning and it was quite busy. Had a delicious banana break and a flat white! Everything was really tasty!

Overall a nice brunch place but a little crowded, which takes away a little of the coziness that the place could have. The foods were good but the drinks could be better. I had a chai latte that tasted like pretty plain cinnamon milk. I liked that they have meat as well as vegetarian and vegan or gluten-free options, so it's nice for groups to accommodate different dietary restrictions.

What a great find in Lyon! This place not only serves delicious food and a great selection of coffee brews but they are open on Sunday and they open at 8.30am! Absolute must visit when you are in Lyon and looking for great breakfast /brunch meals and friendly service.

We stumbled upon this after seeing the queue for the popular place next door. This place was lovely and the food all has a pink twist. I had the French toast with pistachio that was very indulgent but brilliant. My partner had the 62 degree eggs which he enjoyed but in my opinion were undercooked. Friendly service

Superb café: I love the concept of the place. It's a very cool and laid-back coffee place in Lyon old town with good music. It offers a variety of drinks and dishes you would typically have for brunch. Everything is done exquisitely and the cakes are scrumptious. The coffees and teas are delicious too. I'll be back.

I think we haven't had good luck choosing the shakshoca dish.. Although, I loved the interiors ✨️

My favorite brunch place in Lyon. Great food, coffee, service and prices. I highly recommend it. The room in the back to the right has a nice ambiance.

It’s a very good place in Lyon for brunch. Everything on their menu has it’s vegetarian version available. Ambiance is very soothing, staff is very helpful (plus point they do converse in English). Usually there’s a queue to get into but waiting time doesn’t take more than 10mins. We tried veggie toast, egg benedict with halloumi, fried eggs that came with salad on side, filter coffee and chai tea latté. The portion size seems small but it keeps stomach full for a while. Chai tea latté has this powder mix which was bit strong after stirring. It’s 5min walk from hotêl de ville. I would go again to try their pancakes range. A must visit ☺️

I strongly recommend it. Very nice staff and good, healthy food. They were very attentive with my food allergies and I appreciated a lot. They also have a nice terrace to enjoy.

While walking around Lyon we stumbled upon this lovely cafe on the north end Bellcour. The staff we extremely pleasant and serious about their coffee. The barista made us a V60 of a mild roast they had brought from a roaster in Sweden. It was a taste from heaven. They also have a selection of cheesecakes, we chose the pecan cheesecake which was very moreish!

Nice spot for a late morning breakfast or brunch. No wait at 11am on a sunny Friday morning in March. I had basic fried eggs with bacon and toast and it did not toast. The option for a bottomless cup of filter coffee with food is a nice touch, as was the brownie for dessert.

The halloumi vegetarian toast has to be one of my favorite breakfast vegetarian meals I’ve ever had and I’m not even a vegetarian. They also have charcoal lattes but we’re out of them when we went. We tried to go back the next day, but they were so busy, they weren’t taking anyone without a reservation. I guess the secrets out and others know just how good it is! I suggest going early or making a reservation.

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.
