Unfortunately I did not get to eat the food here, as I had a reservation that I made online through their site for, apparently, AFTER they were closed. When I arrived I was told they were closed and that they wouldn't serve me. I told them I understand, given most French restaurants have this same type of hours. I simply wanted to tell them that their online site allows for reservations after they are closed, and that for the future they should change that, but I was repeatedly told it's impossible even though I had the reservation right there both in their book and on my phone. I simply wanted to let them know about this issue and was met with the exact opposite of what I would hope to get at any restaurant. If they had simply been polite about it and listened to what I was trying to let them know about an issue with their own business, I wouldn't have had an issue with being denied service.

Great restaurant deserves to earn their qualifications for a bouchon lyonnais!! The food are traditional and very regions but it is why we come here for!! Their porch egg and beef tongue are the must tries!! Highly recommended!!

Amazing food and service (: We did not understand french and the waitress so patiently translated everything on the menu for us. Extremely glad we chose to dine here for an authentic lyon food experience. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Lyon

This place lies about hours. Don’t reserve because they just lie about reservation times and don’t really care.

Amazing French food, friendly service, and the fact that we speak very little French was not a problem! A must while in Lyon.

Very friendly people and great food. The staff works hard and the place gets busy, so plan accordingly. I did get a chance to chat with a server about Lyonnais food and he was very informative and friendly. The staff is very graceful. I recommend this place.

The meal was ok, but the price was inflated! I won't come back again! 82€ for two dishes for 2 people, with coffee and one glass of wine? Come on.

We had a horrible experience. The owner was really racist with us. We where with a little 5 years old Girld and with my diabetic aunt and they trhow us away without any explanation...

Fantastic food, highly recommend. We had bone marrow, pike quenelles/veal liver and crème brulee/homemade ice cream with grappa and some really good wines. It also came with some chicharrons and sliced cured meats. Will go back when we return next year!

Old school bouchon in the heart of the bohemian 1st arrondissement. Escargots in pumpkin veloute and quenelle were on point. Service was charming. Perfect bouchon experience

I did not find anything special. The waitresses are a bit rushed. I took a veal pate with crayfish sauce it was not bad but cold. Main course a beef with red wine sauce not very tender......Baba au rhum was good Well not my best experience unfortunately . I try the quenelle and I also did not like it ( but maybe not my taste) And honestly not the best gratin dauphinois

Quenelles and a trip back in time to Maigret or Hercule Poirot. Chatty, dynamic service. Very "gustative" local dishes. Good traditional, Lyonnais cuisine.

Good traditional setting with nice, rich, flavoursome local recipes. Definitely recommend for those visiting for a true taste of Lyon.

I've tried at the La Tete de Lard the herb roasted bone marrow a simple dish served with toasted bread with a portion of salt all local ingredients. What an experience being for the first time in Lyon, France the capital of gastronomy!

Lovely restaurant with amazing food and wine. The host was very friendly despite we don’t speak French. Bone marrow was delicious.

Traditional "bouchon lyonnais", as certified by the documentation at the entrance. The service was impecable, the waiter was charming, and the food was surprisingly good. Bread was excellent, as per usual in France, and the house wine terrific. Highly recommended!
