Now this place was insane. First time having this level of gastronomic experience, very pleasant. We had a reservation at 7 pm, the other seating area at the restaurant was empty but one of the main rooms were full. We got our drinks, I got a limonade and my girlfriend got a red wine. Then was the appetizer, Oeuf Meurette, poached egg into red wine sauce. This was a nice entry into the long meal. Next came the sharing starters: Salade Lyonnaise, Caviar de la Croix Rousse (caviar of lentils) and Saucisson Chaud Brioche (pistachio brioche hot sausage). My favorite was the Salade Lyonnaise, so much pork and croutons but I liked it like that. Then was the hot dish. I chose Andouillette “Braillon” Moutard A L’Ancienne (Andouillette “Braillon” with Old Style Mustard). To be honest this was not my type of dish but I’m glad I tried it. My girlfriend got the Civet de Joues De Porc (Stew of Pork Cheeks). This also I’m glad I tried but might not eat it again. Then was the dinner intermission, Trou Lyonnais. This was so refreshing and got me ready for the next round which was the cheese round. We got both Saint Marcellin and Cervelle Des Canutes. I enjoyed the Cervelle. Lastly for dessert I got the Poire Pouchee Au Vin Rogue (Poached Pear into red wine sauce) and partner got the Tarte Aux Pralines (Praline tart). Overall amazing dinner, experience was the first time I’ve ever done something like this… incredible.

One fixed menu for all, not possible to order just the main dish. I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and quantity of the food. My personal favorite in Lyon so far. Some people might feel the waitresses were not so polite, but I think they're just being authentic.

One of the best lunches I've had in France, glad we stumbled upon it. Food isn't fancy, but perfectly executed and seasoned. Classic Lyonnaise dishes. €34pp for the fix prixe, was very full and very happy.

A little sad because the quenelles we had here tonight will define the dish for us, and I don't expect we'll have better for a very long time. Perfect light but substantive consistency, with a lobster sauce that was savory, but not too salty so that every bite was perfectly balanced until nothing was left. The menu included also a silky poached egg in wine sauce, crisp salad lyonnaise with a delicate mustard and mayonnaise to balance the lardons, lentils with red onions, and a sausage in brioche served with wine sauce. Oh, and a cheese course (including a light, almost pickled herring flavored cervelles des canuts). And a dessert course! La tarte aux pralines and ouefs à la neige were the standouts. All served with attentive but not overbearing attention from the staff. 11/10. One of the best meals of my life.

If you are looking for authentic Lyonnaise and French food, here is the place. It is an old restaurant with local food. Service is not that good. The restaurant is not fancy but you will enjoy most of their food. Classic decorations from the inside. Usually it is busy.

Best bouchon in Lyon ! This authentic and very generous local food is a must. What a feast 🤤 ! The restaurant is located downtown and more than 150 years old… such an atmosphere 🐷 You definitely need to book a table. The restaurant has an app on their socials 🤓

My partner and I dined here last night and we didn’t expect to be fed so well. Was a great experience trying traditional lyonnaise cuisine. Felt like going to your grandmothers for a hearty meal. Really loved the pork cheek stew was so rich but tender. The pear sorbet was a lovely refreshing intermission and was super super tasty. I got the poached pear in red wine sauce for dessert whilst my partner for the praline tart and they were simple and delicious. Would come again gladly. Do recommend !!

Very traditional Lyonnaise restaurant and food. This place came recommended, and it did not disappoint. When a queue is forming outside before a place opens you have high hopes. We had an appetiser of poached egg in a red wine sauce. We'd never had this before, and this was a treat. Rich and unctuous. Next were three traditional Lyonnaise starters. A Salad Lyonnaise, hot sausage with red wine sauce and brioche, and lentil caviar. All superb. Though one or two things were maybe not to our taste, we can't question both their local provenance and quality. On the whole, they were very special indeed. For main course, we had Pork Cheek Stew and Hot Sausage with Steamed Potato and a red wine sauce. Both were very enjoyable. Next was a Pear Sorbet with Cassis. This was unbelievably good. Then came.the cheese. Local Can't cheese with chive and garlic, and St Marcellin. Both excellent. Finally dessert was Chocolate Mousse and Praline Tart. Both very good, though the Praline was divine! Service was efficient, friendly and faultless. We highly recommend.

The location is very nice. Aged but well maintained so you feel you are in a genuine place and it clean The food is good, we could only have a set menu and it was very good. Starters very good with good portions. Main courses were all good L, again, generous portions The staff a very friendly and smiling although the were rushing a lot to keep the pace. Overall a very nice experience, recommended

Great place. If you don’t speak French but still want to have a true bouchon experience then this place is for you. Staff super friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and great atmosphere.

This was the most authentic restaurant of our three day city trip to Lyon. Love the small casual vibe of the place. A simple menu - very affordable- with simple but really well made dishes. For 29 euros we got a great appetizer, charcuterie with a salad, a lovely main dish (pork cheeks) and then both cheese and desert. All very well made and very French. Loved it.

We had a delicious lunch here. We had the pork cheeks and the Lyon salad followed by a chocolate mousse. Food was really good and staff was very friendly. I highly recommend!

Wow! The bouchon of my dreams. The restaurant itself is like stepping back into 19th century Lyon. Real "wow" factor. The food is expertly prepared. The lunch and dinners are formule with a starter of eggs poached in red wine. I didn't think I'd like it but it was fantastic. Your first course is an aparteger of salad, Croix Rousse caviar (lentils) and delicious sausage. You can choose your main from a selection of traditional bouchon cuisine, but I highly recommend the quenelle -- the crayfish sauce is insanely good. Order lots of wine, you'll want to spend the entire evening there. The wait staff is wonderful and know (and are proud of) their food.

Very authentic Lyonnaise Bouchon Restaurant. Not touristic at all. The highly rated wine goes very well with it! Always again!! The kids loved it too.

Possibly the worst restaurant in Lyon. The tripe which is supposed to be deep fried and crispy came out saggy. It was like it was taken out of the freezer and defrosted in the microwave. The sausage with pistachio was tasteless. We left more than half of our plates untouched. The waiter was indifferent. We felt very cheated as this place was recommended by several people and outlets.

authentic cuisine from Lyon, tasty but quite small portions though. Great selection of wines from Rhône region, very nice and professional waiter. I recommend

Absolutely fabulous! But you'd better bring a serious appetite. This is real Lyonnaise food, cooked to perfection, served promptly, in a wonderful atmosphere, and at a very reasonable price. I have not eaten better food in Lyon.

One of the best bouchons in Lyon. True classic, not super fancy. Get the set menu and definitely check out the art in the bathroom.

Fixed menus of well executed Lyonnaise classics at reasonable prices. The service was impeccable - our quirky waiter even switched to English to accommodate our dietary restrictions and warned us against filling up on bread. We were almost too stuffed by the time the desserts arrived. Reservations online highly advised - place was full by 8pm on a warm summer night.

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.
