We wanted to try a traditional Bouchon of Lyon and we’re not disappointed! This place was a great experience, the food was beautifully traditional and the staff was friendly and pretty impressive knowing that there was only one server for the whole restaurant (around 40seats). Would recommend it for your Bouchon experience but keep in mind that it’s traditional and that they will not make any effort to accommodate your particular taste!

Very unique dining experience. Small but cozy. We shared table with other guests and had the set menu with 4 cold dish, main dish and dessert. The main dish are very traditional Lyon style food.

Very nice place to enjoy typical Lyonesse cuisine just as it is been cooked and served in a traditional Bouchon. Be aware, it's a little bit extensive, and u must reserve in advance

Had a great time! Staff are super friendly and accommodating, food is great and the atmosphere nice and cosy. I’m not a people’s person and like my space, so sitting at a table and sharing food was a bit out of my comfort zone but I enjoyed it.

Don’t come here if you’re uncomfortable sitting close to strangers with whom you share plates of fantastic traditional appetizers and dessert like extended family you haven’t met in years. Do come here if you like to eat food the locals love, like the tender braised ox tongue with a fabulous shallots/capers sauce I had or the andouille sausage with creamy mustard sauce my husband had. Don’t come if you have dietary restrictions you get what you get the Lyonnaise way and in big portions! For a $22.5 euro lunch you scoop whatever you want from 5 cold yummy charcuterie items in big bowls, a hot main of your choice, soft cheese of your choice, and scoop your own dessert from shared plates. I took half my main home and we won’t be having dinner tonight. Service was friendly and fast too. Make a reservation and go!

Small cosy bouchon. This is a proper certified bouchon. Feels like a genuine french restaurant. Everyone except us were french. They can speak English here. The food was good hearty food of average quality. But the experience was great. Staff were really friendly. After 5 courses your really stuffed. I'd recommend at least once.

Horrible. I hope we will move from here as fast as it is possible. No matter what day of the week. It is more or less noisy. It is 11 pm and noone cares... 🤬

Very tasty food, very nice staff. Confirm prices at dinner, can be confusing. Overall, highly recommend!

The most bouchony-bouchon that I've visited so far. Shared tables and bowls of food with other guests was a fun experience, though I got a little nervous around some coughing kids. The food was fantastic and friendly staff was able to help us navigate our order without a shared language.

It’s certainly very traditional. This is the authentic old Lyonnaise experience. Our vegetable starters were interesting but the main courses? WOW. The flavour blew our minds.

I had an terrible experience with this restaurant recently. The personnel at the establishment were uncooperative and exhibited extremely rude behavior. Upon our arrival, before my husband was even able to say we had a reservation, the man working in the front shook his head and said "No." My husband politely proceeded to tell him we had a reservation and the staff member raised his voice to us saying "No" while yelling other words in french. Even after presenting a screenshot of our online reservation, the staff persisted in not honoring it, stating that the reservation was not in their system, even though I made the reservation two days prior and he had the photo proof right in front of him. While I acknowledge the possibility of a system error, the refusal to accommodate us in light of the evidence presented, coupled with the perceived abundance of available seating, raises concerns. The experience felt personally directed, and I cannot discount the possibility of bias, given the assertion that the reservation was not recognized despite concrete proof. Either way, none of this excuses the mans appalling behavior. The overall experience was both disappointing and unacceptable. You would think a highly rated establishment, such as this place, would maintain a level of professionalism and hospitality expected in the service industry. Tourist be warned. If you are considering eating here, I highly recommend you try Chez Grand-Mere instead. It's also a highly rated classic Lyonnaise restaurant with great atmosphere and service.

We had a fantastic dinner at Chez Paul!! It was amazing to see Mr Paul at work. We had some salads which were “immangiabili” which in Italian means “so good”. The meat was amazing! You could use it as an hammer if you need one. But the best part of the dinner was the “vomitino” dessert, AMAZING! Also I recommend to have a digestive at the end of the tasting, very cheap and pleasant.

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.

👍👍 I think this was one of the most beautiful restrooms I’ve ever been to. Of course, I ordered one of their juices to go.
