Café Perl

Restaurant Bar Brewery

👍👍 We stayed in a hotel next door to Cafe Perl and spent a lot of time there. It is open from breakfast right through to 1am so attracts people throughout the day, nicely lit at night. Huge outdoor area plus large indoor space. Good range of food and drinks plus very popular desert list. I'd recommend... People often mention recommend,

We stayed in a hotel next door to Cafe Perl and spent a lot of time there. It is open from breakfast right through to 1am so attracts people throughout the day, nicely lit at night. Huge outdoor area plus large indoor space. Good range of food and drinks plus very popular desert list. I'd recommend the goats cheese salad which is huge, plus the omelette which was well cooked. Staff were all fantastic and they have an English menu.

Asking 50 cents for a slice of lemon in a coke that already costs 4.5 euros is a disgrace… especially when we didn’t even ask for it. there is no excuse to be so greedy…

Honestly, we thought it would be just a tourist trap, it’s even located right next to a hotel… well, we were wrong. Luisa is the sweetest server, very competent, kind and warm. I’m a vegetarian and a weirdo when it comes to food, so I basically asked them to “ruin” the croque monsieur by removing the ham and replacing the cream for butter, which they happily did (and honestly, it’s so much better - sorry, French people). My husband ordered a boeuf tartare for the first time because it wasn’t 100% raw, they grilled slightly the external part of it and he loved it. Great experience, we recommend. Thank you again Luisa for your kindness 💛

their prices are in the Lyon average, i love this hamburger and the meat is cooked just right, their fries are delicious too!! I like their garden, it's even more beautiful when the cherry blossoms bloom ✨

Slow service. The food, though good, is a bit pricey for what you get. The interior decorations are weird, and not an intentional, pleasing, eclectic weird. But the food was good.

I give it three stars because the server is good, with great wine recommendations. For the food, maybe two stars? Carpaccio was okay. Foie gras is a bitter and cold disappointment. It was a convenient choice, but I won't recommend it.

I’ve been a regular costumer, and the waiter last night was extremely rude and unprofessional. He came to take our order and we told him we’re waiting for someone. 10-15mins the person we were waiting for came and the waiter came again to take our order, one of us ordered and the rest was checking the menu in front of him, we asked him for a minute, and he aggressively he kicked us out claiming that it’s our fault. We tried to talk to him, he was very rude and disrespectful. He insisted that he won’t serve our table and that we needed to get out. I’ve never seen a restaurant that disrespectful towards its clients. Very unprofessional and unqualified waiters, would recommend changing your staff before loosing all your regular customers.

It's always a pleasure to come here. The waiters are amazing, very courteous, and respectful. I recommend this café. The hot chocolate is ok, and the chocolat vénissieu as well.

This afternoon we order pineapple juice and cafe and I have a small pain raisin in my bag and try to finish to eat that..The waiter saw it and told to us not to eat the pain raisin in my hands..My husband didn’t like what he said and he told to waiter what do you want to throw it in the floor..Mal educated that thin white guy waiter you need to go back to school to know and study the proper way of saying as a server and to know how to treat your customer in a nice way..Never again on this place

Just ordered the moules, they we’re dry, cold and overcooked. Really not edible so sent them back however we were still charged for them as apparently there was nothing he could do about it. Unbelievable!

It was a horrible experience. We went there to have dinner and were kicked out because we wanted 5 minutes to look at the menu.

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.
