Sœur Jeanne Jugan Garden

City park

👍 Nice little park with some very beautiful trees. Convenient for cutting towards the station or waiting for a connection. Be careful though: it is often closed at night on the station side, and there is now also a gate on the Avenue Pompidou side, so don't count on it too much early in the morning. People often mention park,

It doesn't stand out especially compared to parks in other big cities, but it's nice to be in a place like this in the middle of the noise and automobile and real estate barbarity of the center of Lyon. More benches, more trees and a drinking water source would not hurt. Benches, rest and relaxation areas, drinking water fountains, public urinals and shade are the essential features of any city that prides itself on being hospitable. Lyon has its charms, but it does not have these characteristics.

I really like this little park which is located near the Lyon Part-Dieu bus station, Villette exit. A green lung, shaded with games for children, lots of benches to sit on. It is possible to sit on the grass. I very often wait there for my train, I get some fresh air. It's very nice. This is my “Summer Days Living Room!”

I took a tour of it last Sunday. No maintenance of any kind, empty bottles, cans, cigarette butts, dirty papers everywhere... In fact flowerbeds, weeds and nettles. A wasteland rather than a park. What a waste for a location like that! It was well worth expropriating the Little Sisters of the Poor, whose garden was perhaps not public but was maintained.

The great interest of this park is the presence of the pyracorde. So of course it is too small, the intervals are too tight, it does not rise high enough, and it is too secure. But unfortunately, that’s where nothing is these days 😞

(Translated by Google) Always squatted. Bottle and pieces of glass. Dog and human droppings ... too bad, nice structures for children but not reliable for the ride. (Original) Toujours squatté. Bouteille et bouts de verre. Crottes de chiens et humains... dommage, jolies structures pour les enfants mais pas fiable pour le tour.

There is no more room to play, the paradox - new trees all over the place in a mess?!

C'est un parc sympathique mais un peu vieillot au niveau des trop rares jeux d'enfants

(Translated by Google) FYI the park is called PARC DES PETITES SŒURS not park Jeanne Jugan! (Original) Pour info le parc s’appelle le PARC DES PETITES SŒURS pas parc Jeanne Jugan !

Parc sale et mal fréquenté. Dommage parce que les enfants aiment bien les structures.

Very, very poorly frequented and very dirty, a cell phone was stolen at the entrance to the square, invaded by tiger mosquitoes in the summer, unmaintained vegetation. We don't dare take our children there... Would deserve a karcher

😐 Beautiful place, full of stories!! It could be even more beautiful if it were better planted... especially with a Town Hall calling itself an ecologist 🤔
