La Cabane

Restaurant Down home cooking restaurant

😠 I won't recommend La Cabane for any Asian background customers. As I visited the restrant two times, the first time, I was with lots of Americans, the food and the service were excellent. However, I visted there by myself on Wednesday, the food and service are really bad. The Mussel was in very bad... People often mention good, service,

I won't recommend La Cabane for any Asian background customers. As I visited the restrant two times, the first time, I was with lots of Americans, the food and the service were excellent. However, I visted there by myself on Wednesday, the food and service are really bad. The Mussel was in very bad quality, every dish was smaller than the first time. ~~ An Asian customer's experience

The service is fantastic, great friendly girl took care of us and spoke good English. Atmosphere very good too. The food was ok. I mean look, mussels are mussels. I would have liked more fries with my portion. The mussels sauce was decent but I've definitely had better, especially in Bordeaux. There were too many shells in our bowls that didn't open up so that's a mark down too. The food is fine, just not noteworthy.

Nice place to have lunch with cozy interior. We ordered tartar and salade lyonnaise, everything was yummy. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly.

Horrible service, the waiter was extremely rude. We wanted to get a table for 4 people, we were 3 and our friend was arriving in 5 minutes. The waiter did not wanted us to stay inside, she asked us to go out of the place. Very disrespectful and disappointing. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Pretty good place, but unfortunately the first fries were brought quite Soft and moist. I had to ask for a normal crispy one. there are a lot of burnt croutons in the salad that ruined the taste. The only thing that saved the situation a little was the polite and attentive staff. and tasty beer.

Appalling service. Food looked great but they decided, for whatever reason, to not bring our order. After 30 minutes we asked, got a surly response ‘the restaurant is full’, and no further updates. Eventually paid for our water and left. Staff running around like mad bulls, customers must leap out of their way. All about the product, no apparent care for the people eating. If you really like the look of this food, suggest takeaway.

Good service. Good prices. The tartine was slightly burnt on the bottom though.

The dishes are okay, atmosphere great, but the distance in between each seat and table is very narrow.

Nice rustic environment... fast and efficient service. We come here for the mussels / mules frites.. Nice house wine - St Joseph.. if you are looking for something different in Lyon and especially mules frites this is the place to go. Highly recomend also the fish and chips, tartare and the burgers..

Not a lot of options that do not involve bread or French fried. The food and serving were good and the local. Had a nice touch, nothing outstandable tho.

We tried the mussels, the cheese platter, the amandes pie and the steak. All good, except for the steak which was a little bit too fatty. I know it s entrecote, but it was not a very well chosen piece of meat. The rose house wine was great also! Nice atmosfere!

Good food, not fussy, fair prices. Service was not attentive - hard to get a second drink.

The entrecote stake was really good, and so was the salamon tartare . The server did his best with the english and was nice. I wish they had options for the food besides fries, If there is, it wasn't explained to us. The prices are resealable.

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.
