Tres magnifique! We got to enjoy an excellent 3 course menu in this lovely restaurant. Every course was absolutely delicious and worth every cent. 🤤

Dishes are made with local and seasonal ingredients, and so the menu is often updated (they said every week). I went there twice, with two other friends, and tried only new flavors and discovered products of this region. It is possible to have the side dishes to share and so at the end I tried about 15-20 different dishes in total, and it was good! The atmosphere is cozy/family/authentic, the waiters are glad to explain what they are bringing in the dishes. I will go there a third time for sure!

This was an incredible restaurant meal. It was both traditional with unexpected elements. Truly a hidden gem. In a place where great meals are a norm, this was noteworthy. Go visit.

If there is a better restaurant in Lyon, I hope I never find it, because it would surely make my head explode. Tucked away in a quiet unassuming street in Old Lyon, it’s the perfect setting if you need a bit of relief from the sensory overload that is the center of Lyon. The waiter is super nice, and it has what is objectively the best name of any restaurant ever. I will not attempt to describe the food because my vocabulary is not up to it.

This little place is a gem of a find! The food is beautifully prepared with so many incredible flavors, locally sourced and beautifully presented by the most attentive and friendly server and co-owner - thank you Blent! He even translated the menu from French to English for us and recommended the perfect bottle of wine! We felt very welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend La Monstrueuse!

Really nice waiter and the Caviar de courgettes was amazing. A bit off the Main Street which was nice. A peaceful little enclave and the decor inside was nicely rustic although I sat outside.

Perfect little out of the tourist area restaurant with excellent service and one of the most creative menus we’ve seen on our 7 week tour. The chef-suggested couchette with pulled pork was incredible with the most amazing mix of flavors. The server suggested a very reasonably priced local Shiraz that went perfectly with our meal. I would highly recommend La Monstrueuse.

Delicious menu! Excellent service!

We came to the restaurant based on the reviews and anticipated a wonderful dinner. The food was poorly prepared; at best tepid in temperature; harried server; rushed service. We needed the restaurant to call a taxi and the server refused. This was the absolute worst restaurant experience we have ever encountered.

This place was really nice, the waiter was very friendly and the food was very different, original and successful nailed the different flavors per bite. The food is influenced by many different styles and cultures which made it an interesting experience and fun to eat. 100% recommend if you want something new and original. Amazing all around👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
