We joined Blackpool Heritage trams at Pleasure Beach for a vintage tram ride through the Illumination display. Our tram was the wonderfully restored Western Train. Staff where friendly and polite showing us to our allocated seat which we chose when booking. The tram was clean and well lite to afford great views of the illuminations as we trundled the length of the promenade in both directions. A great way to experience the atmosphere of Blackpool. Definitely worth booking.

Absolutely wonderful tour of the Rigby Road depot which was amazing value for money. Our tour guides, Bob and Carol, were not only enthusiastic and passionate people but they were also funny as well. The time absolutely flew by unfortunately, yet it was a very immersive experience which I would strongly recommend to other visitors. The little shop at the end was brilliant as well, some unusual items. 5/5 rating all day long, loved it.

Really enjoyed the special Western Train heritage tour on the May Bank holiday weekend. We knew we were wanting to do a tram tour and we’re spoilt for choice with different times and types of tour. The spoken guide from the conductor was really informative albeit a little sad that they seem to get so little financial help from local or National government to keep this important bit of history going. Hats off to the staff who all volunteer their time and expertise to coax these stalwart machines along their tracks.

A lovely trip from Paul and Gordon aboard the Bolton Corporation 66! A great way to see the sights on a tram that’s over 100 years old.

This was a wonderful treat for a family of three with a dog. The trams are beautiful and a joy to travel on. Easy to book online and the total cost was cheaper than a Pleasure Beach ticket for one. The coastal tour takes you from Blackpool north pier along the coast to Fleetwood. It was a fabulous journey with our conductor, Peter, telling us about the stops and future events. You can book a upper deck seat which we did, but the stairs are steep, so if you have mobility issues, consider sitting downstairs. Dog friendly, nice friendly team running the trams, would recommend to any Blackpool visitors. Be warned though, Fleetwood doesn't have much for teeny tots, so better for grumpy teens, since my one loved it.

My friend and I went on an Illumination Tour (boarding the boat): tickets cost £10 each. Make sure to be at the tram stop in time! It started near the Pleasure Beach- as you approach the road, you should be able to see the lit-up tram. There were lots of excitable children which was to be expected, but parents could have told them to give their noisy, light-up wands a rest. The tour lasted around an hour. There was a little bit of commentary from a ‘conductor’ with a microphone, although those at the back had no chance of hearing and he mainly tried to sell merchandise. The windows were wide enough to get decent views of the illuminations. When it reaches the end and heads back towards the promenade, you can then get off near the Tower or stay on and alight back at the beginning.

Lovely nostalgic heritage tram tour. As adults who always loved seeing the light up trams as children, we were as excited as our nephew to get on board. The staff were very helpful, efficient getting us all on board and informative. As volunteers it shows their dedication to keeping this hidden gem alight. We will now book this as an annual treat on our yearly visit to blackpool as a family. Well done!

We recently did a trip on HMS Blackpool, it was fantastic. The tram was clean, warm and the seats were spacious. The staff were lovely and super friendly to everyone. Great experience.

We decided to take a nostalgic trip to the Pleasure Beach on this delightful open top tram on a gorgeous sunny day in September. It was £4 each way, which was worth it as the ride was comfortable with amazing views and the perfect way to travel on a hot day as the electric trams were packed and stuffy.

Not mamy town can be proud of DOUBLE DECKER trams! 🚋 Blackpool has it all in crazy amount of varieties! Great experience to have Heritage Coastal Tour up to Fleetwood and back! The Best to go on September's BLACKPOOL ILLUMINATION! 🎆

The coastal tram tour was lovely. I would say getting off at Fleetwood was disappointing as there was not much to do we were hoping to have a nice coffee and cake however there wasn’t much choice to this. Also noticed a lot of shops closed at 4pm and we got there just before 4. I would say a bit more history about Blackpool and the trams would be nice as well.

Did a coastal tour couple of weekends ago. The tour was not expensive, worth a try for sightseeing. There was no guided tour though so we were really just enjoying the view. Would have loved a bit of historical discussions. Advanced tickets not really a must. It was free seating and we didn’t get the best seats though we booked and others just walked-in

Been visiting since I was young and riding the heritage trams is always a must. Lovely knowledgable staff and a great way to enjoy the illuminations. We most recently enjoyed a round trip of an hour on the illuminated tram from Pleasure Beach. Would recommend pre booking as tours are busy.

A last minute booking so we could only get a late tram 9-10pm. A good way to see all of the lights non stop (almost). We are pleased we done it, something the kids will remember.

If you can do this tour do it 100% this is an absolutely amazing experience. The tram has been running from the 1930s and runs the length of the sea front. There is also another opportunity to visit the tram sheds too that I would recommend.

This is an absolute MUST for any transport and transit nerds; or locals who have fond memories of what is now the heritage fleet, roaming the prom in regular service. It's a genuinely unique place. There are plenty of heritage tramways with early C20 trams but the collection of postwar and mid C20 trams is unrivalled. The staff are enthusiasts and knowledgeable and it' great to hear what the plans are for a world class museum. If they get the go ahead you wont get a chance to see the sheds as they are now so go soon!

Would really recommend doing an Heritage Tram tour when in Blackpool. I have done a few different tours while in Blackpool the staff (Volunteers) are all really nice and helpful. An Heritage Tram tour is a great way to see Blackpool. I would recommend booking online before as the Trams can get busy. We all had a great time on board!!!

Excellent tour of the Rigby road depot. Highly emjoyed being shown around by Bob & Carol and hearing the stories about some of the trams and their heritage and the repairs and ongoing work. Honestly, you prob think it sounds dull but it's really not, it was great fun and would def recommend this to anyone with even a vague interest to know a little more.

We came this morning to do the heritage tram tour and it was brilliant! There is so much of Blackpool's history being brought back to life here and I think the tours are a vital part in keeping it alive. If you do anything with your stay in Blackpool please visit this tour. The old trams are restored and everything is salvaged and recycled and it’s all done by volunteers. Carol and Bob are lovely too we really enjoyed it and will be back to do it again thank you so much
