The Ashton Gardens are a jewel by the seaside, with majestic architecture , beautifully cared for gardens, 2 separate children’s play areas, and in August hosts the st Anne’s festival that brings live music for free. There Is an open mic night on Wednesday every 2 weeks that brings people from different backgrounds together. Parking is tricky though so be careful not to get a ticket on the surrounding area. Maybe go for a little shop in the nearby Sainsbury’s before going in the park 😉

Still the place I remember of my childhood well kept and peaceful. My only complaint is that they did away with the the hothouse it was a really nice way to discover plants 🪴 and was very popular.

Very nice walk and lots of beaches to sit on. Great play area for parents with children. Also has a bowling green. There's also a pond with ducks so Great if you have kids to feed them. Very well maintained throughout the park.

Lovely park off the beaten track and set back from the main high street. Short walk from the train station and there's also a multi storey car park nearby, as well as on street parking and limited disabled spaces near one of the main gates. Highlight is definitely the pavilion, where you can grab a bite to eat and a drink when it's hot.

Beautiful place to have a rest and a short walk. Take your kids here if the wind gets too strong on the beach that will compensate the weather. Public toilets (take some change with you) available and fairly clean. Playground for kids in really nice shape too. Very happy with today visit

Nice gardens although a little municipal and lacking on interesting plants and trees. Good cafe and children's play area . Good for a couple of hours relaxation .

Lovely gardens, very well maintained and no rubbish in sight. Grass is freshly cut, no weeds in sight! There are 2 bridges, which give a lovely deep Forrest type feel. A huge pond with ducks fish and swans. Often people feeding them so always in sight. Lovely flower garden with a fountain on display. Parks for older kids and a separate park for toddlers. A bowling green and seats beside so you can watch a bit of sport in the sun. A handy cafe with toliets also at the entrance. Overall, well worth a visit, easy to spend a few hours here enjoying the sun and views whilst having a picnic

There were four in this party, I don't know what my in-laws had as they only eat grass and other vegetables. My wife had a sausage sandwich and I had bacon on white bread. Both our sandwiches were excellent. We will come here again, but when it's less noisy. I think the children were on school half term.

Beautiful park with a war memorial, pavilion, extensive playground and well maintained flower beds. Looks like there’s a bowling green too! Copious dogs. Seagull noises as standard. Sunny and warm when we went but your mileage may vary. Park entrance is just opposite the Hy Hotel. The 11, 68 and 68C buses will get you here with a bus stop on the south west side of the park.

Lovely park - beautiful rose garden. We went on a hot day and the scent was wonderful. The water garden was great with all the wildlife and not a bad sandwich at the Pavilion Cafe either!

It's a great place for some downtime. At the moment, the master gardeners are preparing the flower beds ready for the new blooms they set down. Fabulous water lakes, resident Heron feeding. There is so much to see and the children's play area for families. Great, feel good place. A must visit.

Lovely park with plenty seating to enjoy the well kept rose garden or lake views. Great little cafe there too along with a fab children's play area! Only negative for me is that some people let their dogs off leads even though there are signs clearly stating that this is forbidden! Makes it hard for me to walk with my anxious dog when other dogs come tearing up to him and owners don't call them back!

A lovely park to visit. There's a great play area for the children and a little playground for babies and toddlers. It has some beautiful gardens to walk round or just sit and enjoy the peace. There's a zone for football and skate boarding although it's not a very big area but it's still great for the older ones to chill out in. If you like feeding the ducks and pigeons then there's a delightful pond with a bridge and a water fall. It's a lovely place to sit in the sunshine and relax. There is plenty of wildlife going on to watch too . There's also a bowling green which often has bowling matches on to sit and watch An overall great afternoon or day out. You could take a picnic or visit the pavilion Cafe which is at the front entrance of the park. The food is fantastic or just enjoy a cold drink / coffee.

Beautiful surroundings and great for a change to the beach and for a nice stroll with my dog. It's nice to see different flowers starting to bloom, and best if all its on our doorstep!!
