Visited for the first time during the reopening ceremony. Plenty of free parking, really accessible and the grounds are huge. Wide open spaces make it great for picnics! Didn't go inside the house due to busyness but would love to again. Sensory garden was small, but a nice place to sit. Toilets were accessible and free to use. Gift shops onsite had slow service and were quite expensive. Pets Corner seemed to have only rabbits and was quite small. All in all a great place for a free day out with friends/ family :)

Great place for a stroll, pic nic in the park or to take the kids for a play on the playground, fly a kite or have a game of cricket, rounders or football. The cafes and galleries are great too.

Lovely park with a variety of landscapes to enjoy. Dog walkers just need to be more diligent in cleaning up after their dogs and this place will be perfect.

Lovely place, just happened to be the re-opening when we went. Loads of walks and a big park for the kids. The cafe was nice for lunch.

A very large park with many facilities and a small museum to visit. Plenty of space for a walk and football ground for kids and adults to play football. A reasonably large cafe and good for summer time vibes.

We took the woodland walk from the lower entrance near to the Chorley Tesco. A gentle stroll through mature woodland into the park, which is beautifully maintained. We came across numerous happily playing children and dogs. We didn't go into the hall as we didn't have enough time. We will save that for next time.

I went to the UFO light show. Great experience for all ages. Astley Hall was a great backdrop for the light show. Astley Park is a great place to visit as well. There is plenty to do and see for all ages. It's well worth a visit.

Had a very pleasant picnic here with my daughter on our way to Southport. Unfortunately the hall is being renovated so there are quite alot of construction works going on. Hall looking good though 😁

Such a nice place to spend a couple of hours! We took a ball, packed a picnic basket and had a lovely afternoon there. Great play area for tge kids, large open field to play with the ball, and a really nice walk in the woods. Highly recommended!

Large expansive park of multiple acres in the city. Great for walking, picnicking, and playing sports (tennis courts and lawn bowling available). There is also Astley Hall in the park, which is worth a visit

What an amazing civic amenity! A complete island of antiquity and nature in the middle of Chorley! Must be something for everyone there from lunch in the café, stroll in the park, tour of the house, picnic on the fields, fun on the playground or bowls green or just sit and contemplate the West Pennines on the horizon!

Went for one of my walks were the route took me through Astley Park, always a favourite for feeding the geese, ducks, pigeons & seagulls (although not many of the ducks were interested in the food. Astley Park is always a great place to walk around, especially the gardens at the rear of the Hall (sadly.i didn't have enough time available for that part on this visit) or the trails through the woods. You can always grab a coffee and something to eat at the cafe, and the toilets are always available if needed. There are plenty of rubbish bins along the main paths through the park to dispose of your litter, although sadly, not everyone uses them.

We attended the Chorley Flower Show on Saturday 29th. July with some friends. The whole show was highly organised and we really enjoyed our trip to Astley Park. The hall is beautiful as are the grounds, lake and gardens. Everything is very well tended. The café is great and sells teas, coffee and light meals. There is also a lovely shop that sells Wallings ice cream together with a great range of beers and wines. We had a great day!

Well kept. Nice to go for a walk. It's accessible in all weather. There are good footpaths for pushchair /wheelchairs. Quite a nice play area for children. A decent café and toilets.

Good size Park. From all variety of attraction there wasn't all functions, for this reason 3 start, it is in need of renovation , people can't because they have other place to go, if was looking better , could double visitor plus some money for council and happy people children elderly. The train station doesn't look better is the council management not interests of people

Fantastic park. Well-maintained, excellent facilities, onsite cafe & great wine/farm shop. Suitable for all ages. Woodland, open green spaces and a gorgeous lake with water fountain. This park has it all. Astley Hall is also a beautiful building and looks amazing after the refurb. We had a great night for the fireworks (pictures attached)...a little muddy under foot but that's expected after a wet week. A brilliant urban park.

Attended an excellent public bonfire and firework display put on by the local council. There were toilet and food stalls, plenty of stewards including first aid workers; pathways were lit and the event was clearly very well thought out and managed. The fire and display was excellent and provided a great experience for families, a very well attended event and a credit to the local community who worked to provide a safe and enjoyable environment

Great place for everyone, lots for children to do, responsible dogwalkers welcome, Historic hall, cafe, bowling greens and tennis courts for the more active, or just walking through the woods, come and enjoy.

It is a wonderful park that caters for everyone - the young and the old. Highly recommended. Nice place for a picnic. Play areas for kids. Park is clean and maintained. It has free parking which is a bonus.

Lovely park, large and wide, nice walks, picnic ready grass, lake with swans and ducks that you can feed. It also has its own cafe/restaurant in a beautiful bulding, with plenty of outdoor seating. The full English breakfast is disappointing for £10, so have lunch (good soup and lunch options) but skip breakfast. It has a small art gallery that varies its exhibition frequently, from paintings to sculptures

A beautiful park & 15th century hall which is owned & run by Chorley council. The hall is currently undergoing a £1.1 million restoration program which is progressing well. The park offers a beautiful country park which is free to enjoy. We are very lucky to have this park within our reach.

What a lovely place to visit, with dogs or without. The park is so big. A stream runs through the wooded area, you can then wander over to the vast expanse of greenery, with benches where you could sit with your picnic or something that you have purchased from the lovely cafe on site. There is a fantastic play area, with all types of equipment, to stretch the imagination of any child. The whole place is beautifully maintained and pleasingly there is very little rubbish about. A visit to Astley Park is a must

Astley Park is the jewel in the crown for Chorley. Cafe Ambio is fully opened. Wheelchair access all around. Nice grounds and walled garden to explore. Astley Hall completely cleaned up ahead of the g7 speakers summit in September 2021. Well worth a visit. Several car parks on site as well

What a beautiful park and outing for a family. Lovely paths and benches to relax in with a tea room on site. Watch out for dogs off lead and unsupervised kids on random scooters, and bicycles whizzing down paths. Yea room could do with service to tables as it does become a queue issue when ordering at the cafe. All said a 5 star ⭐️ venue 👍
