Needs some serious work. The roof being blown off might give them the opportunity to update a few other areas of the building. Sad to say it shows when you don't maintain a building and YMCA - being a fairly large company should have kept up with maintenance. Can you imagine if children had been killed if the roof caved inwards. Maybe this was an eye opener.

Just had a work out at Kirkham YMCA gym. It was great. Everything is spaced out properly and there was plenty sanitizing stations available to use allowing you to keep safe whilst using the gym. The staff were polite and ready to answer any questions you have. The only negative for me was that you only got one hour to work out. I have been using Poulton YMCA until Kirkham opened and there you get 90 minutes. If Kirkham YMCA could give 75 minutes then I would give 10 out of 10 for a great experience.

Had a good swim with the kids, we had a good time. Was good price. What is going on with the lockers, some are a quid some are 20p and some don't work at all.

This swimming pool is quite old (over 100 years, in fact), but is still in pretty good condition. However, you have to beware that most of the locker keys are missing wristbands, so if you are going swimming then you may want to think about that (although it does not affect gym users who can simply place the key in a pocket). But other than that, it is a nice place to go, and it is never too busy!

I only use the gym and it's great for general fitness. It would be perfect for me if they had the kit so I could do squats with free weights. Changing areas are a bit overdue a refresh and not really set up for those not using the pool i.e. there is often no dry changing space, and there are no separate showers. It is a really friendly place though, annual charges are reasonable (especially considering how the money is used) and all staff are fantastic!

Perfect for me! The pool is always nice and warm. The gym is well equipped. Iā€™m a novice in the gym but here I feel like I can just get on and not be judged on my fitness level or wobbly bits.

Great, I am 70 years old with Multiple Sclerosis. Exercise is extremely important to me. Movement is medicine. Swimming is the best form of exercise. Tidy, well ventilated, clean, monitored, and understanding staff.

Lockers are not very good but the pool is nice and big with different depths. Just dont like how there will be kids playing and people are telling them to move out the way because they want to keep swimming lengths when there are areas roped off for this reason!

Can highly recommend the childrens swimming lessons. Small class. Teachers are very enthusiastic. The team of life guards are lovely and very keen in watching whats going on in the pool. Overall an assert to the town.

Been here twice during half term with my son, very dated building & not brilliant parking, shame it only has one fair sized pool but was cheap & cheerful & my son had a good time. Could do with knocking down & building a new modern leisure centre.
