Walking round the lake is an excellent way to spend your leisure time. Some people run round it for fitness. It would be a good run for a beginner, because the path round the lake is flat without obstacles and there are ducks, swans and seagulls to watch, which can take your mind off any discomfort in your legs. I walked round yesterday because I wanted to think. The lake is mostly quite a distance from the road, so there are no car noises to distract you. The tide was in, when I was there, so I saw both lake and the sea at some points. I was able to smell the sea and the estuary sand. I filled my lungs with sea air. The sun popped out from behind the clouds occasionally, changing the colours in my view. All of this helped me think. Definitely worth a visit, if you like any of the things, which I have mentioned.

A rather lovely spot to explore and take a laid back, deep breath of sea air - have a stroll, around the lake, promenade, beach or sand dunes, or set free your nautical side in a boat on Fairhaven lake. Children's play areas, tennis courts and bowling. Handy cafe by the lake for refreshments and meals at reasonable prices, but also a great place for picnics. Great for singles, couples, families and dogs. Free roadside parking as well as pay and display parking. If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air ....

A nice place to go for a stroll, a bike ride, exercise dogs, hire rowing boats or engine propelled boats on Fairhaven Lake, there is a hut type shop that sells ice cream, sweets & cold drinks.

Great place just to sit and chill with lovely views, plenty of benches and good place to visit with fairhaven lake and park there too. Great little kiosk at the carpark with everything from snacks, ice creams and tea/coffee etc. Well worth a visit 😊 have captured some beautiful sunsets here.

Once the flood protection work is finished and the metal fencing removed, you will have a great view of the Ribble estuary and also take the kids for a run in the mud, it's great fun!

I visit this place quite often . Known as fairhaven lake . A pleasant 1/2 hour walk and you can stop off at the cafeteria for tea coffee and food . Booting on the lake is different for a change and as you make your way round views of Southport in the distance

Nice boat ride with my daughter and friendly staff the motor boats need a little bit of attention ie the controls tightening a little bit but still really cheap 8 pounds for a boat and a nice way to see the ducks and swans on the water

πŸ‘πŸ‘ A beautiful woodland walk that stretches from the centre of Lytham to Ansdell nearly a mile away. The entrance is just behind the railway station on the road leading to Lytham Hall. The path is level and easy to walk with side paths winding among the trees. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes if you're...
