We
a
family
of
5
(kids:
4,
7,
10
yrs
old)
had
a
fantastic
holiday
in
Sweden
for
which
we
rented
a
camper
to
allow
for
seeing
as
much
of
the
country
as
possible
(we
drive
1'800km
in
15
days).
It
has
been
our
virgin
voyage
with
a
camper
and
would
do
many
different
but
first
and
foremost
we
would
not
rent
a
vehicle
at
Touring
Cars
ever
again!
The
camper
had
indeed
less
than
100'000km
as
advertised
(17'500km
when
we
got
it).
We
were
advised
by
TC
(email,
chat
and
phone)
to
rent
a
large
for
6
pax,
which
we
did
(EUR4'630
for
15
days).
Here
comes
the
reason
for
our
1-star
review:
Bottom-line:
we
have
the
succinct
feeling
that
TC
has
optimized
procedures
to
sign
customers
quickly,
minimize
investment
to
maximize
profits,
and
cover
themselves
in
slick
procedures
and
small
text
"legaleze"
to
assure
they
cannot
caught
officially
and
be
reviewed
as
being
misleading.
1.
The
camper
was
smaller
than
the
internet
indicated,
which
is
of
course
settled
by
their
small
font
"legaleze"
["Please
note
that
camper
types
shown
on
this
website
are
for
illustration
purposes
only."]
2.
For
the
so-called
double
dining
table
bed
we
had
to
buy
a
thin
mattress
and
level
out
the
cushions
with
towels
to
allow
for
a
reasonable
bed
for
one
of
our
kids.
Upon
returning
the
camper
we
mentioned
this,
the
answer
was
["I
tried
it
myself
and
slept
lovely"],
as
such
it
must
be
our
fault
I
guess.
3.
The
camper
did
not
have
a
"marquise"
(outside
pull-out
roof-screen)
doubling
your
space
which
is
handy
when
it
rains
(which
is
like
the
UK,
absolutely
common
in
Sweden).
We
really
missed
this
feature
and
are
astounded
that
it
wasn't
there
since
this
seems
to
be
standard
(we
haven't
seen
any
other
rented
camper
without
a
"marquise").
Again
read
the
technical
details
where
it
is
not
listed.
As
such
nothing
to
complain
here
either...
officially.
4.
The
pick-up
is
slick
with
a
5'
["VIP"-transfer]
from
Arlanda
airport,
a
welcome
with
a
self-service
bar
with
coffee
and
tea
(nothing
for
the
kids
except
for
water),
and
your
[personal
orientation].
The
20'
video
you
are
shown
provide
some
basics
and
instructions
on
the
use
of
features
which
in
our
case
were
not
in
our
camper,
but
no
worries
[this
video
might
be
different
from
your
vehicle...].
Example:
changing
gas
bottles
with
a
simple
valve
was
in
reality
a
bolt
fastener.
5.
Camper
hand-over:
this
is
where
in
my
opinion
the
true
profit
optimization
practice
of
TC
starts...
The
insurance
upgrades
and
the
horror
stories
if
you
don't
[this
scratch
and
bump
happened
so-and-and
so
and
has
cost
the
family
renting
the
vehicle
EUR2'400].
Then
[Take
your
time
to
check
your
vehicle,
and
here
you
have
a
ladder
to
check
the
roof,
as
well].
Since
I
got
this
funny
feeling
I
went
out
with
my
iPhone
and
have
taken
14
photos
of
the
most
minor
damages
I
could
find.
6.
Upon
return
this
has
proven
not
sufficient.
We
ended-up
paying
EUR79.-
for
a
scratch
on
top-side
of
the
camper
as
[the
mechanic
requires
1
hour
to
polish
it
out].
We
might
have
caused
it,
we
might
not
(it
was
too
high
to
notice
standing
on
the
floor,
and
I
did
not
check
it
at
pick-up),
but
the
entire
hand-back
confirmed
my
feelings
from
pick-up.
READ
THE
SMALL-FONT
AND
MAKE
SURE
YOU
HAVE
DOCUMENTED
EVERYTHING
IN
DETAIL.
Anyway,
I
would
recommend
everybody
a
family
camper
tour
through
Sweden,
and
cannot
compare
TC's
services
with
any
other,
but
I
would
definitely
recommend
to
check
elsewhere
for
renting
your
camper.
