This
was
an
ideal
way
to
spend
a
day
getting
to
know
a
few
areas
of
the
Bordeaux
region
with
a
knowledgeable
and
entertaining
guide.
Clement,
a
Bordeaux
native,
was
friendly
and
obviously
loves
what
he
does,
and
he
took
every
opportunity
as
we
drove--from
Bordeaux
city
to
Pessac-Leognan
then
to
Saint-Émilion
to
visit
a
total
of
three
châteaux--to
learn
more
about
those
in
our
group
and
tailor
his
comments
toward
our
already
existing
wine
knowledge.
We
also
got
to
spend
time
walking
around
the
tiny
medieval
village
of
Saint-Émilion
and
had
a
lovely
surprise
tasting
there,
as
well.
Lunch
was
delightful
and
filling,
and
I
had
plenty
as
a
vegetarian
(which
I'd
alerted
them
to
ahead
of
time).
We
left
with
a
lot
more
information
than
we
already
knew
about
wine
in
general
and
Bordeaux
specifically,
and
Clement
also
offered
wonderful
recommendations
for
the
rest
of
our
stay
in
the
city;
if
you're
there
on
a
Sunday
morning,
don't
miss
having
oysters
and
white
wine
at
Marché
des
Capucins--Clement
says
you're
considered
50%
French
if
you
do
that!
I
highly
recommend
this
tour
and
would
look
for
the
opportunity
to
take
any
others
offered
by
these
guides
if
I'm
ever
fortunate
enough
to
be
back
in
the
area.
