Amazing experience from the minute we entered till we finished our fantastic meal. The great food taste was complimented by the impeccable service.

Absolutely loved the place. Cosy traditional and yet modern setting, great detailed service and excellent food! Real Turkish flavors, fresh ingredients. We had 4 cold and 4 hot starters which were all great. As main course we had the chicken and the duck and they were excellent. Very tasty combination of flavors. Quantity more than enough, more than expected. Price was very reasonable! We will most definitely come back.

it is everything but a Turkish restaurant! As soon as they realized we are a group of 12, they scammed us by offering a fixed menu! Only chicken and fish as main course. It was very expensive compared to a Michelin starred restaurant we went in Brussel!! They were trying to modernize their -so called- Turkish food and make it as fusion but it was more confusion! The starters were the only highlight of the dinner. The chicken main course was not cooked throughly and was just sitting in a lot of sauce! and the sea bass was lack of seasoning and tasted like nothing! The dessert tasted okay but again it wasn’t Turkish baklava! It was their own interpretation which wasn’t working. The restaurant was too crowded and we couldn’t hear one another. Overall, very unpleasant experience and disappointing. At least remove the Turkish Restaurant from the title!

What a pleasant surprise! Perfect balance between Turkish and Western food and culture. Very nice people. All friends and relatives for each other and that translates into a great experience.

First of all, the restaurant atmosphere is good as well as meat meals, but i didn’t like one of the meal and i told worker but he didn’t care about in rude way. Lastly, i ordered coffee and dessert , when my Turkish coffee arrived it was too cold and i asked from waiter to change with hot coffee, he react me like my fault, but it came as a cold. Totally it’s not deserved this money.

Lovely experience here! We walked in for lunch on a Saturday with no reservation. For dinner, you will need a reservation. The server was very nice and accommodating! We really enjoyed the sea bass and handmade pasta.

I had Manti, it wasn't stuffed with meat which really disappointed me, it was vegetarian stuffed with truffles (I came to this restaurant to try the real Turkish Manti). However, I was surprised that the taste was really good and I enjoyed it a lot!! I suggest them to add Manti stuffed with meat it would be amazing because they have nice food.

A very honest (and very turkish) comment Here we go, so the atmosphere is quite nice and the staff is very attentive. It is a good place for a special day celebration ( we went there for my girlfriend’s birthday). It is also possible to go there with big groups around 10-15 people. Negative aspect of my experience relates mainly to mezes. As a Turkish person, I know that they are easy to make, traditional sort of snacks that go very well with wine and/or raki. So the more you mess with these traditional stuff the more it loses its originality and the taste (it’s already freaking beautiful just don’t mess with it). We oredered a meze called chefs special which was a three layer meze prepared with kısır, caciki and something they added to it which involves some sort of fish. In my honest opinion it was a bit of a stretch. This stretch criticism also goes for their intermediate course (something called katmer) And you will be very much disappointed with the portions of the mezes. It’s like a tasting size portion. On the other hands the main course and the desert was high quality and also of a good portion but considering the price, I cannot in good conscience say that I am impressed. You don’t have many Turkish resto options in Maastricht and that’s why I go all the way to Aachen when I want to eat proper Turkish food for a reasonable price :)

Delicious, authentic Turkish food, with a wonderful setting and stellar service. You can feel how special this place is from every detail, including the music playlist and the decor. The service quality and hospitality of our waitress Canan and chef Halil were truly off the charts. We will definitely visit again!

After so many years of living here, this restaurant is the best in town! Super welcoming, impeccable staff always attentive, the kitchen is visible to customers and their food is exquisite

Nice and courteous service. We made a reservation at very short notice which was no problem. The waitress recommended a very good matching Turkish wine and guided us very competently through the Meze selection that came with house made warm bread. The food was great and we enjoyed it very much. We all had fish as our main course, which had several side dishes and sauces. We are definitely planning to go to Mandalin on our next trip to Maastricht.

Have been wanting to go for a while due to a number of friends all having excellent things to say. It was an overall excellent experience. The service was some of the best in the city. The menu/food/decor/price all met/exceeded expectations. very happy with Mandalin!

Very good food, with clear Turkish roots in a modern variant. Works well with a large group and the owner is flexibel and open to requests. The chefs put pride in their food.

Such a warm and cozy place with a nice decoration of Turkish motifs. People of the restaurant are very friendly in a respectful way and they are very helpful with selecting the best mezes of your taste and choice. This is not a kebab house like many of the other Turkish restaurants so please be mindful. And enjoy the delicious tastes of Anatolia, especially the goose liver which is a must have experience.

Really good and tasty food! Service is excellent and the best you can find in whole Maastricht! Perfect selection of starters. A little overpriced but definitely worth it!

Haute cuisine a la Turk. The service and style is the closest it can get to Michelin restaurant I been to. Polite and hospital, very professional waitress, decore is a perfect mix between oriental theme and contemporary high quality food place. Food served timely and orderly. Mezes are really tasty. Not as mind-blowing as authentic tavern on Cyprus, but definitely worth a visit. Main dish: manti (pelmeni, dumplings, funnily called Turkish pasta) of my wife were definitely a level beyond what this simple food is intended to be. My meet was well cooked (a pulled one felt a bit overcooked, but that was literally the only downside of the whole meal), with a nice side dish and sauces put together as a piece of art. Not in a pretentious modern cuisine way, but precisely to make it pretty and beautiful. Desserts were tasty and well put to. Enjoyed every bit of our several hour get-away from young parenthood into celebrating dating anniversary and be in a romantic mood again. Thanks!

EXCEPTIONALLY- MAGNIFICENT FROM START TO FINISH. Mandalin was completely delightful, art of Turkish food. We were gladly impressed by the suggestions of the restaurant Owner, 4 menu course combine with fish and beef all the dishes were spot on. The atmosphere and service is another aspect to point out everyone was knowledgeable about the menu excellent and efficient service. I wish I could have more stars to give to Mandalin. If you wanna go for a safe option impress your family friend or special occasion don’t hesitate to go there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!

It was a great experience to check out a high cuisine version of Turkish dishes! The food was nicely done and served. And the service was excellent overall just like the decorations. I'd pay this place another visit.
