Disappointing. I had looked up to this restaurant as the pinnacle of fine dining in Maastricht most of my life, and finally went to dine there on our honeymoon. The food overall used interesting ingredients and had nice presentation, but the flavours were not to our liking. The evening started out strong with some lovely bites and a nice amuse, but most dishes that followed were either rather salty or too rich/creamy. The service seemed very focussed on serving food in a synchronised way, which was fun to watch. We were given a warm welcome and the host congratulated us on our marriage. However when we were surprised with a plate to celebrate our marriage, it said “Happy Birthday”. When I pointed out that it was neither of our birthdays and we were on our honeymoon, the server just shrugged. Made me think they prepped these plates and just pulled them from the freezer, as other tables received similar plates. This took away from the experience because of the lack of a personal touch. Otherwise they always kept our glasses filled and replenished bread without asking, so the service was satisfactory. About halfway through the dinner we pointed out that we found the food too salty and too rich, so we requested if they could tone it down a bit for us. They said that it’s just because of how intense their sauces are, but they would let the chef know. The following courses were still too intense for our taste, and we quickly found ourselves looking forward to the end of the evening. The repetitive, loud music seemed more fitting for a nightclub than a fine dining restaurant. At the end we were invited into the kitchen to meet some of the staff and were offered a nitrogen cooled popcorn which was a fun experience, steam coming out our noses! Finally the bill was quite substantial, as expected, but unfortunately we did not feel that the experience was worth the price tag. We noticed that none of the staff dared ask us if we had a good experience as we went to settle the bill. I hope because it was clear to them that we did not enjoy it that much. There are better fine dining experiences to be had in Maastricht, and at much more reasonable prices.

This Michelin Star Restaurant is a must ! Just check out the website to see what's on...unmissable. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Its one for the Bucket List...but one visit and you'll be hooked.

Sorry, Team Beluga. Unfortunately I can’t give u more than 5 stars, although u earned it. I don’t have the skills to judge all aspects of the courses, but to me it was pure art. The picture on the plates and the taste. And the team made us feel like friends, not only guests. Unfortunately I am not able to afford finest dining often, but the Beluga is worth every single cent.

Over the top experience for all the senses. It's a place to enjoy food as a work of art. The wine pairing was remarkable as well as the kind service, the beluga team made us feel special all the time.

It really was a stellar experience. A bit long but all the courses were delicious, and the staff was super kind. Hope to come back next time I am in town.

My experience in this restaurant was more than amazing! They focus on crafting a great food presentation which gave as the first good impression and when we tried the food the taste was fantastic!!! My friend told the waiter that she has specific requirements for food and the Chef just prepared her what she wants that wasn't even in the menu! They are just an adorable staff I have to say and they deserve more than one Michelin star :)

Excellent food and wine pairings - very well thought out. Vegetarians and alcohol-free people well catered for. Wonderful cheese plate. Friendly staff. Really first class!

Excellent food, amazing wines and outstanding service! Loved the leek dish. A must try when in Maastricht. Well deserved star, higher standards than many 1 Michelin star restaurants in Europe. Hopefully you get your second star back!

The food is elegant and delicious, the only problem we had was the time between the cutlery and the dishes (15 minutes to change the cutlery and more 15 minutes waiting for the new plate), so we couldn't wait until the dessert and we left before the cheese plate..When we arrived we also had to wait around 40m between the cocktail and to sit in our table..a part of that everyone was very nice and professional, thank you Beluga!

We’ve enjoyed the experience. Clearly the team is very fond of what they are doing. Well balanced menu with exciting presentations. Wine pairing amplified the tastes. Among all Michelins restaurants I’ve been to Beluga is on my personal top now.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Maastricht now. The food is always fantastic and you can see the passion behind the dishes from chef Servais. Services are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Maastricht.

With the virus situation a delivery fixed menu is available. We enjoyed it for 5 people, celebrating a birthday and it was utterly brilliant. Thank you for adapting your fantastic dining experience.

Amazing food, amazing service! A couple of minus points... Seriously, don't charge us 7 euros each for water.. it's a high class fancy restaurant, water should be complimentary. You get a bit less attention at the end it you're sitting on the terrace... Otherwise everything was great!

In my personal opinion without any doubt this is simply the best place in Maastricht to go for a modern Dutch cuisine. You might want to book it in advance especially for the weekend, but it is completely and totally worth it.

Exquisite food, carefully selected wines and nice and well thought through decor. We joined for lunch and went on with 9 courses. One person in our party had very specific dietary preferences and they were able to accommodate all. Great and friendly service, we felt like old friends. All in all great experience

First of all, I have never seen a Michelin starred restaurant put so much effort and detail in service. The way of serving, interaction and cleaning the tables was superb. Would have rated more if it was possible. The food was good. The Drakenbrood and the lamb served three ways were exceptional! The wagyu unfortunately did not really impress us, as the meat got a bit overwhelmed due to the other flavours. The wine pairing accompanied the food really well.

So relaxed. Excellent service. Fantastic food. Loved the experience.

For the absolute foody! Exceptional dining experience. Vegetarian menu available if notified at least a day in advance. Highly recommend!
