We went last weekend to celebrate our relationship anniversary to restaurant Danyel. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive, starting with Chef Danyel who came frequently to our table to explain the dishes and to know if everything was going well. There is no fixed menu, just just tell the chef at the beginning how many dishes you would like (between 3 and 8) and if you have allergies or food preferences. We opted for fish/seafood options as we dont like meat very much and the 4-course option and everything was exquisite. Danyel worked in the past at some of the best restaurants in France (Paul Bocuse in Lyon and Haeberlin in Alsace) and we felt almost home by eating at his restaurant. A place to recommend.

New Year’s Eve dinner. Great food and many courses! The team was working really hard and remained pleasant and patient throughout the night. I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet dinner date with sophisticated cuisine and romantic ambiance.

We had a really good time at Danyel's. Super friendly couple, superb food. Really good value for the price! As far as I understand, the courses differ from table to table. I have no idea how the two of them are doing it. Amazing!

This is the best restaurant in Maastricht!!! I just love it. The food is incredible, always changing depending on what is fresh and seasonal and on the chef’s creativity. Also, I strongly suggest the menu with the wine pairing as you will always be positively surprised, even being a connaisseur. Danyel and Mariska will make sure that you will always have an amazing experience ❤️

Danyel offers a great culinary experience in a relaxed environment. My suggestion is to let him surprise you with a 4 course menu and wine pairing. Recently he served us an exquisite risotto with fennel and sea food surrounding a smoked salmon.

Gerard and I found Danyel, well what a surprise, off the beaten track, A surprise chefs menu, just delicious from start to finish, Danyel and Mariska looked after us fabulously from start to finish. The surprise element added to the experience, which created the curiosity what other tables were have, allowing us to engage with other foodies beside us. Wishing you both every success.

Spent a very pleasant Sunday here with my daughter. The food is delicious and the chef-owner is very warm and friendly.

For me the best restaurant in town! Next to ‘classics’, Danyel always surprises you with new, tasteful dishes, prepared with high skills and lots of care. Which are then accompanied with a great choice of wines, suggested by Mariska, the wife and sommelier of Danyel. You simply feel that they love what they do there

Great Restaurant! Was here with a small group to celebrate our wedding and the food, service and athmosphere were superb! Will definitely visit again.

Had an amazing birthday dinner here. Both Mariska and Daniel are great host. Aside from that the food was very very good. This is the restaurant that won’t pretend. Just good food. Good service and very reasonable price. We’ll see you soon!
