Unfortunately, even though the dinner was exquisite we left with a bitter aftertaste. In between the first course and the main course we waited for at least one hour without any explanation. People that joined after us were served prior to us. In addition, because we saw other reviews about this we checked the bill and saw that there were extra charges, just like other people mentioned. Overall despite the delicious food, due to very bad service I wouldn't choose it again.

Food is great, however the service was one of the worst I've experienced, we had to ask for the drinks 3 times from 3 different waiters before we got served. Red wine was served at nearly 30 degrees Celsius. Impossible to get the attention of the staff and when the bill finally arrived, there were a bunch of items on our tab that we didn't eat/drink. They had to correct the bill twice before it was finally correct. Such a shame because the kitchen staff clearly knows what they're doing.

Excellent food, very friendly staff and a bit of a hidden gem. However, 4 hours for 4 courses was rather long and the acoustics are poor, making general conversation loud. We were late and despite calling forward to inform the restaurant of our delay, we were made to feel very uncomfortable about it when we arrived by, as it appears, the owner. We were made to stand in the draughty corridor (with my 81 year old parents), whilst the more punctual guests were prioritised. A touch more modesty wouldn’t be a bad thing.

We had the five course meal, for which each dish gave at least two options except for the third dish. Each dish however could be swapped out by any other dish in the ala carte menu against an additional fee. The starter course I choose (veal tartare), and the second dish (Black Angus ravioli in black garlic), were exquisite. The third dish (surf and turf extraordinare) was not for me as I have a shellfish allergy, so I swapped it for a steak tartare,l. It was ok. Unfortunately the crisped potato was so well done it overwhelmed the taste of the tartare. The main course was the true let down. Where the first three courses really were visually stunning, the main course almost seemed childish in its presentation. To make matters worse, the bavette I choose came in two pieces, one close to well done and the other close to rare. The potato crisp (almost like German Reibekuchen) as well as the red wine sauce were nice and an unexpected contrast to the meat, but not enough to make up for the hard parsnip and spare and small vegetable pieces. The desert (egg surprise) was stunning in its presentation, consisting of dry ice smoking up an egg with macha ice and mango ice over an 'egg' made of white and milk chocolate with a mango 'yolk' in its midst. Unfortunately the mango ice extraction of the desert was so sweet that it did not leave room for the more balanced flavors of the chocolate and macha. There was no wine pairing, but enough choice for anyone with a good eye for wine to choose some fine wines that paired well with the dishes. Long story short, strong start, disappointing end.

Wow, what an experience! Must go to anyone visiting Maastricht.

This place has such amazing service. Good quality food. Highly underrated. And the atmosphere is homely yet private and they have a nice selection of good wine.

Food quality is really superb. Although, quantity can be improved. Very friendly and amicable service. Recommended.

It took far too long. As the evening went on we waited 30 mins between courses. I emailed them twice to remind them there would be a vegan at dinner, they confirmed they could cater for a vegan and the first course was full of cream and milk. I had to explain to them that vegan means no animal products at all. They apologized, but it is still disappointing from a restaurant on Bib Gourmand. The food was tasty and the presentation was good but it was not what we had expected from the reviews.

Good food. Easy parking. Nice setting. Great staff. all by all excellent ingredients to have a nice evening and enjoy the good food! We used the 3 course menu. You can add/delete courses. all by all a place to recommend.

For the locals, easy to find. For travellers a hidden gem. The best stop for lunch or dinner when you're hiking through the beautiful countryside. Great menu, very good looking plates comming out of the kitchen. Service is very friendly and helpfull. Prices are very reasonable.

Excellent food and very good service in a wonderful ambiance

Was expecting something good as it is a Michelin bib gourmand selection but the food and overall experience totally surpassed my expectations! From the first amuse until the last dessert, the food was impeccable. All of the flavour combinations, visual and textural elements, quality of ingredients and variety, levels of acidity and salt were just perfect. And super friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Better than many Michelin star restaurants in the Amsterdam region. Quality/price ratio is top. What a gem!
