Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here. It was perfect and elegant. The quality of the food, the wine, the wine pairing, the staff were all wonderful, even though a man in the cave did NOT appreciate my sense of humor but that's okay. I played Las Vegas and did many shows there and he won't ever do that. He was great at lighting the candles with his handy dandy little flame thrower, except for a few that he missed but a kind friendly blond young lady took care of the candles which were just too powerful for him.

This is a review of our lunch at L'Auberge in the context of value (~260 EUR for 4 people) & Bib Gourmand rating Food: The food was generally good, but not amazing. - The biggest problem was that it took almost 3 hours to serve a 3 course lunch served lunch. (more in Services) - No major gripes with the food, there were great ingredients but the flavors were off balance - e.g. sauerkraut with smoked salmon - the sauerkraut was so strong that you could not taste the salmon at all. This was the case with 2 of 3 meals we had for lunch. Lastly, the game meat we had didn't have enough sear and rest - blood was running on the plate when served - As we had a pie for breakfast, none of the group wanted dessert, so we asked to have two appetizers and main instead of dessert - we were informed that was possible but at 4 EUR per person extra. We thought it was a bit funny to go from 49 EUR to 53 EUR per person but okay, apparently it was slightly more food so understandable Overall tasty food and quality ingredients but execution left something to be desired. Service: Very friendly and trying hard, but unfortunately this was the biggest gap. - As mentioned, we had a 3 course lunch which took close to 3 hours, it simply took too long, when mentioned to the service, they said they were aware - no apology, no proactive approach, just constant questions if we wanted more wine; this spoiled the experience as we waited more than an hour for our main after our second appetizer It seems you have the right staff, just still a little rough around the edges. Atmosphere: A great space but too cold - We were all too cold in the restaurant and the bathrooms were freezing, there is ongoing reconstruction of the restaurant, therefore the premises are affected so hopefully this won't be the case much longer Otherwise a very nice space, tasteful decorations and beautiful surroundings I had high hopes for the place as the main restaurant has always delivered well but unfortunately, the experience was not great.

The Historic Chateau is a beautiful place to visit with family and pets. Superb views, nice short walk, free parking, a lovely terrace for drinks and coffee. Superb dinner place in a room with amazing ambiance. I think the romantic hotel is adding to the character an element of time travelling. Visitors receive a first class welcome with drinks and a small tour of the estate. The rooms are a dream and the views are adding to the exclusivity of the Chateau. Look out for the cafe, the wine cellars and vineyards, the tours in the Jesuits cave...... Enjoy this marvelous place. Is well worth a visit.

We had lunch with our children (13 and 10) on Thursday and had such a wonderful time. Driving up to the Chateau is an experience in itself and we loved the view of the castle appearing around the corner. We were welcomed warmly and given a lovely table at the terrace, which was covered from sun (and potentially rain). A lovely welcome drink was offered while we checked the menu. We loved the oysters, served with a beautiful dressing, had the spectacular veal tartar and the mussels/salmon starter and for main we chose the duck breast (perfectly cooked to medium), the entrecote and the fish (sole) which was also spectacularly well cooked. To top it off we had cheese and a summery fruit dessert after which the chef personally guided us through his vegetable garden, where he grows pretty much everything you see on the menu that it not protein. He took his time for us, also during service when the kids (and I) eagerly peeked into his kitchen. What a great experience, will not soon forget this and will be back as soon as we are back in Limburg.

This is truly an amazing experience.The food is fantastic, the location is utterly enchanting, and the staff are super attentive and really work to give you a wonderful night out. You'll be talking about this meal for years to come.

An over the top wonderful experience for our group of 10. All of our dishes were very tasty, and beautifully presented. Also the evening had some of the best wine service we’ve ever had in a Michelin starred Restaurant BRAVO for a great performance. Finishing the evening by taking our coffees in the caves next-door made for a super fun evening.

Wonderful food in a wonderful setting! There are two restaurants here so make sure which one you booked! I mistakenly went to this one which is in the old horse stables. What a pleasant surprise and experience! Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere and good service for big events. For such a fancy place, food is well under expectations. I mean it is good but does not provide an exceptional experience.

We had the 8 course meal with wine. Came on a Sunday and received world class service. Staff were very accommodating to a gluten allergy in our party. Beautiful building, garden, and wine cellar. The staff even gave us a brief tour! Food was amazing. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

One of the best restaurants I have been to. The food is of pristine quality, the staff is ever so helpful and the location... it's beautiful. You really feel like you are away from the everyday world when you gaze down upon the private garden and the meadows across. Very peaceful and very authentic. Full transparency; I have been coming here for over 10 years now. The "mergel" caves are a very romantic and private place (with a interesting history) to have an appetizer. Great champagne and wine! Don't worry, you won't get lost in the caves. Dining in the chateau is a premium experience. The outside terrace is an absolute must-do on beautiful summer evenings.

It was a wonderful lunch experience in a romantic setting. Your own made aperitif is unique and interesting. Service was a bit slow and little too loud sound from the kitchen. The castle, garden and beautiful overlooking view is big bonus to complete the visiting experience.

The view was phenomenal but didn’t compare to the outstanding fresh food and attentive service. The entire experience from arrival to departure was like being transported to a time where the only thing that mattered was who you were with and what you were talking about. We went for lunch and the price was very reasonable- we both had a 3 course meal with accompanying wine and paid only $135 which for the quality of food was a very fair price. Getting to this restaurant was the only difficult part as Maastricht does not yet have Uber so we had to taxi out there from city center and that cost about $30 one way. However upon leaving the host kindly called a taxi for us.

We enjoyed the lunch there for our 1st anniversary. The staff was attentive and explain the menu in detail, because I have dietary needs as a pregnant woman. The food was well presented and delicious, the environment is relaxing in the outdoor area. Recommend to go for a special occasion. Lunch menu is good value for money considering the restaurant being on the Michelin guide.

We had a wonderful experience at the amazing Chateau Neercanne. The staff was impeccable. They were nice, funny, attentive, knowledgeable and last but certainly not least— attractive! The food was amazing and they were knowledgeable about my gluten free diet and even brought me gluten free bread. The scenery is amazing, the Chateau is beautiful inside and out. We were able to get a quick tour of the wine cellar but if time permits, have a drink there before or after your meal. We had an amazing 8 course meal with wine pairings as well as a delicious homemade kombucha liquor drink to start. It is not a cheap meal, but you definitely get what you pay for! Celebrate a special occasion and soak up every minute!

Food was phenomenal, I can't fault it and thoroughly enjoyed every dish. The issue was the service and attention to detail. We opted for the 6 course meal with wine pairing. All meals were delicious, well balance and wonderfully described. Wine was perfectly paired. However, for a 6 course meal, we spent 4.5 hours there. For 2 of our dishes, it took more than an hour for us to be served. For a Michelin star restaurant, and the price to dine, I expected far better in terms of service.

I've visited several 1 to 3 star Michelin restaurants and they are in the podium. Excellent quality, great care for the costumers, beautiful location and tasty proposals. Just one note: I'd never propose a white wine for sweetbread... But may be it's my personal view . Recommended, will be there again and again :)
