Amazing food, and great prices. Both the snack plate ('borrelplank') and the Naan (we shared a 'kuku') were amazing!!! Also, very nice staff! Wines are nice, too. At least, the rose, that's the one that we had (Pinot Grigio). And sun until it goes down (they close at 2200). Highly recommended!!!

We were a group of old friends and were looking for a place to have home-made like cooking. We were lucky to find Karen, who kindly made our gastronomic wishes come true. Both the food and the atmosphere of the place were so homey, we didn't noticed how time went by. There were a varoty of fresh, healthy and yummy appetizers and main dishes. The beverages were also nice and fresh and tasty. Highly recommend for group gatherings.

Excellent Persian cuisine with food presented very well, great ambience and good service. Must visit if you are in the Maastricht area and are looking for middle eastern / Indian equivalent food.

We were in Maastricht and I found this place on map and thought of giving this Iranian restaurant a try. The ambiance at this place is really nice but it’s a shame that we couldn’t dine in due to present Corona situation and neither could sit outside as it was raining too. We settled for Takeaway - Falafel and Kuku (Persian). Food was good and the quantity was ok, it was freshly prepared however compared to other places we thought the price was on a higher side. Service was really good, since we couldn’t sit inside and had to wait outside, however staff were courteous and kind. We had the takeaway ready in fairly quick time.

As always, Farèn restaurant was a wonderful place to dine! The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is warm and the food is phenomenal. Presented beautifully, it also tastes delicious, fresh, and is all homemade. The prices are fair for good food and we have visited a few times, while planning to be back again soon! Updated 2023: inflation has caused the prices to get a bit steep, but the atmosphere, good food, and staff are all worth it! Portion sizes are still good, despite the hard times. As a bonus, there are new items on the menu and more vegetarian (and I think vegan) options now!

Amazing food, amazing service, authentic, everything you’d want for an evening out

The food was really delicious, interesting as I had never tried these kinds of food before. The service was great, very friendly staff.

The food is lovely ! I really recommend it. However, as a waitress myself I have to say the service is not good. Everyone is very friendly but waiters weren't shown how to use a tray, and the lady who takes the orders doesn't ask systematic questions which results in discrepancies in the orders.

The place is very simply but nicely decorated. Food was disappointing. Was rather tasteless and very tiny portions served on huge plates. Menu contains same salad as you get on the main dish. Many ingredients but still no flavor and quite faded. Especially the rice. I’ve eaten Iranian food in a family of friends so I know how tasty it is. This restaurant doesn’t offer anything like that. At the end of meal a long black hair was found on a plate by one of us which was totally 🤢 Waiter was ok, but the guy at the bar was rather cold. And finally the price is too high for what is offered.

Went a bit ago and definitely best food I had in my life. Can’t explain the flavors, attention to detail, etc. it was amazing!! Cant wait to go again (and again and again)

This is one of the best Restaurants in Maastricht. A true hidden gem next to the Groene Loper. Amazing food with authentic flavors. Their shared plates for 2 are very large and can easily be shared with 3 people. Our favorites are the Tehran grill menu and the Shéhérazade menu. When the sun is shining, highly recommend a seat outside if available paired with their home made iced tea

It’s a great food, very tasty. Some Staff are somehow weird, when questioned or asked for help, it seemed that they were making fun of me for no clear reason. Prices are high. Okay place overall. With a more helpful, polite and educated staff they can have my 4 star. Now, it’s just generally an average place.

I would have preferred to give 4.5 stars. The food and atmosphere was amazing. We had 4 different dishes. 3 of which were absolutely stellar. The fourth one, none of us liked as much but it was still good! The spinach salad is insane, it is so tasty and different from what I'm used to. Highly recommended it. The drinks are priced well, which is something I always appreciate. The main dishes we ordered were between 30-40 Euros. Expensive for us but it was a reasonable price for what you got :) It was quite busy, we got our soups fast but the main course took a long time. That's why the service got 4 stars. I would like to emphasize that the staff was incredibly friendly!! 4 stars is solely because the main course took long.
