I’ve been living in an apartment down the street from this restaurant for almost a year. It always seems like a lovely place to eat and is full of happy people. However I have now tried to eat there two times and was treated really rudely by staff both times. The first time I went there to grab a drink with a friend we were ignored for 10 minutes by staff so we walked out and left. The second time, months later, I had a reservation with my partner and the waiter was extremely rude about our inquiry to seating outside. I understand COVID-19 regulations make everything stressful but they were handled in a very dismissive and disrespectful way. Again, we left. I’m not sure if this has to do with the fact that I’m a student and don’t speak Dutch or just bad luck from rude waitstaff but it left me pretty upset both times. It’s a shame because having a great restaurant so close by seemed like a real plus.

One of the loveliest, most homely restaurants in town. The interior is designed with the most provinicially camp touches and it feels so local. The food is great value. They have a new daily menu for 6 euros every day. I highly recommend the salmon! It was stellar. I'll be taking my parents here the next time they want to experience authentic Dutch cooking.

Used to eat there when living in Maastricht. Nice local easy going place to have a meal and a drink.

The place is known for having cheap and generally decent meals of the day. Had a nice steak with fries the day I visited it and the food overall was pretty good. The server was very nice and friendly and the place itself has a cozy feeling to it. Can feel very crowded though as it's a relatively small Cafe.

Good food and more than reasonably priced; combined with a nice atmosphere reminding me of a traditional "brown" cafe.

Decent enough to good food and priced below value. Do not go here for the service, a quick bite or if you're taller than 1.7m (5'5") sitting inside will be a quite uncomfortable.

Fantastic wee place that was recommended by our air B&B hosts, fairly prices, lovely friendly service and delicious food, big portions for the price too! Will definitely go back and would highly recommend. The veal schnitzels we're beautiful!

the place is very casual but cheerful and the service impeccable/I remember that I had problems with the wi-fi signal and a kind young man helped me with the house password.
