My stay here was very good, the rooms were perfect! The service was so nice and fast. The location is fabulous, it has a river side view, has many fun things to do near it, but the reason I gave it a “4” is because their lobby smelled very bad, and their elevator. Everything else is fantastic. I would really recommend staying here too!

Beautiful Location,Nice room with all essential amenities. Amazing Staff. All staff are very courteous and professional. I would like to mention Miss Giorgia from reception staff is very polite and courteous. I needed few printouts and information, she provided all possible help she could. Enjoyed the lovely breakfast with a river view. It was a wonderful experience staying with Crown Plaza Maastricht. 10/10

Great location but the room was dingy. The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and I could see mold on the side of it. I asked for a non-smoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes. For the price of the hotel you could stay somewhere better.

I have been here for years now, today I wanted to check. As I have problems with my shoulders I asked for someone to pick up my luggage from my car. The answer was. They have no one for that. I can take a trolley a pick my luggage. And since the room is not ready I received a ticket for my luggage. So i Carry my luggage upstairs. I do not pay that much money in order to carry my luggage. There was never a problem at this hotel. The last years the service was always perfect. And now I am sitting on the open terrace since over 30 minutes and no service…

The location of the hotel is enough for the five stars. The river view is just stunning. Thev5room that I got was basic but did the trick. Breakfast was very good. If you can book a rate inclusive of Breakfast otherwise it's almost 30 Euros per person. Staff were really friendly.

A very nice hotel in Maastricht! My room had a very nice view of the river that runs through the city. Very convenient to some really good restaurants! The rooms were well appointed and very quiet at night for sleeping.

This is the most unpleasant hotel I have stayed in for a very long time. The room is two stories. Downstairs I have the bathroom and a very dingy poorly lit uncomfortable seating area and desk (the only lighting in this area is a single standard lamp) and upstairs a bed. It is all drab and depressing. No interior decoration thought has been applied. There is nothing of colour, no artwork - just completely utilitarian. I cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel nor that a room is more the €300 per night. My room is poorly lit - and in particular the desk area so dark it is a joke to think I could work there in the evening. My balcony door lock is broken so it cannot be securely closed. The overall ambience of the hotel is dated and ugly. I have not seen anything in the design or decoration that would uplift one’s spirits or be of any memorable nature at all. I can only assume that other rooms have a more normal and welcoming configuration and level of comfort considering the number of 5 star reviews there are. This in fact makes the unpleasantness of the room I am in, all the more galling as others must have been given rooms of much more appeal for the same price. I would never willingly pay this money again for the room I have been allocated. As for a nice view - that must be elsewhere too. No high end toiletries for me either - actually nothing supplied except some bottles of shower gel and shampoo attached to the shower wall. Extremely disappointed.

Great room, super comfortable bed. Loved the high end toiletries. Friendly service at reception and excellent service at the bar, including really good wine by the glass. Excellent location and easy hotel parking - all you could ask for.

Location wise this is a good property right on the river and next to a pedestrian bridge into the heart of the city. The staff here particularly the restaurant staff and front desk are very helpful and attentive. The property itself though is in major need of renovation. The hotel interior is outdated and in the case of the lamp on the front desk literally falling apart. The rooms are small and ours was awkward with a fridge between the foot of the bed that had a TV on it. We also had spiders in our room and I noticed downstairs in the bar area that many of the lamps had spider webs on them too.

Amazing views and wonderful service from every staff member. This is coming from someone with two 5 year olds. I would 100% stay there again just for the staff. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and well maintained. Our riverside view was awesome.

We felt comfortable, the hotel is quite good, the breakfast was excellent, the location is very good, the view from our room great. What could be better: The room could do with a refurbishment and generally it could be cleaner, although the bathroom and bed linen were immaculate. We would come again!

A bit of construction going on with the hotel, I guess you have to do it when you can. The city is one of my new favorites. Not crazy crowded, great food within walking distance and just a great city to spend a few days. I just updated the location rating mainly because the Hotel is in my new favorite city. I would certainly recommend the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The staff was fantastic, and the accommodations were great (other than the construction...)

I would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza in Maastricht. I had a very pleasant room with a balcony and great view over the river (see photo). I stayed for four days and the weather was terrible, but I can't blame the Crowne Plaza for that. A very enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

I am totally frustrated with this hotel. We originally booked for rooms for 1 night and then cancelled booking and changed to 3 rooms for 2 nights, however this hotel incorrectly charged us twice for the original booking but only credited back once. We also paid for the 3 rooms x 2 nights when we stayed. The hotel emailed to give proof that they had reversed the incorrect charges on 4 Nov 2023 but despite me emailing them twice, they are not responding to my emails asking them to contact me and still have put through the reversal to my credit card as at 21 Nov 2023. These people are thieves - do not stay here!!!

Really perfect location. All city shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The hotel is clean, modern and ship shape - so is the under ground secure parking facility with spacious parking lots. The hotel id overlooking the river and had a good restaurant that serves both inside as well as outside along the river bank/walking path.

The only helpful and welcoming staff are at the reception. But for everything else you need to go down and do it yourself. No bell boys to take your luggage or guide you to the room, no room service. In case you need anything you go down and get your own food.

Really nice location close to the river. We went after lunch for some coffee and digestive and we meet Dylan, the hotel’s Bartender from Italy. He was very professional and well educated, he recommended us limoncello and aperol spritz in the classic Italian style. We really appreciated and enjoyed. The ambience was cozy, clean and warm, with very comfortable chairs. Definitely we will come back again.

The best thing of the hotel is the location, otherwise it is overrated and overpriced. When we tried check-in at 3.30pm, our room ”had something wrong” and we were given another room with river view. The room was cold (energy saving?) but the worst was the terrible smell, like constant cigar smoking in the bathroom. The hotel is outdated and requires significant renovation, especially the ventilation system. We got 10% discount for the inconvenience but overall the hotel is currently very disappointing experience.

I was unhappy with the pet policy. I assumed that there was a pet fee per room, not per dog. Every other pet-friendly hotel we stay at in Europe has charged one fee for our two small dogs (<7 kgs each). When I asked the worker about the charge she was quite direct in correcting me and said it would be 30 euros per night, per dog. Well, if I would've known that, I would've stayed in another hotel in Maastricht because I chose this one because of location and cost and this hotel ended up being more costly when I added another 60 euros per night on top of the room rate. It was not a nice way to start a winter holiday break and I regret booking this hotel.

Brilliant hotel right in the middle of Maastricht. The building itself is a bit ugly but the rooms are lovely, and the staff were great too. Parking is underground and over the other side of the square. It’s pricey.

Great location. Walking distance to sightseeing spots and plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. Friendly service. Fast check in and check out. Spacious room with comfy bed and clean bathroom.

Lots of problems for such a high price. Room door has no functioning dampener so gets slammed every time. Shower with faulty insulation so the floor gets filled with water when showering. Some lamps don't work, and the reception has no universal electric adapter. The room has two floors, which was unexpected and will challenge handicapped. The good points: amazingly comfortable bed, and the place is very close to Andre Rieu's concert. Also, cute little porch. Just not up to the high cost they charged.

Crown Plaza in Maastricht is one of the high end hotels in town. In the 1990s I stayed at this hotel on a weekly basis for years. In June I visited again to experience the city again for a few days. My impression is that the hotel has not changed much. It is still a high end big hotel and the check in is efficient, but not personal. But that is ok. With regard to parking they offer space in a nearby (private?) parking garage. The hotel offers 20 Euro per 24 hour from you arrive. In my case it was 60 Euro for my stay calculated by the front desk. They also informed that the parking was 14 Euro per day if I wanted to park the car as any other garage users. So that was calculated to 60 Euro also. I did the latter and arranged my parking myself. And the bill showed that it was 14 Euro per 24 hours, not per day. So I saved a few bucks. It is unnecessary of the check in staff to misinform about this. My suggestion is to arrange your own parking. Every morning we made a cup of coffee for a starter. My coffee cup had a little dent in it that was hardly visible. But to my surprise the next day a clean cup was provided with the same dent in it. And it repeated itself every morning. One morning I arrived back to the room after breakfast and the staff was almost done cleaning the room. And the same coffee cup was cleaned and returned. So the only explanation is that they cleaned the coffee cup in the bathroom sink and dried it using the towel. This is not acceptable. Especially in Covid times. The intended 5 stars slide down to 3 stars because of this experience. Will I come back. Yes I will.

Booked a family room with a river for 4 nights. Hotel location was perfect near town centre and local restaurants and bars. The reception staff were both professional and courteous. Found a few minor problems with the room on arrival. However these were quickly and effectively resolved. A hand written apology from the duty manager was a nice touch and much appreciated. Overall a very positive experience with excellent customer service and would stay again. Top tip book local car parking direct with Q-Park as going through the hotel website is double the cost.

Great hotel for a weekend break. In the middle of the social district and amazing views! Picture from our room.

The good stuff: the hotel is close enough to the city centrum, so it's easy to get everyehere by foot. The rooms are nice, big and clean. The breakfast was divers enough to please everyone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The not-so-good stuuf: the bathrooms needs improvements. The rooms facing the river have a really nice view, but the noise made by the passing boats or the persons talking on the terrace can be disturbing sometimes.

We stayed in this hotel to attend a graduation, very good location, nice views overlooking the river and bridge if your dining or in the bar. Rooms are ok to sleep it needs upgrading decorations , carpets stains visible , bathrooms are not impressive stained on toilet bowl no matter how many flushes it makes.I will rate the restaurant 5 * as it really good menus and uses fresh ingredients and the portion is big not thrifty but maintaining the quality and presentation of food. The bar is good as they serve the right quantity of alcohol we ordered. Fast services ,efficient staff and nice aswell.
