Great place to stay. Rooms are not big ofcourse, but hey, you are sleeping of a boot. Located extremely close to city centre and opposite of a beautiful park. Having breakfast on the deck, watching boats passing by on the Maas. Great way to start a day. Definitely a ‘go there!’

We spent a day at the hostel, but it was the worst experience. The person at the reception desk suffered racism several times. I don't even want to think! Because of this hotel, you will never come to Maastricht again. After we confirmed that several people were sitting at the bar around the evening, we asked the staff if they could use the table, but the staff's answer was a spectacle. The answer was that only people from Schengen countries, that is, EU people, can sit at the tables in the bar. So we sat on the outside terrace, but the staff came out and prevented us from even using the terrace because we were not European. Worst experience! We entered the dorm late in the evening and prepared to sleep without saying anything to each other, but the staff knocked on the door and warned us to be quiet. But we swear we didn't say anything. Actually the next room was noisy, it only warned us. We chose this hotel for the first time as a new experience, but this hotel was a “new” with a different meaning. It is not soundproofed at all, so the sound of the next room can be heard as it is. Also, when I heard the sound of the toilet going down, I thought the boat was leaving. The shower room is also only about 1 square meter. Shower supplies are not provided and facilities are not good. Also there is no wifi on the bottom floor. When it rains, the boat shakes, so be careful of motion sickness. The fact that there are people who are racist is a enough reason not to come here. There are many better hotels with similar prices around, so I recommend it.

Great location. Good price. Loud rooms, only share a room if you’re willing to hear each other in the bathroom. Surprisingly comfortable beds. Good for a place to crash one night after exploring the city.

It's not really good. Too pricey for what it offers. Small rooms and small beds. If the price was lower that would be fine but this place can't even get the basics right of running a business. Rooms were not clean and no matter what you pay for a room they should be clean. They also did not even offer any soap in the bathroom so make sure to bring your own. To add insult to injury they will happily charge you regular restaurant prices for reslly bad coffee or other restaurant items. The people who are running this establishment clearly don't have any experience in the hospitality business.

Novel and conveniently located lodging. Staff were kind and helpful, great value for the area, cabin and bed were very comfortable and the motion of the river was relaxing and helped me sleep. Great view of river traffic from my room and the bar area, and of a stunning sunrise. It's a short walk from the Old Town center on one side of the river, and very close to the train and bus stations on the other.

Recently renovated, the staff is very friendly and professional, and the bar/breakfast area and the terrace are very cozy. The rooms aren't the most comfortable, but they are just fine if you are in Maastricht to explore the city and simply want a place to sleep. Everything is clean and smells new, and it's probably the best price/value you'll find in Maastricht

Man liebt diesen Ort sofort!

Mit viel Liebe eingerichtet macht das Botel richtig was her. Preis-Leistung stimmt

Very noisy at night, make sure you bring earplugs or you’re in for a sleepless night! Shower only had cold water. Otherwise our stay was good: beds are small but good, staff was friendly and helpful.

It's an ok place for the price to stay for one night. The room had very small windows and no ac so when I was there in 30C weather it was VERY hot in the room. Plus there were a lot of mosquitoes. But apart from that it's a nice place with friendly staff.

We got a room for 2 people with a large bed. It was tiny but cosy. Clean as well. But the boat is really noisy. You can hear everything from all around rooms: water running, doors, chats... Service is friendly. The breakfast is basic.

I stayed about 7 years ago, I loved the place and the owner was the best! I was biking across Europe and ended up having great times drinking with him! I’m hoping to come back soon!

It's a boat. And a hotel. A Botel. Rooms are small but nice. The combination toilet/shower wet room works surprisingly well. The staff (crew?) Is excellent. They are all extremely knowledgeable of the area and its history.

No aircon , but a good community style management, good people and great location . Like it

The location is very nice and the fact that you sleep on a boat is awesome. However the room was filled with bugs (including a cockroach) and way too hot. It wasn't properly cleaned either and the toilets were nasty. This place has a lot of potential but should be run better.

I stayed here in October 2005 just for the experience. All the one-star reviews are valid if you are going for comfort. But just the experience I had in the lobby before I turned in was worth more stars. They had a good selection of beer and I got to watch Dutch TV. Then a group of Romanian Roma (Gypsies) came in and brought their instruments and played the most fantastic music! Very friendly guys. It was an experience I'll never forget. The hotel manager was also very welcoming. If you want an unique hotel experience try it out.

Good place to spend a weekend or a few days. It has clean, small rooms. Also there is a common area where the breakfast (good to start the day) is served in the morning and where you can sit whenever you want to admire the river Maas and the right bank. Wifi available in the hotel but good signal in the common area.

At least ask for the rooms in the top “floor”, the rooms under have no windows and looks much worse than the pictures from booking.

Lovely location, there is a park right across the street, the rooms are very clean but also tiny ( but for the price totally okay). The staff is very kind 👍🏼

Imposible to sleep due to noise. Seems like you are having people shouting in your room the whole night. Not to mention the tiny bed linen that is not enough for two people and the curtain full of dead insects that does not even cover the window. I wish I could have my money back for such a bad place.
