Awesome hotel. I went here with 2 other families and the rooms were great. I read other reviews, where they talked about rats/loud noise. I experienced none of that. Notably, the shower. I was in love with the 3 modes! I've never had so much delight in showering compared to other hotels. Another thing was the Rituals soap and gels. They smelled awesome, and I am impressed by it. The food for breakfast was really tasty and filling. Novotel's breakfasts never disappoint. There is a good amount of activities within the hotel, such as an Xbox 360 with a 2-player game on it, a big football table and a small kids area with toys and such, with another Xbox with a FIFA or so game in it. The lobby is nice and big. There is a sufficient amount of parking spots outside. Not noisy either. The staff is nice, and there is a big bar with lots of seating. There is a big elevator that has 4 floors. The hallways are nice. The key cards are nice and secure. The doors are nicely soundproofed. You can't hear anything coming out from other people's rooms. There were also some downsides. 4 notable complaints are: The television was disappointing as always. All it had was boring channels that 80% of guests won't look at. Why don't hotels move to smart TVs yet? It's not as if anyone is going to watch the channels. The 2nd bed (the extendable sofa) was super creaky, super noisy when you moved over it and had pointy bits of metal sticking out under and on the sides of it. It would be much better and safer if they added some sort of cover over it in order to not get hurt getting off of the extendable bed. There weren't enough ports to charge all my family's devices. At least 2 on each side of the big bed and 2 behind the TV would be satisfactory. When someone goes into the toilet, and someone is in the bathroom at the same time, you can smell the disgusting smell from the toilet of excrete in the bathroom. PLEASE fix this issue.

Never again. When calling to make a reservation: After initial contact and explaining desired period and number of rooms, I was put on hold for 15 minutes. Then they broke off connection without further conversation. On calling back the same receptionist simply played innocent. When insisting that this behavior was highly unprofessional, the comment was “we had a little problem at the reception”. No excuses. Novotel Maastricht: never again

Hotel mostly ok apart from the rats. A little dated but ok for the price. Inside of hotel was clean but during breakfast we could see the outdoor pool area and patio dining area full of rats. Only managed to photo one, but there were 5 there at one stage.

I had a long stay during the TEFAF fair and the hotel is okay in my opinion. Simple and light equipped. They have rental bike because local people bike a lot. The room was small and nice with housekeeping done nicely everyday. Buffet breakfast was okay but 3 blocks down there are also supermarket for more selection. I did not have time to enjoy the pool. The local taxi is somewhat hard to get need to always wait for 10 minutes or carpool with others.

I wish i had NEVER EVER booked this hotel ! In the begining of March, I booked one night via booking and paid online, but one week later I was notified by my bank that my deposit was deducted by this hotel. They double charged me !! Then i call them, email them, week after week. No one applogizes for their mistakes, carelessness and ignorances. Till today, after more than one month, NO refund received yet ! only reply i recieved is that "please wait patiently, we are busy". Fantastic reason !

However , the nobility of some of them reveals the sobriety that emerges from this beautiful place , whose interior exudes a bewitching cleanliness . The rooms , the bar , the restaurant , and the terrace with a swimming pool give an impression of an irresistible vision of an ideal luxury campsite . The staff is very welcoming .

After more than a year in a pandemic situation, we were excited to spend 1 night at Novotel Maastricht. As an Accor member we are familiar with the professional standard of Novotel , but to our surprise, it turned out Novotel Maastricht was unable to cope with the Spring Sport Car Rally event they sponsor and the guests they had. At check-in we were told restaurant was fully booked for dinner but surely we could request room service. When we arrived at our room we noticed there was no menu so we called the kitchen for it and we were informed they would be very busy, so room service would take long. We then called the room service at 17:30 for our order and we were told that was not going to happen. We explained we were promised room service and after checking with someone, the person on the phone said we could have dinner, as long as we went down to collect it. We have never done that before… but having a child, we had to go downstairs for our dinner not once but two times and all the way with the trays to our bedroom. That was shocking as we should have had same treatment as all the other guests. We surely felt discriminated and that we did not receive the service we paid for. We therefore do not recommend the hotel, unless you are willing to pick up your own room service. For what is worth, lady at reception apologized at check out as she seemed embarrassed with situation, and although kitchen personnel prepared food in 20 minutes, they showed no effort to provide professional customer service and proper room service… it was pick up service!

Hotel was nice and clean. Had a great looking pool but I didn't get a chance to use it. Best part is that I could bring my dog!

Excellent service and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable about where to park in town and very dog friendly with a really amazing surprise food/toy box on arrival…a HUGE surprise! Thanks for a great stay! 🙂👌🏻

Matrass was saggy, and made for a very poor night sleep. Rooms do let in a fair bit of noise from the neighbours and the hallway too. Breakfast is okay-ish, but not worth the price you pay. Overall it was fairly clean.

Anouk gave us a wonderful welcome including choc cellos. I've said 5 stars for location but I guess it depends what you want. It was a €13 taxi ride from the station but right beside the place we are having our preconcert dinner. Novotel also do dinners with shuttle to Andre Rieu concerts but we already had our tickets before booking the Novotel or we would have chosen the Novotel.

We brought our dog for an overnight stay, it was very efficiently set up. My obedient dog had a good time too, by the poolside for breakfast 😁 and very close to the city centre 4 minutes by car. Quiet and cool sleeping environment and Rituals bath set which I liked. For the price I think it's good value for money. Breakfast offered some variety to cater for most diet needs and wants. Once again, for the price for breakfast, I think it was satisfactory. Once again, I would bring my dog back. Very happy with this set up.

Good place to stay overnight for a weekend. Ideal place out of the centrum but close, so you can enjoy the great shops, museums and restaurants. Hotel is nice, comfortable,.clean, good staff. Has also a nice pool for a cooldown. Has a restaurant with good food too.

My biggest critique is the air conditioning in the room is completely inadequate. The air was actually blowing warmer than the hallway temperature despite being on the lowest setting. Very uncomfortable in the summer. I usually opt for Novotel when I have my dog considering they are one of the few that allow pets in Maastricht. Location is fine, obviously you know you’re going to be outside of the city center, but the walk is not too far. This is a very standard chain, but they need to really consider upgrading the air conditioning system. Pros: dog friendly, comfortable bed, Rituals products Cons: air conditioning (don’t go in the summer if you like to sleep in cooler temps)

One of the older style Novotel hotels, however you always know what to expect. The staff were very friendly and helpful, both on check-in and during dinner. The car park is outdoor, but secure and well spaced, so no issues there. We were a little too late for the pool, which closes at 8pm, but it looked inviting. Only downside was that I had one to many drinks, which was entirely my fault.

We stayed there for 2 nights. We as a family, including 4 months old baby enjoyed the stay. Crib was available for our baby. Everything was clean and tidy. Service is good. Location is the best to stay in Maastricht so that you can explore within short time. Centrum is near. Grocery stores 10 min away by walking. Overall, it is good for families as well. I didn't see baby pool but I didn't even ask. We didn't take Breakfast Service there.

Nice hôtel, close to centre town. Friendly and welcoming staff. The room was not big but was good, a family room with a double bed and a sofa bed for 2 children. Unfortunatly we cale at a wrong time as it was raining so we couldn't use the outside facilities and gales for children or the swimming pool. Breakfast also was good, and well prepared. We will come back again on our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay! The hotel was close enough to where we needed to go and the room was comfortable for three of us. You can rent bikes at the front desk for a reasonable price which I think is a great amenity. It’s a decent walk to the city center from here but a very easy bike ride.

Lovely hotel with only friendly faces and an AMAZING RESTAURANT!!! Jeron and Mathilda made our dinner extra special for no reason at all, Thank you very much!! We will certainly be back just to see them again 🤩😎✌🏻

For a platinum member, rooms are still available the same as normal customer. Towel for usage of swimming pool is not available because of out of stock. Customer service needs to improve.

We had booked a room online. It was a 4 person room but the description of the room said it was possible to add one more bed if needed at no extra charge. There were no 5 person rooms available, so we booked this room. We are a family of 5, but when we arrived we were told it was impossible for 5 persons to live in the room due to fire restrictions. We were offered another room wich was three times the price- something we naturally declined. We then had to search for another hotell in the area and ended up having to drive to Belgium to find a hotell late on a Saturday evening. Very misleading information in the room description, and very low servicemindedness in the given situation.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was really nice, lots of local breads etc. We were here for André Rieu concerts, but Maastricht deserves a visit on its own right. Recommended.

The staffs are excellently hospitable but strangely no airconditioning in the building. 🥲 The room was extremely humid, I couldn’t get a good night’s sleep. I hope they manage to fix the AC system soon since summer’s coming.

We stayed one night and couldn’t wait to leave the hotel forever. The air conditioning was not working, the rooms smelled bad. The key card they gave us didn’t work multiple times, we had to go up and down 3 floors to the reception 3 times, and on the 4th try, we just asked that they come up to open the door personally for us because the locks just weren’t working. The reception was quite rude and arrogant. You will find many better hotels in this city.

We stayed one night there. We had a spacious Room fully equipped including a water boiler. It is located in a quite neighbourhood in Maastricht. Even it was lots of people in the hotel, it still was quite. What I really liked was they gave us a chance to use the buffet option for the breakfast in the restaurant but take them to our room because of the pandemic rather than a prepared package. The staff were super friendly and professional. One point was that they have parking lots but we had to pay for that which I found it a bit strange however it was not that expensive.

We loved this place, the room/bed/facilities were very welcoming and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. The crib they provided was very comfortable for our little one (1 year old). The breakfast was delicious!! The only downside for us was that our room (207) was very warm even when the weather outside was around 18-20⁰C. I guess it gets all the afternoon sun, so we should have left the window open when we left to visit the city to ensure it would remain colder inside. Taking that aside, we loved our stay!
